Chapter 37 #2
I looked up at him as I stroked my fingers along his knuckles with the aim to ground him. “I’m happy with the way you make me feel in bed,” I whispered, letting him see the sincerity in my eyes.
His smirk deepened, the kind of smirk that made my stomach flutter and thighs clench.
And I was very aware that Xavier could smell my arousal. One of the reasons my vampire prince kept grinning at me the entire time.
It was like all my mates knew what I was thinking, feeling and yearning.
“I know, little robin,” Malakai whispered against my skin. “I’ve seen the way your eyes roll back when I’m inside you. I’ve felt your tears on my chest after I’ve wrung every drop of pleasure from you.”
He leaned in, his lips ghosting across my ear, voice dropping to a delicious growl. “But I don’t want quiet tears tonight. I want screams. I want everyone in Carnivalland to know who you belong to, including Xavier and my baby brother.”
A tremble ran through me, and he felt it. Of course, he did.
He was the only one since my childhood that felt everything.
“So,” he said, pulling back just enough to meet my gaze, “…what do you say about a little game?”
I bit my bottom lip, heart hammering, breath already shallow. “A game?”
His grin turned almost feral. This was a side of Malakai I never thought he had.
“Oh yes,” he whispered, “and in this one, I make the rules…”
“What rules?”
“You will see soon enough. When this dinner is over. Come to our bedroom.”
The rest of the time at dinner, I couldn’t think of anything else but what Malakai wanted to do with me. Xavier just grinned, amused at me the entire time, like he knew exactly what my angel had planned out for me.
Although I said goodbye to Damien and Xavier to meet up with Malakai, it was clear that later we’d all be sleeping together in the same bed, one way or another.
Before I made my way over to Malakai’s bedroom, I quickly changed into my silk gown. The excitement coursed through my veins; my body started to get tingly. I wanted to know what kind of game he had planned and somehow, I already knew it would end up with us shedding our clothes off.
I knocked at his door and then opened it tentatively.
“Baby, could you please stop knocking like some guest, you’re my woman. You can come in whenever you want,” he said.
“I’m sorry, it’s probably an old habit of mine.”
“Did you have to knock when you used to be at home?” he asked, like he was able to sense every feeling, every memory I still carried inside me.
“Well, now you’re here, baby, and you’ll never knock at my door ever again, okay?
The only sounds on the door I want you to make are the ones that are caused by fucking you against it. ”
“This is your game? Taking me against the door?” I asked, amused, but his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes, as Malakai’s fingers brushed possessively against my face.
“Ready for our little game?”
I nodded nervously.
“You’ll run in the garden… and I’ll chase you and if I catch you…” Malakai didn’t end the sentence, but I obviously knew what he was implying.
“Malakai,” I admonished him. My breaths got shorter, why did the presence of my mates have such an extreme effect on me?
“Fly my little robin, like the beautiful bird you are. As soon as I find you, I will bend you over and take you in any kind of forms that exist,” he responded, smirking, and brushed some strands of my hair back.
“That’s so unholy for an angel, Malakai.”
“It’s a matter of perspective, don’t you think? In my opinion I’m just treasuring you in every way an angel binds to his mate.”
I felt his hands gripping my hips tightly, clearly on the edge and then he leaned against my hair, whispering, “You are mine, don’t forget it.
You are bound to my brother and to Xavier, yes.
But your soul is still connected to mine.
There is no stronger bond than the one with an angel.
I was able to sense you before you even knew about me. ”
Excitement and nervousness spread through me and my entire body became hot. I never thought out of all my mates, Malakai would be the one chasing me in the woods.
“Okay,” I whispered. “Can I have a head start?”
“One minute, no more.”
“Only one minute? But that’s not fair!”
“This is not hide and seek baby, this is run and fuck. I can’t wait any longer to have my lips on your pussy.”
Heat collected in my core, my legs trembling with anticipation as I made my first steps out the door.
I had no idea which way would be the best option, so I just ran.
The sun had already gone down, and the trees cast dappled shadows on the earth.
As I darted between the towering trees in the garden, I wondered whether Malakai would decide to chase me by running or flying.
I wasn’t even sure If I ever saw him use his wings to fly.
I wondered if his wounds still made it possible.
“My little robin, you can’t escape me.” I heard Malakai say behind me.
I glanced back, but there was no one. With a burst of energy, I ran left, weaving through the garden, my feet barely making a sound.
The thrill of the chase sent adrenaline coursing through my veins.
I wanted him, I needed him, and I felt he was very close.
“Catch me if you can,” I teased, my voice so playful as I picked up speed.
That was so unlike me. The shy girl at home would never have done anything like this.
But here in Carnivalland. I felt like my soul could finally reach its peak, and I could be the person I always yearned to be.
I guessed because I had finally found my family.
I recognized a shadowed movement over me, looking up to see Malakai flying down to me. The sight of him was breathtaking, I still couldn’t believe he was mine.
“There you are,” Malakai said, amused, as his feet hit the ground, a mischievous smile on his utterly stunning face. And all I wanted was to feel the heat of his skin against mine, for him to make good on his promise and take me wholly, in whatever form his desire chose.
He threw me down onto the ground, his body pressing me down, like he wanted to invade all my skin with his own. I felt him gripping my pussy, causing me to gasp.
“Damn it, you weep for the slightest touch,” Malakai murmured with a crooked grin, sliding his fingers between my trembling thighs, making me shudder helplessly.
“Open,” he said. His command vibrated through the entirety of my body. Every limb, every bone, every inch of my skin was burning up.
Slowly, obediently, I parted my legs wider for him, and Malakai wasted no time sliding the delicate lace of my panties down. I stifled a nervous giggle, my heart pounding in wild excitement at his roughness. His thumb pressed firmly against my clit, making my back arch instantly in response.
In a swish of seconds, he freed himself from his pants, his cock was hard and swollen when he shoved it inside me.
Just as he began to move, his cock pulsed deep inside me.
I gasped, my eyes widening at the shock of feeling his piercing hit the deepest parts of me.
He must have been very careful the first time we had sex, because this time I was able to feel everything.
Like Malakai had tried to hold back for so long, only to finally show me what’s hidden deep inside his angelic shell.
Without warning, Malakai gripped me and flipped me around, placing me reverse onto his lap, my back pressed against his chest as he pounded into me from behind.
“Ride me, baby,” he growled against my ear, his hands locking firmly onto my hips to guide me into a rhythm that quickly became desperate, hungry.
“You’re the hottest sight… just like this,” he breathed heavily against my ear after he gripped my head backwards, capturing my lips.
“It doesn’t matter how often I look at you, I’ll never get used to you being mine,” he rasped, cupping both my breasts as his hips thrust up into me in powerful rolls. My entire body stood in lava.
“Your moans, baby... You have no idea how wild they drive me. Whenever I hear those sounds and it’s not my cock inside you causing them, it makes me want to do very unholy things.”
“What things?”
“Sometimes I want to punish you.”
The confession shattered something inside me… not from fear, but from overwhelming need.
“What kind of punishment?” I dared to ask, my voice barely audible, curiosity pooling in my belly like heat.
He grinned at my question, his fingers delving into the strands of my hair. I became curious.
“Punishment I won’t ever try with you,” he stated.
“Why?”
“Do I hear disappointment?” Malakai gave me a cocky smile and gripped my hips in his hands.
“Are you afraid of punishing me?” It wasn’t like Damien and Xavier never tried.
“I’m not afraid of punishing you, Gwendolyn. I’m afraid of causing harm. I don’t want to hurt you, to push you too far and make you see things that should be hidden deep inside me. My biggest aim is to protect you, and sometimes that means setting boundaries.”
I understood his fear of losing control. Malakai was always so reserved and distant about showing affection and now he was talking about doing stuff with me he was too ashamed to admit.
I kissed his soft lips and embraced him in my arms, my fingers stroking his wings.
“Mmm, that feels nice,” he whispered, his voice low and husky. “You have such soft skin, you’re soft everywhere.”
Malakai pulled me even closer, his arms wrapping around me in a protective embrace like he didn’t want us to be a single inch apart from each other.
I nuzzled my face into his beautiful white hair, inhaling him and his sweet scent as if I needed to memorize every inch, every smell of him.
“I could stay like this forever,” he murmured, his voice filled with contentment as his naked body held mine.
His fingers stroked down my hips until his fingers dug into my flesh, almost possessively trying to mark my skin with his touch.
My hands reached out to graze over his arms. Malakai’s muscles tensed slightly at my touch.
I wanted to ask him if his reactions to me were heightened due to what happened to him or if it was solely based on him being an angel.
As I stroked the soft skin of his arms with my fingers, he seemed to relax again.
“Sometimes I have these demons inside me, Gwendolyn. They want me to destroy us, everything we have. I’ve hurt you; I’ve made mistakes by putting distance between us, but I can’t help it.
I’m scared of hurting you,” he suddenly confessed.
He took a deep breath, steeling himself before he continued pressing kisses against my hair.
“I’m not afraid of you, and never will be. As long as I see you as good, it will be enough for both of us, Malakai. You don’t need to prove your love to me,” I whispered in his ear. A sigh escaped his lips, almost like he was relieved.
“I love you so much, Gwendolyn, I’ll never get tired of saying it. You are mine.” I knew in that moment I was truly his and he was truly mine, and not a single person could destroy what we had.
“I don’t deserve you,” I muttered against his thigh as I was laying across his lap.
Malakai leaned in closer, his lips brushing against my ear.
“If anyone is undeserving, Gwendolyn. It’s me.
But never you. You have no idea how badly I wanted to hold you in the human realm.
When I was trapped in darkness, all I thought about was how your skin would feel against mine.
I’ve been wanting to fuck you since the first time I laid my eyes on you in the living room—fuck this body until I ruin it because I’m too broken to not destroy you.
It was the hardest task in my life to put this distance between you and me.
You’ve been driving me so insane. The way you feel, you love me and I love you, it is the most beautiful, breaking feeling. ”
I smiled, my heart shattering at seeing Malakai’s tears. And I knew they weren’t just tears, but signs of grief, hope, and memories as well.
A single drop hit my skin, making me gaze upward at the sky.
Rain.
For the first time since I’ve been here in Carnivalland, it was raining. Almost like heaven itself couldn’t bear my angel’s sorrow and the sky broke open.
