Chapter 38
As I felt the drops of water splashing onto my skin, it was like something had changed. Not just in me, but in all of us.
Suddenly, I perceived a lingering scent of fresh musk, citrus and a slight hint of peppermint in the air, reminding me of Damien’s scent.
My eyes fell toward Malakai, his beautiful eyes gazing at me with so much admiration and love I’d never believed I could ask for.
He took my face in his hands, his fingers brushing against my cheek, grounding me at this very moment.
causing me to focus on him. “Do you know what this means?” he asked softly, brushing through the strands of my hair, as if he was memorizing every single inch of me.
Before I could answer, a click of boots made me turn my head.
By the sound of it, I knew it was Damien stepping into the garden.
The droplets of rain clung to his lashes; his white hair wet.
He was so beautiful; he was always beautiful.
But whenever he came into contact with water, whether in the Ancient Springs, in the shower, or now in the rain, he radiated something so deep and unreachable for everyone else around him.
The water seemed to speak only to him… in the form of praise and worship, as if every droplet was drawn to Damien the same way as I was drawn to him.
“Damien?” I asked, unsure if I was breathing at this very moment, almost too overwhelmed by emotions.
How could simple rain affect me so much?
His lips curved into a smile, making my heart tighten, as he pressed his body against mine, wrapping his arms around me. “It’s me,” he murmured against my skin, his soft lips grazing from my forehead along my cheek down to my jaw, until he captured my lips softly.
“What? Is it you?” I asked, unsure. He nodded, his lips pressing against mine again, this time with more force.
He took my face in his hands, his fingers caressing my skin, as his grey eyes found mine. “I’m just happy, Gwendolyn. These are happy tears.”
“How? Why?” I couldn’t even process how surprised I sounded. I knew because of his capability to shift into a dragon, he was blessed with certain powers. But I had no idea that if he cried it would cause rain. However, I had never seen Damien cry until now.
“It is the bond, Gwendolyn. Our bond,” he explained, as he pressed a kiss on my hand. “It changes everything now. Our bond is so strong, and it only gets stronger.” He didn’t sound anxious as I had assumed, he was relieved, almost in awe of what our bond could do.
Behind him, Xavier emerged from the archway. The scent of amber and rum clinging to his black blouse. His green eyes met mine and then they quickly drifted toward the sky, where the soft drops were still falling from heaven like some sort of blessing of Damien’s powers.
“You’re the reason my clothes are now ruined, Damien?” Xavier chuckled, his beautiful green eyes widening with surprise and amusement. “You never mentioned that your powers could do that.”
“Well… I never knew how much the bond to Gwendolyn could affect my powers,” he said, taking me into his arms, stroking over my back.
Xavier smirked, but it was softened with affection, as he stepped closer to me, trailing his fingers over my shoulder before pressing a soft kiss on my lips. “You are all soaked, my love. I won’t let you catch a cold. Come, let’s get you warm,” he voiced, his tone serious.
Before I could respond, his arms swept under my knees and back, lifting me up effortlessly.
I gasped softly, wrapping my arms around his neck as he began carrying me inside our home, toward his bathroom.
Damien and Malakai followed close behind, the echo of their footsteps, a rhythm I’d grown to know like the beating of my own heart.
As soon as we were inside the room, the scent of angelica, vanilla and wildflowers lingered in the air. It was a new scent, and Xavier once said it was the smell of our fulfilled bond. The scent of our love, shared desire, and passion.
Damien’s strong frame glistened as he unbuttoned his shirt, his silver-blue eyes watching me with an intensity that made my skin prickle.
Malakai stood right beside him, his wings half-unfurled, and his gaze unreadable.
And yet, there was always something in his silence that anchored me, because I knew even if there was a raging storm outside, his presence calmed me.
Before I could decide which of my men I’d stare at as they undressed, Xavier began peeling away my soaked dress with slow reverence. The cold vanished under his touch, and its place bloomed with warmth and desire.
I could feel the unspoken tension floating between our bare bodies and wet skin.
Damien’s eyes flickered toward me like he yearned to touch me, but restrained himself.
Xavier’s arms were behind me, brushing circles along my spine, but never lower.
And Malakai… my sweet, pure Malakai was focused on gently working the shampoo into my scalp, as if this was some sacred ritual to him.
They were all so tender and loving to me…
and yet, it wasn’t enough. My body ached. For release. For them.
I wasn’t even sure if my angel would ever consider intimacy in front of others, not after everything he’d been through. And Damien and Xavier… they also didn’t seem to be so keen on sharing me.
Although, I had no right to complain. They loved me deeply, fiercely, like I was their center of the universe.
I was loved. And still… Gwendolyn from the human world might have buried this ache under shyness and guilt, but the version of me sitting in the tub now, fully bonded, was starting to get a little bolder—and horny.
“What’s going on in that beautiful mind of yours?” Malakai asked softly, his fingers massaging slow, circular motions into my scalp. I needed to bite my lip to prevent a moan escaping me.
“She is thinking something very dirty,” Damien murmured, amused, against my shoulder, his lips pressing playful kisses along my skin.
“Damien,” I scolded him, though my voice lacked any real threat. He could read my thoughts after all. I could feel the heat spreading all the way down to my chest. I tried to hide my blushing face between my knees, but it was no use.
However, Malakai was way too gentle, too respectful to tease me. And despite him having fucked me in the garden like a beast earlier, he’d never openly share my dirty thoughts with someone else. Not if I didn’t give him the allowance.
But Damien? He was a different story. He might have been the sweetest outside, always seeming distant and cautious, but behind closed doors he was so different. I still couldn’t forget how he made me come with ice cubes and drenched my entire body in honey.
“Can you even blame me?” I mumbled, trying to gather some dignity. “I just… I mean, you cried tears from heaven…” I trailed off. What was I even talking about?
“And that’s making you horny? That my happy tears caused rain?” Damien asked, seeming to be even more amused now.
“But I feel there is probably another reason as well?” Xavier cut in smoothly, a teasing grin curling his lips, almost reminding me of a jester.
“What reason?”
“You are whole now. Fully bonded. The feeling is only natural to want to feel all of us at the same time,” Xavier explained.
“That wasn’t what I had meant…” I stuttered, hiding my face fully now, wishing I could drown myself in bubbles and disappear in my little Wonderland portal again. And Xavier’s wardrobe wasn’t even that far.
Xavier’s hand found mine and stroked it gently. “Really? It isn’t what your heavenly pussy right now yearns for?” Oh, Xavier’s tone was too playful. He really enjoyed teasing me. “We are always ready to give you what you crave, Gwendolyn, and this includes our bodies.”
Behind me, Malakai rinsed the shampoo from my hair, his touch like a blessing.
And as he leaned forward, kissing me softly, I turned enough to stroke his cheek in return.
That little spark of affection ignited something in my core.
A hunger that was no longer just about sex, but being claimed… by all of them.
“I wasn’t sure how… all of you would feel about being together like that.”
They all stared at me for a moment, like I’d spoken a different language with them.
“I mean…” I shrugged a little. “You never seemed thrilled about sharing me physically. That is why…”
“That is why what?” he asked, pressing soft kisses against my face, making my core burn with heat. Malakai’s fingers began to draw lazy circles on my shoulder now.
“Well… why did it never happen?” The question barely left my lips, but I craved nothing more than to know. How would they feel?
“We’ve only been bonded for a short time. We wanted to give you time to adjust to the feeling of three mates,” Xavier said, amused. “But if you’re needy and whimpering for us, we’ll make it happen. We will give you everything.”
I closed my eyes, leaning into his touch. “I want…” My voice caught in my throat, as his fingers trailed down softly against the curve of my hips. It was nearly impossible to form any words right now, not when he was touching me like that and I knew Damien and Malakai were watching me.
“You know what I want,” I whispered, breathless. Why was he torturing me like this?
“Yes, I know,” Xavier murmured, “…but it would be so much sweeter coming from these sinful delicious lips.” His thumb drew circles over my lip, like he aimed to draw the confession from me.
“I need all of you… I want you to share me,” I finally confessed, my voice barely audible anymore.
“Don’t we share you already?” Xavier asked with a smirk. His green eyes darkened with a mix of amusement and desire. It was when the green of his eyes started to turn blood red that he showed his lust for me fully.
“You know what I’m talking about,” I said.
