Chapter 29

Tex

Hendrix undressed me—batting my hands away when I tried to help—then pushed me down onto the bed. “Just relax and enjoy.”

I bit my bottom lip, watching as he unbuttoned his shirt, exposing a gentle swell of pecs tipped by rosy nipples and the dark hair arrowing down his belly that I always wanted to trace with my tongue.

“Not sure why you’re rewarding me right now, but I’ll take it,” I murmured as he peeled out of his jeans and briefs.

Hollywood climbed onto the bed and crawled over me, bracketing me with his hands and knees. His cock, half hard and growing stiffer and longer by the second, lightly brushed my thigh.

“This isn’t a reward.” He dipped his head to kiss me. His lips were a soft, sweet brush. I lifted my head, trying to chase the kiss, but he pulled back. “This is love, Tex.”

My heart contracted sharply. “I don’t deser—”

He locked his lips with mine again, harder this time. He bit down on my lower lip, tugging until I opened with a gasp. Then his tongue swept inside.

“You deserve my love,” he said, voice a little breathless when he pulled back. “If you didn’t, we wouldn’t be here. I decide who gets my heart, Tex. Understand? I choose you.”

“I choose you too.” My voice trembled as the words came out.

There were too many emotions crowding my chest. It was hard to breathe.

I’d been so afraid of losing him when I admitted to my mistake.

I’d never imagined Hendrix would take me to bed and shower me with love.

But then, in my fear, I’d forgotten just how big his heart could be.

How sweet and caring he was. How unlike my father.

He never would have forgiven me for running away otherwise. He’d given me a second chance. And now a third.

It wouldn’t be the last time he had to forgive me, either. I wouldn’t stop making mistakes. I knew that. But maybe I could start trusting Hollywood to love me, anyway.

The way I loved him.

He kissed my right eyebrow, then brushed his lips just under my left eye. He traced his way down my jawline, featherlight kisses that poured warmth through me. Not lust. Something much sweeter.

My eyes burned when he gently pushed my head to the side to kiss my neck. God, I was so lucky to have this man. I couldn’t believe I’d ever wanted to erase this attraction, push it down and hide it. Hendrix was the best thing to ever happen to me.

He laid his hand over my chest. “Your heart is racing and you’re shaking, babe. Are you okay?”

I let out a shuddery breath. “You’re just so amazing.”

His full lips hooked up on the right, his crooked smile nearly undoing me. “I’ve barely gotten started.”

His gentle kisses turned to licks and nips, making me jerk and hiss. When he dipped his tongue into my belly button, I nearly shot off the bed. He eased back, chuckling. “Turn over. I want to rim you.”

I turned onto hands and knees, glancing over my shoulder. “Did you want to fuck me?”

His eyebrows shot up. “I wasn’t planning on it. Do you want me to?”

“Maybe sometime. I don’t think today’s a good choice. I’m a little raw, you know?”

He rubbed my ass. “I know, babe. I just want to make you feel good. Feel loved. There’s no need to push your limits right now.”

I nodded. “Okay. Another time.”

His smile turned a little wicked, and he spread my ass cheeks, exposing me. “Definitely. I’d love to stretch out this tight little hole.”

He punctuated his words with a lick over my rim, making me jerk. “Oh, fuck.”

He chuckled, a gust of warm air tickling nerve endings before the slick heat of his tongue obliterated every other sensation. He licked and teased until I was a raw nerve ending, ready to light up at the slightest touch.

“Hendrix,” I gasped. “I gotta…”

I grabbed my dick, squeezing it. He reached around me, but he didn’t stop me. Just added his hand to mine, helping me stroke, while he buried his tongue in my ass.

I came hard, the world sliding out of focus as I shouted hoarsely into the pillow. Ruby wasn’t here, but some habits stuck with you. I bit into the fabric, shuddering, until Hollywood jerked it out from under me.

“I want to hear you,” he said.

My shout had morphed into a whimpering moan that was a little embarrassing. Tears flooded down my cheeks. My breath hitched in a sob. Then, like the floodgates had opened, I couldn’t stop.

I sobbed into the mattress, Hollywood’s body resting over mine, holding me tight as I fell the fuck apart.

“So-sorry,” I got out. “Don’t know why…”

“Because you need to let it out,” he said. “You’ve kept so much inside, Tex. You can let it go with me, okay? You can feel anything you need to feel.”

My tears dried, leaving an aching wound in my chest. And yet, it was a cleaner pain. Like the tears had drained a little poison out of me.

“Sorry. Fuck. That was probably not sexy.”

“You don’t need to be sexy right now.”

I rolled over, not even caring as I sank into the mess I’d made on the sheets. Fuck it. I’d take a shower soon enough. Hollywood knelt over my legs, cock gone soft.

“You didn’t get off,” I complained.

He shrugged a shoulder. “This wasn’t about me.”

I wasn’t sure I liked that. I’d always made Hollywood come—and come fucking hard. I didn’t want that to change.

“Come on,” he said. “Let’s shower.”

He rolled out of the bed, so I followed him to the bathroom. He started the shower, adjusting the temperature, then stepped inside. I joined him, the hot spray washing away the last of my tears.

Hollywood picked up the bodywash from the shelf.

I took it from him. “Let me.”

He nodded, and I poured a dollop into my hands, then spread it over his shoulders. I massaged the soap into suds that ran down the slope of his back and over the curve of his ass.

“I should be taking care of you,” he murmured.

“You did that already.” I reached around him to soap his chest. I let my fingers stray to his nipple, giving it a twist. He arched with a small moan. “My turn now.”

“No, that’s…”

I let my hands wander lower until I found the thickening cock between his thighs. I squeezed and stroked, loving the hardness of him under all that slippery skin.

He bucked into my fist with a groan. “Don’t worry about me.”

“I’m not worried,” I murmured into his ear. “You always come for me, don’t you, darlin’?”

He turned his head, taking my lips in a clumsy kiss that had us both straining into awkward positions. His hot panting breaths were nearly enough to get me hard again. I drank him in, tasting the need on his tongue as he fucked my fist, hips rocking faster.

“That’s it, Hendrix. Give it to me.”

He tore his mouth from mine, crying out as his cock pulsed in my hand. Ropes of white cum streaked the wall of the shower in front of him. I continued to work his cock, wringing every drop I could get out of him.

Hollywood had shattered me in that bed. I’d needed the release, emotionally as well as physically. But this was easier. More comfortable. I was in control again.

We soaped and rinsed off. When we got out, Hollywood turned to me. “Are you really okay?”

“I made you fall apart. That’s always okay with me.”

He cupped my shoulders. “Don’t hide again, Tex. It’s not healthy. What happened with your dad is a big deal.”

My throat tightened, and I averted my gaze. “I know. It was inevitable, though.”

“Because he’s a homophobe?”

“No.” I paused. “Well, yes. But not just that. We haven’t been in a good place for a really long time. Sometimes we pretended, but…” I shook my head. “I don’t want to think about him.”

“Okay.”

“I just worry about what he might be telling my sister. If Chastity writes me off too—” My voice broke.

Hollywood drew me into a hug. “Maybe you should talk to her.”

“Yeah.” I swallowed hard, burying my face into his neck. “What if she hates me?”

“What if she doesn’t?” he asked softly, arms still holding me close, both of us still naked.

There was nothing sexual about the way he held me, though.

It was pure comfort. It reminded me of that first night we’d hooked up, when he’d held me on the couch.

The first time I’d let myself take comfort in another person in years.

I pulled away when our skin began to stick together.

“I should tell her,” I said. “Even if she hates me, I want her to hear it from me. Not…”

Hollywood nodded. “I’ll go with you, if you want.”

It would probably go over better to come out to my sister alone, rather than shove my boyfriend in her face. Then again, Hollywood was so gorgeous, how could she blame me for falling for him?

When it came down to it, I wanted him by my side. Wanted the reminder that if I lost my sister, I wasn’t alone. I still had the love of a really amazing man.

I kissed him. “Yeah, I’d like that.”

We rolled into Hayworth city limits around 1 p.m. Hollywood had called to check on Ruby, and Kelly had offered to keep her until dinnertime. Plenty of time for my sister to disown me.

I drummed my fingers on my steering wheel as I made the turn onto her street.

Her ten-year-old silver Nissan sat in the driveway.

She was home. But then, I knew she would be.

She watched some neighborhood kids on weekdays and picked up a few housekeeping gigs to cover the bills—but never on the weekends.

Those were for quality family time, she always said.

Somehow, I didn’t think she’d intended that to include her brother telling her he was bisexual.

I parked at the curb and killed the engine. I couldn’t bring myself to open the door.

Hollywood squeezed my leg. “I’m here, okay? Just talk to her.”

I nodded. The lump in my throat made it too hard to speak.

“Let her take in the news. She might need time to process. If she’s not ready to hear it today, it doesn’t mean she’ll never be ready.” He hesitated. “That goes for your dad too, you know. He might come around.”

“I don’t know if I want him to.”

“That’s valid too,” Holly said. “Whatever happens, I’m always here for you. I’m in your corner.”

I took a breath and turned to look at him. “Thanks for not giving up on me.”

“Never, Tex. You’re stuck with me.”
