HITMAN
With my best friend Jessica's help, I rented out an entire restaurant and had a table for two set up on the rooftop. I made sure to go all out with candles and roses and had even hired someone to play the guitar. I knew she wasn’t used to this type of shit, and neither was I, but to me, Holly was a different type, a breed that I wasn’t used to or familiar with, and I wanted her to know just how special she was to me.
I would never knowingly put her in harm's way or disrespect her on any level. I can’t control the next person's actions, but I definitely dropped the ball when it came to her and the situation with Fly Si. I couldn’t take the situation back, but I was willing to do whatever was in my power to make things right between us.
Holly walked in, and I couldn’t deny that she looked breathtaking.
She was dressed in an all-black one-piece romper that hugged her curves perfectly.
Her hair was pulled back into a long, tight ponytail that stopped slightly below her ass cheeks, giving her a sexy look.
The Jimmy Choo black stilettos she was rocking gave her a classy and elegant look.
The Tiffany that’s the only way.”
“This is nice and all, but I don’t know Haleem.
A lot is going on, and to be honest, I don’t think I can take another heartbreak.
I’m tired of being stabbed by the people that I love.
” Holly expressed. I took her by the hand and pulled her closer towards me.
She had her head down, so I used my hand to raise her face by her chin.
I looked at the scar she had from the bottle.
“I need you looking at me when I say this because I am only going to say it once: I’m sorry.
For everything that I did, for not being able to get that bitch off of me.
For being weak when it comes to women, I’m sorry for even allowing that bitch to get close enough to me.
Most importantly, I am sorry for everything that you had to endure before me.
I got you covered. I have your front and back, no matter what it may look like at times.
I know that I fucked up, but on everything, that shit wasn’t intentional.
I only want you. In fact, I am praying to be able to do life with you. ” I openly admitted.
“Really?” She asked, looking at me with hopeful eyes.
“On everything that I love.” I gave her my word. “So will you now do me the honors and join me upstairs?”
“Yes, I’d like that.” She answered, causing me to smile. I was hype but of course I needed to control myself. It wasn’t much, but it was a start, and the last thing that I was trying to do was to jinx my ass.
I took Holly by her hand and led her up the spiral staircase that was draped in red roses and clear LED lights.
She smelled amazing, her scent from her body and hair had me weak at the knees, I wanted her right then and there.
I was literally in love with everything about her and was certain she was the woman that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
I wanted her to be not just my lover but my best friend and right hand.
I wanted us to grow and elevate together as a family.
As soon as we made it to the rooftop, we were greeted by our chef and waiter, and the guitarist immediately began to play Missing You by Case, causing her to blush.
“WOW, you really outdid yourself. I can’t believe this.” She said with an approving nod. “This was very sweet and thoughtful of you.”
“You deserve it all, and I want the opportunity to continue showing you your worth.”
As the chef prepared our dinner, Holly and I slowly danced to the guitar music.
She felt amazing in my arms. I had missed her touch so much.
I wrapped my hand around her waist, stopping it above her ass.
She lay her head on my chest as I gently pulled her closer; our bodies met, and I could feel her melt in my arms. I knew that she needed me just as much as I needed her.
I hated fighting and beefing; I felt that we were way better than that.
The song switched to Can’t Take My Eyes Off You By Lauryn Hill, and Holly began to softly sing along.
She had a beautiful voice, and I couldn’t believe this was my first time hearing her really sing.
I found myself lost in the moment as I hung on to every note she hit.
My heart smiled. I was supposed to be the one surprising her and sweeping her off her feet, but somehow, like always, she found a way to amaze me and blow my mind.
We were enjoying each other so much that we had the chef take his time cooking.
It was most definitely a night to remember.
I felt like I was back in middle school at my first dance.
The guitarist played all the good shit; his playlist was top tier.
He did his big one, playing songs that neither Holly nor I had heard in years.
We danced to Wyclef Jean's " Two Wrongs and Santana's " Maria Maria before we finally sat down to eat our food, which consisted of a jerk chicken spinach dip with tortilla chips as an appetizer and a seafood stuffed chicken breast, lobster Mac and cheese, and broccoli as the entree.
The food was amazing, and Holly was smiling the entire night.
When we were done eating, we lay on a pallet on the roof with multicolored pillows and had dessert.
We spent the night talking, laughing, and cuddling until the sun came up.
We made love together right there on the rooftop as the sun rose, with me putting my child in her.
That night marked the beginning of forever together with Holly and me. It was definitely a night to remember.
