Chapter 2
Chapter Two
“That’s the last one, Stevie,” my brother, Haidyn, said.
I flipped him the bird and tossed the shot back, enjoying the way the liquid burned as it slid down my throat, and slammed the shot glass back onto the bar. Haidyn shook his head and leaned down on the end of the bar. “So what are you going to do?”
“I don’t know.”
Haidyn was my brother on my dad’s side, and had been a constant in my life, unlike my father. It was him that I ran to when I was being bullied in school and who I came to when I needed advice.
He’d also never liked Paul and had begged me not to marry the fucker.
“Come to mine tonight. I’ll be at a party anyway, and you can figure shit out.”
“Party, huh?”
“Don’t even think about it,” he said quickly. “You don’t need to involve yourself in my crowd again.”
He was talking about the bikers my dad was involved with, and as an extension, so was Haidyn.
He was a patched member, but didn’t hold an officer role, so he spent most of his time tending bar there when they had party nights.
My dad had turned nomad a while back and spent most of his days going from chapter to chapter, fucking whoever he could and leaving a few days later.
Who knew how many siblings we had now, but we all knew there would be a few.
“What’s a better way to get some revenge on your asshole husband who can’t seem to understand marriage vows than to find some hot biker dick?”
Haidyn rolled his eyes. “I don’t want to think about you riding dick, little sis.”
I shrugged my shoulders. “We all know I do, so no point in denying me some hot revenge sex.”
“Fuck,” he said, running a hand down his face. “There’s no point in arguing with you, is there?”
“Nope!” I replied with a cheeky smirk. “You know I’ll just come anyway, whether you take me or not, but if I walk through the doors with you, then maybe I won’t be hit on by every single guy there.”
“Fuck,” he swore again. “Fine, you can come, but you stay by the bar all fucking night, Stevie, I swear if you move or leave without telling me who with, I’m going to send out an army to find you.”
I rolled my eyes. “You’re the best big brother ever. I do, however, need to change.”
He sighed. “You can raid your own closet. It’s still in my attic.”
I’d almost forgotten.
When I’d married Paul, he’d requested I didn’t wear my old outfits anymore. Truthfully, they were very revealing and exactly how I liked to dress, but for an investment banker’s wife, I understood why I couldn’t exactly wear them around his charity galas.
But now…I could reclaim myself in a way I hadn’t dreamed of.
And I was giddy with excitement.
Fuck you, Paul. You’re going to regret ever thinking you could deserve a woman like me.
