Chapter 3

Chapter Three

The clubhouse was exactly how I remembered it, even down to the old members’ photos on the wall and the bike parts sitting on the wall behind the pool tables. They’d gotten a couple newer model tables for the boys to play at since I was last here.

Eleven years ago, on the eve of my wedding, actually.

That was the last time I was here.

The night I almost didn’t marry Paul.

I closed my eyes and pushed back on the memory so it dissipated and turned back to Haidyn who was busy flirting with one of the club bunnies at the other end of the bar.

I’d stayed here, like a good girl but I was tired of the same old boring men coming up to me to “babysit” me. That was Haidyn’s doing and I knew it.

They were nice enough, and they all remembered my dad, so they treated me with respect, but I was trying to get laid.

I didn’t want to remember what I was like as a young girl running around the clubhouse.

I wanted to find a hot young prospect who had no idea who I was, and let him treat me to a night of unbridled bliss before I dealt with my asshole husband again.

Preferably with some hickeys and marks on me so he knew exactly what I’d been up to.

“Excuse me,” I said to Higgs, mid-conversation through a spiel about his ex-wife. “I need to use the bathroom.”

Higgs nodded and pointed toward the hallway. I knew where it was, but I didn’t want to seem rude. Heading down the hall, I cast looks toward the hot studs on the wall, swaying my hips a little more than I usually did. They all noticed.

That made me smile.

Especially when one had his phone to his ear, and a look on his face that meant pure trouble. I knew him. His name was Toad.

And I also knew who he was loyal to.

No…they weren't here. I would have seen them and kept to my corner if I had. Haidyn would have warned me if they were here.

Surely, I was reading too much into it.

Before I could do anything stupid, I moved out of sight and down the hall, into the women’s bathroom.

The bathroom wasn’t anything to write home about. It was two stalls, in desperate need of some paint, and a long mirror above two sinks. The walls of the only free cubicle were graffitied with slurs about bikers and numbers of bikers if you wanted a good time.

I knew at least two of the names would have written their numbers themselves.

Fucking manwhores.

I smirked at it. Wouldn’t it be priceless if my brother saw me flirting with one of them?

Finishing up, I moved out of the stall only to hear the rhythmic slapping of flesh coming from the other stall followed by the muffled moan of a woman enjoying her time.

I smirked, before I moved to the mirror and washed my hands. Taking a look in the reflection, I looked hot.

My body was a little curvier from back in the old days, thanks to the comfort I’d had with being married, but I filled out my black lace dress better than before. My knee high boots were matching, as was the smoky eyeshadow and bright red lips.

Damn…who knew I still had what it takes?

Chuckling to myself, I opened the door to the bathroom and headed back into the main part of the clubhouse. My eyes instantly moved over to the spot where I’d seen Toad on his phone before, but he was no longer there.

Thank God.

Moving toward the bar, to retake my seat before Haidyn went nuts, I turned when I felt eyes on me. Haidyn’s eyes widened and looked behind me.

That’s when I knew.

Even still, every instinct was telling me to keep walking, to ignore it, but I turned anyway.

There, in the doorway of the clubhouse, stood the two men I had been hoping wouldn’t be here.

And the look on Cody’s face was anything but friendly. Still, my pussy throbbed and my thighs tingled.

Fuck.

The Garrison twins were hotter than ever, and their eyes were on me.

A sly little thought niggled in the back of my mind. Not only did I have history with Cody, and to a lesser extent, his twin Colton, but they also happened to be…Carissa’s brothers.

Who needed revenge on your cheating asshole husband when you could get it on your bully who had been tormenting you for years?
