A scalding stack of chocolate-frosted donuts lands in his lap, his overreaction spreads across every local news outlet, and Evalina will not accept an apology.

Every effort to make amends is answered with slammed doors, frustrated groans, and deeper embarrassment.

Even so, Koa cannot stop thinking about her, or about kissing her until she smiles.
