Chapter 24

Munch and I spent three weeks secluded from everything and everyone. I rescheduled all my clients or referred them to one of my other tattoo artists. My time was dedicated to Munch and her only. I wanted her to heal and not worry about a thing.

We spent the first two weeks on an island where we woke up to the sunrise and had breakfast. We explored the island and ate all kinds of food.

She had to wear sunglasses most of the time because she didn’t want anyone to see her black eyes.

Every time I caught her analyzing her bruises, I wanted to glue Beast’s ass back together and kill him again.

At night, we sat on the beach and talked. Some nights we had dinner on our balcony, then made love. We did things that I never would have imagined, but I knew I would never do any of it with anyone else.

Munch tried to act like what happened to her didn’t affect her, but I knew otherwise.

I found her crying a few times, but she would quickly swipe the tears away.

I assured her she didn’t have to hide with me, but she insisted she was fine, so I left it alone.

As long as she knew she could come to me when or if she needed to, I was okay with that.

We spent our last week at my house. She officially moved in, and we did some decorating since I never did it. I had the basics, but she made my house feel more like a home. There would be no denying that a woman occupied my house. It wasn’t like anyone came over here, anyway, except my mom.

I introduced Munch to my mom, and she loved her.

Her parents were cool, but I felt like they were still a little skeptical of me.

As long as they were respectful and didn’t treat Munch differently, we were good.

I figured they would need a little more time to get to know me and to see that the Vipers weren’t bad people.

“Are you ready for this?” Munch asked as she put her hair in a ball at the top of her head.

“I am. It’s time to get things back in order. The real question is, are you ready?”

It was our first day back at the clubhouse, and I knew everyone would be happy to see her. She hadn’t seen anyone since the day we saved her.

“I am. I’m excited to see everyone. They’ve become like another family to me. I know Carmen and Isis missed me, as well as Tay.” She blushed.

“You really trying to get that man hurt, ain’t you?” I wrapped my hand around her neck and brought her in for a kiss.

She smiled against my lips. “There is no need to be jealous.” She kissed me. “I’m all yours.”

I didn’t know what it was about Tay that had her blushing all the time, but I wasn’t worried about her messing with him. Neither of them would do something like that to me.

“I know you are.” I pecked her lips again. “Let’s get out of here.”

I grabbed her hand, and we left out of the bedroom.

When we made it outside, I helped her on my bike, then we left.

I was excited about the day because I knew I would officially be crowned president, and some people would be moving up in the ranks. It was a change in power, and I felt like the Vipers would only get better now that the bad people were out. I wanted us to do even more in the community.

Word on the street was the remaining Disciples either left town or they started a new club that was completely different. As long as they didn’t bother us, we could all coexist.

When Munch and I arrived at the clubhouse, I helped her off the bike, and we walked inside.

“Surprise!” Everyone shouted when we entered.

The clubhouse was decorated with blue and silver balloons. A banner was on the wall behind the bar. There were food and drinks galore. I didn’t expect any of it, so I was just as surprised as Munch.

Carmen and Isis rushed over to us and hugged me before they squealed and hugged Munch. They grabbed her hands and pulled her away as my brothers came over to me.

“Welcome back, bro,” Tech said as he gave me a quick hug.

“You look refreshed,” Rico said as he hugged me as well.”

Slider, Tay, and Lamont greeted me as well.

“I am.” I glanced across the room and watched Munch for a second while she laughed with the girls.

“You’ve been with her for the last three weeks; she ain’t going anywhere,” Slider teased.

“I know she ain’t. I just want to make sure she’s good. You know that shit was rough for her.”

The whole time we were gone, my brothers and the girls didn’t hesitate to check on us every couple of days.

I shared with them how I thought the shit affected Munch.

They assured me that it was normal and that she would be okay in due time.

The only thing I could do was be there for her in any way that she needed me.

“We know. She’s good now, thanks to you.” Rico patted my back.

“Y’all came through for both of us. If I never told y’all before, I appreciate y’all.”

“Don’t get all mushy and shit on us now,” Slider joked. “Let’s eat this food and have some drinks.”

We all agreed, then walked over where the girls were.

“You ready to eat?” I asked Munch as I snaked my arms around her waist.

Her body melted against mine as I kissed her temple.

“I am.”

I grabbed her hand, then led her over to the food table. We made our plates, and when I went to pour her a glass of wine, she stopped me.

“You not drinking?” I looked down at her with squinted eyes.

“Not alcohol. I’ll just take some juice.”

I rubbed my hand over my chin. She didn’t have to drink, but I noticed she didn’t drink while we were away either.

“Are you hiding something?” I glanced down at her stomach, then back into her eyes.

“Nope.” She grabbed my hand and pulled me to the table so we could sit down.

I had a feeling she was hiding something, but I knew it would come out at some point.

Once everyone had their plates, we sat at the table and ate and caught up with each other.

Drizzle was there, and she spoke to Munch and me, but she kept her distance.

From what I was told, she had been holding the bar down, and she’d calm down on trying to fuck every dick that walked through the door.

I was glad to hear it, at least for the bar.

I didn’t care what she did with her pussy.

I wanted Munch to not work as much anyway, so it was good that Drizzle held things down.

After everyone had finished eating, Tech stood at the head of the table.

“May I have everyone’s attention please?”

It took a few minutes for everyone to quiet down, but eventually, they did.

“Thank you. As you all know, some shit happened a few weeks ago, and we lost our president. We aren’t mourning him, because he was a piece of shit for what he did to Animal, Slim, and Raina.

With that being said, we have to appoint a new president.

While you were gone, Kane, we took a vote, and it’s unanimous that you are our official president. ”

Everyone clapped as Tech handed me a new patch with president on it.

I stood and shook his hand. “Thank you. With that being said, we need a new vice president. This decision wasn’t easy, but I knew a certain person wouldn’t even want it.

” I cut my eyes at Rico. He had made it clear on many occasions that he was fine being road captain and didn’t want any more responsibilities.

“So, the new vice president of the Vipers is . . . Slider.”

The whole room clapped and cheered while Slider looked surprised.

“What?” he asked as he stood.

“Yeah, it’s only right. Tech likes his position, and there is no sense in changing it. You have had my back since you’ve been here, and my lady likes you.” I chuckled.

“Man, I don’t know what to say.”

I handed him the new patch I had made for him, and he gave me a brotherly hug.

“I didn’t think I would stay here as long as I did, but I can’t see myself anywhere else. I’m honored by this privilege.”

Everyone saluted him.

“Since Slider will no longer be the tail gunner, we need a new one. Tay, if you are interested, the position is yours.”

“Hell yeah,” he said as he stood from his chair.

“Congratulations, but make sure you stay away from my lady,” I teased as I passed him his new patch.

“That’s my girl,” he said and winked at Munch.

As usual, she blushed before she blew me a kiss.

“Don’t make me fuck you up.” I playfully punched him.

Everyone laughed, then Carmen stood up.

“Congratulations, guys. We have one more patch to give away.”

I had no idea what they had planned, because everyone’s position was filled.

“Raina, or should I say Munch.” Carmen smiled.

“As a collective, we want to officially welcome you to the Vipers.” She reached down and pulled a blue vest out of a bag.

“As the first lady of the Vipers, we’d like to present you with this.

” She held the vest up, and the back of it read, “property of the president,” and at the bottom, it said Munch.

I had no idea they had planned that, but I was thankful that they accepted her with open arms.

I helped Munch from her seat, and she walked over to Carmen.

She took the vest from her hands, then hugged her.

“Thank you, Carmen.” She turned and looked at everyone. “Thank you all for accepting me.” She looked at me and winked. “I’m honored to be first lady.” She put the vest on, and everyone cheered as she walked over to me.

“Can you believe it?” She turned to show me the back of her vest. “First lady.” She turned back to face me.

“I can believe it. How do you feel?” I put my hands on her hips and pulled her close.

My heart thudded in my chest when she looked up at me.

“I feel great. I never expected all of this, but I’m happy. Happy with the club and happy with you.” She stood on her tiptoes and kissed me.

“Good. Now we just need you to master riding a bike and getting you one. I need my first lady by my side at all times.”

We’d practiced a little more on my bike, but she hadn’t mastered it yet.

“I like being on the back.”

“And I like hitting it from the back.” I grabbed her ass, causing her to giggle. I kissed her giggles away and slipped my tongue in her mouth. I felt my dick stir, so I pulled back. “Seriously, though, I’m happy to have you as my first lady.”

“And I’m honored to be it.”

We shared another quick kiss, then we went to mingle with everyone. I looked around the room and appreciated every one of them.

We were a family, and I couldn’t wait to expand it more with Munch one day.
