S’Mores Puppy Chow
This is the kind of deliciousness that you make for your girlfriends at Christmas—the ones you really like. It’s the kind that you know can help you turn a bad day into a less bad day, but with chocolate, peanut butter, and marshmallowiness decadence, that is this snack.
INGREDIENTS:
⒈/⒉ cup creamy peanut butter
⒈/⒋ cup unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups Rice Chex cereal
6 cups Golden Grahams
1 ⒈/⒉ cups powdered sugar
1 cup mini marshmallows
DIRECTIONS:
In a microwavable bowl, place the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir and heat for another 30 seconds or until the mixture is smooth when stirred. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the Rice Chex and 3 cups of the Golden Grahams into a large bowl.
Add the chocolate peanut butter mixture and gently stir until evenly coated.
Pour all the coated cereal into a large Ziplock bag and add the powdered sugar.
Shake the bag until the cereal is well-coated.
Spread out on parchment paper and let cool so the chocolate mixture sets.
Once set, toss in marshmallows and remaining Golden Graham cereal and serve.
NOTES:
I may have been out of butter once, so I added some additional marshmallows to melt with the chocolate into the mix, and it worked just as well. I’ve also used dark chocolate chips and I mean, it was obviously still yummy and oh so sinfully bad for you, but worth it.
