I wake up feeling so doped up, it’s like I’m in quicksand.

Every movement is sluggish; I try to move, but the sharp pain in my leg has me biting down on my lip to stop me screaming.

Something, or someone shifts, making me want to open my eyes, but that seems like a lost cause when they refuse to cooperate.

“Maddox, can you hear me?” a male voice I don’t recognise asks.

I swallow all the sand in the Sahara and attempt to lick my equally dry lips. “Yeah.” It’s all I can manage.

Footsteps approach, making me force my eyes open. “Ollie?”

“Sorry, mate, I wish it was. He’s here, not too far away.” Drake comes into blurry view.

Another person steps into my line of vision. “Oh, fucking hell,” I groan. “Did you really have to call him?”

Pilkington gives me a wry smile. “Always so pleased to see me.” His perfect English accent grates as it always did. I shouldn’t dislike him; he’s the one who has given me this life. What worries me is it’s now been blown wide open. I’m no longer dead.

“I’m sorry. What’s going on? I’m guessing you want me to go into hiding again. I’ll save you from saying it. The answer is no; I’m not doing that.”

“I’m not offering you anything of the sort. I’m only here to see that you’re okay as well as bring you up to date. Your assailant has been dealt with; we couldn’t let the police handle it. Drake, here, did the right thing by calling me. He’s been contained again.”

“Who’s to say he won’t tell all and sundry?”

It’s Drake’s turn to let out a dry chuckle. “There’s no chance of that, not where he is. You can relax and live your life.”

“Now, I understand why Knox finds you the most frustrating brother. You talk in riddles. But you’ve had my back, and I’m grateful for that.

” I look at Pilkington and wonder if his partner, wife, husband, whatever knows his first name.

“Thanks for coming, and for whatever it is you’ve done to help keep me safe. ”

“You’re very welcome. Enjoy your new career with Drake, and please no more fighting on YouTube.”

“I think this,” I point down to my leg. “Has put that side of me well and truly locked away for good.”

With a small, tight smile, Pilkington leaves the room. Drake says he’ll see me later and leaves along with his old boss.

Ollie comes rushing in. “Whoa, that guy is creepy, like that Demon Headmaster kids program. Or worse, one of The Gentlemen from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” He shudders theatrically, making me smile for the first time.

“Kiss me, please.” I tell him, and he complies enthusiastically.

Progress on my leg is slow, but I’m improving. The physio is painful but with Knox following the therapist’s program to the letter, I’m making good progress.

As I grunt my way through the last set of reps, Roman comes happily jogging up to me and kisses me. “Are you nearly done, because it’s soup night at your dads. Saint and Noah will’ve finished it all if we’re late.”

And yes, soup night is a special event. Apparently, it used to be just two types of homemade soup, but with all of us having partners now, Pops makes three, all served in huge vats with a ton of homemade bread and loads of extra toppings to add if you want.

“What’s Pop’s made this time?”

“You know he won’t say. I don’t think you’ve got time to go home first. Have you got clean clothes?” His hands are on his hips, and if I’ve learnt anything about Roman, it’s that he has no patience and hates being late for anything.

I laugh and wrap my arm around his shoulders.

I love how he says home. It’s such a simple word, but it means everything.

Especially as we now all live together in my house.

It was a unanimous decision; there just wasn’t enough space for two couples, especially ones that liked to all be in the same bed sometimes.

We have separate rooms for the nights we want to be individual couples. I let Ollie and Roman choose everything we need to furnish it the right way. We have our playroom in the basement, and we are more than happy to play together.

“I have clothes, so let me go and get cleaned up. You can amuse Knox while you wait for me; is Ollie meeting us there?”

Roman is nodding. “Yes, he’s getting a lift with Saint and Noah.”

I shower quickly and let out a low whistle when I walk into the office. Roman is nowhere to be seen, but by the blissed out look on Knox’s face, I know exactly where he is, and what he’s doing.

“That looks fun,” I say and go around the desk to see Knox’s cock in Roman’s mouth, his balls in his sub’s hand. I doubt it will be long until Knox is coming.

“You want it too?” Knox puts his hand through Roe’s curls. “I think he’d like two loads before we have to leave for dinner.”

The boy obviously agrees if the humming sound can be believed. He strokes and sucks the large piece of meat, bringing Knox to a climax that has him biting on his lip to not cry out. As he pulls out, he shifts to the side so Roman can get to me.

“Christ, this boy is so fucking good at this.” I look down. “Choke on me, babe.” It never takes me long after being in his or Ollie’s throats, and tonight is no different. I shudder silently through my release, panting quietly as he licks me clean.

We make it to the house at the same time as Saint and Noah.

Ollie jumps out as soon as the truck stops, then puts the brakes on and scowls as he looks at Roman’s mouth.

“It’s not fair; I had to work, and you’ve sucked Knox’s dick.

” He looks at me, smirking, but not saying a word.

He stamps his foot, actually stamps his foot. “He sucked you too.”

“You can have us both when we get home,” I tell him and pull him close. “I’ve missed you.”

“I missed you too. I’ve had enough of working at the pub, the shifts make me miss so much time with you all,” Ollie grumbles. He’s talked about this before, but he hasn’t come up with any other options. I’ll make more time to investigate other ideas.

“We can have a think about it when we’re home, and as for Roman, it was a surprise for both Knox and me.”

The delicious smell of fresh bread and happy chatter of family fills the hallway as we step inside.

As usual, someone has to announce that the favourite brother has arrived.

Apparently, it’s Saint’s turn, and the jeers of disapproval, and ‘Fuck off’ come back to us.

I still struggle with how perfect this mishmash family is and how it could’ve been me calling out.

Drake and Finn are sitting at the far corner of the large table, Memphis and Royal opposite them. The latter two looking very pleased with themselves. Kip and Robin are filling soup terrines and large bread baskets, but both stop to hug each of us. “Hello, boys. Grab a seat.”

We sit down and listen to the types of soup.

Tonight, it’s baked potato soup, a new one Robin found on the internet, along with chilli beef, and lastly, a curried parsnip.

All greeted with cheers of approval. As usual, the conversation moves to our various jobs; Roman now runs the offices for both Finn and Memphis, and Drake and is loving it and is being paid well for both of them.

“We’re snowed under,” Memphis says. “I’m never going to turn work down, but it is encroaching on home life. We’re putting the feelers out for someone to join us.”

“I could help,” Ollie says shyly. “I did graphic design at college. I’ve got a degree but never found a position, that’s why I’m at the pub.”

“I thought you liked the pub,” Drake asks, sounding interested.

“Ollie was just telling me how he’s had enough there. He’d be a great addition.” I clasp my boy’s hand, and he smiles at me. His cheeks pink at my praise.

Finn nods. “Why don’t you come in and see what we have going on, and you can show us some of your work. I like the idea of keeping it all in the family.”

Memphis speaks. “I think it’s a fantastic idea, the subs outnumber the Doms.”

Knox takes over with talk of the gym, Kip paying the most attention to this update. So other conversations start up again.

Robin pushes away from the table and begins to stack plates and bowls. We all move to help, and it takes me a moment to actually pay attention to what Royal has just said.

“What?” Robin asks, the plates rattling in his hand hard enough to have Knox take them from him. “What did you just say?”

“Memphis and I got married,” he replies, a cocky grin sweeping over his face. “We did it last week when we went away.”

“I told him we can’t just elope. This is all on him,” Memphis says, sounding apologetic but also filled with happiness.

Shouts of outrage and congratulations fill the room. Robin is the most upset, but Memphis appeases him by asking him to organise a party.

It’s late by the time we get home, yet we’re all still hyped up on the news of Royal and Memphis sneaking away to get married. The more important event is Ollie being given a chance to work with Memphis and Finn.

“I can’t believe I didn’t know that about you, Ollie. Why didn’t you say anything?” Roman asks as we walk into our bedroom.

“I didn’t think about it. I finished college a few years ago, so I’m probably not up to the standard they need. But I like them and I think, if I’m not right for them, they will still be my friends.”

Knox frowns at Ollie. “Please don’t put yourself down like that. You’re going to fit in perfectly with them, and I know they will bring you up to speed in no time.”

I look at the three men I love with all my heart. “I think we need to show our boy just how amazing he is and how proud we are of him.”

“Get naked.”
