AFTERGLOW #2
He’s overdoing it, and I don’t have to see my brother’s face to know Marcus’s tone is giving us away.
“Can’t say that I have. Maybe they ran off with someone after the trick-or-treat event,” he drones out unconvincingly, while I bury my face in between his shoulder blades and chuckle silently.
The arm he’d been using to shoo me away with before hooks around me and pulls me in tighter, and something deep in my chest purrs with contentment.
“The trick-or-treat event that the four of us came home from together?” Qi asks skeptically, and I can tell he knows.
Marcus is such a terrible liar that there’s no way Qi wouldn’t have seen straight through him.
Marcus clears his throat, but Qi interrupts him before he can say anything.
“I just ask because whoever it is that’s standing behind you is wearing an anklet identical to the one I handmade for Qiang a couple of years ago.”
“Um… well that’s just… er…” and I can’t help the chuckle that escapes me at that.
I lightly push Marcus aside just enough to poke my head out and meet my brother’s amused face.
Qi’s eyes meet mine, and he starts laughing as Marcus hangs his head.
“You’re a terrible liar, Marcus.”
Marcus sighs with relief that I’m not freaking out at our not-so-secret interlude being uncovered so quickly. Not like I really had any intention of hiding it anyway.
“Of all the faults I have, I think I’ll own that one,” Marcus mutters under his breath.
Qi just smiles. “It’s okay, Tristan is a terrible liar too.”
“I resemble that remark,” Tristan hollers from somewhere downstairs, which just cracks Qi and me up more while Marcus rolls his eyes at Tristan’s completely unashamed ownership of being a terrible liar.
Qi gives me what he thinks is a stern look. “Qiang, don’t make him late.”
I roll my eyes at that. “I won’t make you all late for your damned foosball. Just let us take a quick shower, and we’ll be down. Just give us twenty–”
“Forty-five minutes, Qi,” Marcus interrupts shamelessly. “And we’ll be down,” he promises.
Qi’s eyes flit between the two of us before his mouth tilts in a mischievous smile, letting me know he’s about to say something inappropriate.
“Are you going to defile my sibling?” he asks, and if he weren’t the center of my gravity, I might entertain the wish of having strangled him at birth.
“I’m going to damn sure try, but you're cutting into my time here, bro,” Marcus says just as shamelessly, and I realize between the two of them, I’m really and truly cursed.
Maybe Tristan and I can go halfsies on a quiet cabin to run and escape to when these two get to be too much.
Qi snorts at that before Marcus closes the door and gives me a fake put-upon face.
“I was trying to be discreet, and you blew our cover.”
I raise an eyebrow. “Did you really mind them knowing?”
Marcus rolls his eyes and snorts out a laugh. “Fuck no. I’d put a neon sign on your head letting everyone know you're mine if I weren’t so scared of your feral kitten claws.”
“Marcus–” I hiss at him, somehow knowing this is going to be a thing now, and really hating that I can’t find it in me to hate it as much as I should.
“No,” Marcus says with a light slap on my ass.
“No sass, pretty. Shower, we’re out of time,” he says before striding confidently into his shower as if he just knows that I’ll follow.
And if I do exactly what he expects me to do, it’s only because I was tripped up on how fucking much I love it when he calls me pretty.
“For the record, sans the neon sign because it does horrid things to my skin tone, I don’t care who knows about us, Marcus.
I have no desire to hide that you’re mine now.
And it doesn’t take forty-five minutes to take a quick shower and get dressed,” I add in, steering the conversation away from the sentimentality now that I’ve said what I needed to on the subject.
This way, he knows he doesn’t have to walk on a tightrope around me and what we are.
Marcus just grins at me. “Good, because I don’t think this smile is going anywhere anytime soon, and apparently, I’m terrible at lying. And I was allotting time to make you filthy before the shower and trying to preserve some for after so you had time to do your makeup before we left.”
The thought in his statement floors me for a moment.
I’m used to people trying to rush me or convince me I don’t need makeup.
I don’t think anyone has ever gone out of their way to make space for a routine that is so obviously important to me.
It’s not about whether he thinks I need it; it’s about knowing I never leave the house without it, and he’s going out of his way to make time for me to do it.
Not that it’s necessary this time, since I was planning to do it in the car, but the thought behind it almost brings me to tears.
I turn away and pull my sleep shorts off, using the action as a way to button up the ridiculous amount of emotion that curled through me at that simple thought.
“I’m going to do my makeup in the car on the way over,” I tell him as I fold my shorts and set them on the counter.
Marcus unceremoniously drops his shorts with his back to me, his perfect fucking ass just right there to tease me.
“Good, we’ve added to the shower orgasm time,” he says, bending down to grab his shorts so he can toss them in the laundry basket next to him.
“You’re incorrigible,” I almost choke on the desert he just turned my mouth into because fuck me his ass is the most amazingly divine thing I’ve ever seen in my life, and it’s all fucking mine now.
“I’m not even a little ashamed to inform you my dick has been weeping for you for months, and now that it’s got a glimpse of what you really feel like, it’s not gonna give either of us a break for a while,” he says.
“I would really love to tease you about that, but my dick is of the same mind,” I breathe out, barely following the conversation anymore while images of all the things I could do to an ass like that flit through my head.
His is probably the most gorgeous work of art I’ve ever wanted to defile in my life. I wonder if he’d let me. I mean, I’m pretty sure he would, but I wonder if he’d be into it.
“I can see that,” he says, his voice breaking through my thoughts.
My eyes flutter up to meet his in the mirror, and I know he just caught me ogling him like the feral cat he always accuses me of being, in heat. I can’t even be ashamed with how obviously elated, and into my open appreciation, he is.
“And?” I cock my eyebrow at him, not even caring that he caught me staring so brazenly at his perfectly toned ass.
Like a dog with a bone, the fucker gives his ass a little shake at the attention.
“Like what you see?” he teases with that cocky grin of his.
“Have I ever said I didn’t?” The eyeroll is heavy enough in my tone that I don't have to strain my eyes by actually giving one.
Marcus’s grin only grows as he turns and starts stalking me like a predatory cat, his heavy cock already fully erect and pointing right at me.
“What little fantasies are playing in your pretty head?” he drawls out while moving towards me, my eyes fixated on the way his body flexes and his cock sways with each step.
“You want to grab it? Bite it? Fuck it?” he purrs in a way that has me hyperaware of every cell in my body.
“What if I said all the above?” I rasp out, as he lays bare all the fantasies that had already been playing in my mind.
His hands land on the bathroom counter on either side of me at the same time as my lower back collides with it. I didn’t even realize I’d been moving—his cocky smile wavers just for a second, and something vulnerable flits across his face.
“Full transparency–I’ve never bottomed. Abstractly, I’m into the idea, but in reality, it never really felt like the mood was right.
But with you, everything is just different.
It’s more, you know. It’s not just sex anymore; it’s sex with you, and I want it all.
I want inside you, I want you inside me.
I don’t just want to try everything with you; I want to experience it, to truly know what it feels like so well that it doesn’t just fall into the hazy cracks of long-forgotten memories, but stays tucked into the forefront of my mind all the time. ”
I don’t think I’ll ever understand what I did that gives him the courage to lay himself so completely bare at my feet as he does.
There are no barriers when he just puts everything out there with so much raw emotion.
I don’t know how to handle it. It feels like I’m always at that point of being overwhelmed with how much I feel for him, and how much he feels for me, that I’m always afraid I’ll tumble over and won’t come back from it.
Like holding back tears because I know once I start, I won’t be able to stop.
“Full transparency–I’m into all of what you just said, but you’re waxing sex poetry when all we have time for is a quick handy in the shower at best.”
Marcus laughs and looks down at me with a glint in his eyes. It’s a beat too late that I realize what the glint is when I go from standing in front of him to being hoisted up on the bathroom counter with my legs wrapped around his waist, and his hard cock thrust against mine.
My head falls back at the sudden decadent sensation when his deep voice rumbles in my ear.
“You underestimate my superpowers,” he murmurs before placing several kisses down my neck.
“We are not testing your powers while my brother is downstairs waiting for us,” I point out.
Marcus chuckles against my neck before pulling back enough to look me in the eyes.
“It’s not like he doesn’t already know what we’re doing.”
“You aren’t the one who has a three-hour car ride with him.”
“Fair enough, but I promise I can make you come, shower, and be downstairs with time to spare,” he purrs before leaning in and kissing me.
