Chapter 9
A Plan is Made
Jake
Remember when I told you that Benji made a play for Dani in Biology class?
Rumor has it that Jake waited outside and escorted her to their Lit class.
I'm not one to be a shit stirrer, but he may or may not have been staring Benji down the whole way there.
Does his jealousy mean he's finally ready for a relationship?
But wait...I thought Jake didn't do those.
I groan as I shut my alarm off. Why did it have to go off at that exact second?
I was having the best wet dream about Georgia and those hips.
I don't know what it is about her. The more I get to know her, the more I want to be with her.
I fell back asleep after I texted her a sweet message.
Who the hell am I? I don't recognize myself.
Georgia's the drug, and I'm addicted. I can't let whatever this is ruin football, though.
I just can't. Football comes first. She'll have to understand that, or I'll have to go to rehab.
She should probably start staying with me Monday-Thursday.
Her Biology class is closer to our house than her dorm room anyways.
Our British Lit class starts at 10:15, and that is closer to our place, too.
It's a win-win. The guys won't mind. They adore her. Hell, I adore her even though that thought makes me want to throw up. I’m acting like a damn girl!
Who knew I had feelings? I don't know if I like that.
I hear my phone buzz and I smile. I wonder if it's my Sweet Cheeks texting me back. I’m disappointed to see its just Jaxon.
Hey man, Asshat made Georgia upset in Bio! I almost beat his ass!! #motherfucker
Wtf? I jump up and quickly get in the shower.
I know Georgia is safe with Jaxon, but my heart is pounding.
I thought he learned his lesson on Saturday night when I told him that he better leave her alone.
When he refused, we fought. I won't back down.
The war between us goes back to last season, and he can't fight for shit.
I don't know why he likes to cause so much trouble.
If he had just walked away, I wouldn't have had to give him that black eye.
He's a dumbass. The fight at the party wasn't even the second time that I've kicked his ass.
Their Biology class won't get over for another thirty minutes, but I still rush to get there.
I don't like thinking about Georgia being upset.
I hope Jaxon is wrong, and it was just her nerves about her first-class or something.
Hopefully, I won't have to kick his ass again today.
I don't know where this fierce need to protect her comes from, but there's no denying the feeling.
I'd fight a hundred men and win for her.
I get pissed off all over again. That asshat is nothing but trouble.
Benji has caused my crew nothing but headaches since he first arrived late last semester.
I'll never forget what he did to me. It almost ruined my career.
Had Coach not taken me at my word, I don't know what I would’ve done.
I'd probably be slinging burgers at a fast food joint right now.
My old man would have kicked me out of the house, that's for sure.
I can't prove that the pot Coach found in my locker was put there by Benji, but I know deep down in my gut that it was that asshole.
My gut never lies. It's how I'm so good at football.
Since the day the shit hit the fan, the boys and I have worked out a system.
One of us always stays behind until after he leaves the locker room.
I'd hate to see what he would do next if we didn't. We also try to always keep an eye on him.
His roommate tells us when he leaves and then when he comes home.
He wants my spot on the team. That ain't happening.
He will have to kill me first. This is my only shot at making it into the NFL, I can't waste any time.
I got in some pretty serious trouble after the locker incident, but it could have been worse.
I'm still on probation, which ends in a couple of weeks.
I can't stop the smile that the knowledge of that brings.
Freedom can't come fast enough. I don't smoke pot, and I sure as hell wouldn't try to sell it!
I've got too much riding on my scholarship.
I suspect Benji might be selling drugs on campus, though, and I've been steadily devising a plan to prove his extracurricular activities.
I'm not usually a snitch, but he tried to take what's rightfully mine.
Before the locker room incident, I would have looked away if I saw him doing something wrong.
My philosophy in life has always been, not my business if it isn't about me and mine!
Asshat made it my business when he did what he did.
Now he's trying to mess with Georgia. Benji has messed with the wrong one and we're going to take him down.
No jerk-off will ever get the best of The Jake Ryan.
I pace back and forth under the tree near the Science building.
I have to reign in my temper before he comes out of that class.
It's one thing to get in a fight at a party.
But to get into a fight the first day of summer classes, I'd be in deep shit. Coach would kick my ass. The doors fly open, and my stare intensifies until I see my girl. I start walking instantly toward her. It’s like an invisible current is dragging me closer to her side.
She looks beautiful today. That face. Those eyes.
Those breasts. Those hips. That ass. Yes, all the above, please.
I better calm the hell down. I can't have a boner right here in broad daylight. I laugh to myself when I think about what The Fearless Insta headline would be.
Longhorn Star Quarterback Caught Stalking Buxom Beauty: Boner For Days!
I get to her and give her a quick hug. I’ll give her a better one later in private.
I want to do lots of other things later in private.
I can’t wait to taste her. Calm down, Jake.
I take her book bag and hoist it over my shoulder and I see Jaxon giggle a little.
He thinks I'm whipped, but it's just called being a gentleman.
I can't help it. It's just how my mama raised me.
I interrogate her about Benji and growl as I see his ugly preppy asshat self!
I can't believe he had the balls to sit by her.
No, he's not a terrible person, just a drug dealer/drug planting jackass.
I'm going to punch his other damn eye. Why does he care if she thinks he's a good guy or a bad guy?
My heart beats a little faster when she tells me she told him that regardless, she was on my side.
I want to kiss her until she's senseless right now but I don't know if she's ready for that yet.
I'll wait until she is, though. She'll be worth it even if I die a slow death due to blue balls.
She won't ever be ready for anything if she doesn't get to know me better.
I'm going to have to talk her into staying with me tonight.
I wait until we walk into Lit before I broach the topic.
"How about you stay at our house tonight.
That way, we can both sleep in a little later.
Plus, our house is closer to this class anyway. That's just simple geography, Georgia."
I glance over, hoping I appear nonchalant.
I've never had a girl stay at my place before.
I try not to read anything into why I want her to stay.
She smiles. "Maybe. Although, I'd hate to argue with simple geography.
I'll talk it over with Sasha. I need to find out what she's doing.
She's got physics this morning so I'll text her after. "
I'm disappointed, but I nod and give her my most dazzling smile.
I've heard my smile can make panties drop.
She smiles brightly but otherwise seems unaffected.
I don't see her panties on the ground and I want to claim her so bad.
I want to show her she's mine. Freaking relax, you fiend. I’m on a roll today.
I make a mental note to get in good with her roommate. They seem to have formed a strong bond already. I need her to like me, as that will equal more sleepovers. I can't really remember what she looks like. I think she has long black hair.
This class is a smaller one. Probably only seats about 75 students.
We've still got a few minutes before the professor makes her way into the classroom.
I pull Georgia into me and softly whisper into her ear, making goosebumps appear up on her flushed skin.
"If you stay over tonight, I'll cook for you.
Believe it or not, I'm very good at it."
She moves closer. I don't think she even noticed what she just did.
She might seem unaffected, but she's not.
I smile to myself. Victory will come sooner than later.
What kind of spell does this girl have on me?
I don't do relationships, so what the hell are we doing?
She runs her hand through her hair, and her scent surrounds me.
The smell is alluring and sweet. "You cook? Box or homemade?"
"Homemade baby!" I waggle my eyebrows, and she laughs. I'm borderline offended. Ain't no way The Jake Ryan would try to seduce a girl with food out of a box.
"I just might have to take you up on that." Her face lights up as Dallas and Sasha walk into the room. I thought she had physics. No time like the present to let her see that I'm a good guy who needs a sleepover with her new best friend.
"Hey, you two. We didn't know you had this class."
Sasha smiles. I was right. She has black hair. I do pay attention sometimes. "Yeah, I decided to drop Physics at the last minute. I want to have an easier summer before I dig all in for the Fall."
Sounds reasonable. "Well, I want to invite you two ladies over tonight for dinner. I need to show this ridiculously beautiful lady that I can cook."
Sasha laughs, and Georgia giggles. Her giggles are even cute. Sasha speaks first. "She is very beautiful. I will accept on both of our behalf."
I don't even know if we have food in the house.
Just in case we don't, I text Hector a grocery list. He's on kitchen duty this week.
I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm about to knock her socks off, and maybe I'll get the sleepover I've been waiting for so patiently.
Perhaps I'll get that first kiss that I've been patiently waiting for, too.
