{Third person's pov}

Kiara and Ekansh were watching a movie when the door bell rang, Kiara looked at Ekansh not having an idea who it could be.

They both walked downstairs and Ekansh walked towards the main door, He opened the door just to witness his father and step mother.

"Oh son! I knew you must be here. Why did you leave without any notice or anything?" His father asked and he stayed silent.

"Kiara you didn't inform us either," his step mother raised an eyebrow, Kiara walked towards them and touched their feet before standing next to Ekansh.

"Won't you let us in?" His step mother asked and Ekansh stepped aside letting them in.

"You guys have totally redecorated this house," his father whispered. "What about your mother's room?" He raised an eyebrow knowing well that It will hurt Ekansh.

Ekansh clenched his jaw, the mention of his late mother's room stirring up a well of emotions within him. He took a deep breath, steeling himself before responding. "Her room is...intact," he said, his voice low and laced with a hint of pain.

His stepmother, aware of the sensitivity of the topic, chuckled.

"What are you guys here for?" Ekansh asked, "We are here to invite you, we are throwing a party."

Ekansh and Kiara frowned, "What kind of part?" Kiara asked, "Oh I made Chitransh the CEO of my office." Kiara frowned and looked at Ekansh who was unaffected.

...........

After his Father and step mother left Kiara looked at him, "Weren't you the CEO?"

Ekansh chuckled, "I still am," he replied making her more confused.

"Dear wife, you really think this man will ever make me CEO of his company. His company is not as big as mine. My company was initially owned by my maternal grandfather who had no son so he passed it to my mother and my mother passed it to me."

Kiara sighed in relief, "I thought he took your company or something."

Ekansh wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him. "No, nothing like that."

He let out a small chuckle, his fingers tracing circles on her back. "That old man is probably just jealous. He always loved Chitransh."

"He is your father Ekansh." She shook her head, Ekansh sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I know... but sometimes he can be so difficult to deal with."

He leaned against the wall, his gaze fixed on the ground. "It's like, no matter what I do, he always finds something to criticize. It's exhausting."

Kiara Chuckled, "Let it be, so are we going to the party?" She raised an eyebrow.

Ekansh groaned, rolling his eyes at the thought of the party. "Ugh, do we have to? You know how I hate those fancy events. All the pretentious small talk and fake smiles."

"Mr. Ekansh shekhawat are you forgetting you are a well known businessman?" She asked, coiling her hands around his neck.

Ekansh wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. "Yes, I am well aware of my status... but that doesn't mean I have to enjoy these events."

He looked into her eyes, a mix of amusement and affection in his gaze. "Especially when I'd rather be here with you, spending time alone."

She rolled her eyes, "So we are going." Ekansh chuckled, shaking his head reluctantly. "Fine, fine. We'll go."

He leaned in closer, his lips hovering near her ear. "I love you, Wifey." Kiara smiled, "I love you more, husband."

Ekansh's expression softened, his gaze filled with affection. "Not a competition, my love."

He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "We'll endure the party together, then we can come back here and enjoy the night in each other's arms."

...........

Kiara came out of the shower, wrapped in a towel. Why? Because she forgot to take her undergarments inside, Ekansh was not in the room when she came out, so she walked towards the wardrobe and looked for her undergarments.

As she searches for her undergarments, she doesn't notice Ekansh leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, watching her with a heated gaze. When she bends over to check a lower drawer, he pushes off the frame and moves behind her silently. "Looking for these?"

"What the hell? When did you come?" She raised an eyebrow, clutching her towel.

He holds up her undergarments, a smirk playing on his lips. He steps closer, his bare chest almost touching her back. "I've been here for a minute, enjoying the view." He lets the undergarments drop to the floor intentionally. "You know what I realized?"

"What?" She asked, He leans down, his breath warm against her ear. "You forgot to take these inside the bathroom. And now, I have a perfect excuse to keep you from wearing them." He hooks his fingers into the top of her towel, slowly pulling it open.

"Stop, we have to go to your father's house. We will get late." She tried removing his hand.

He pauses, his fingers still hooked in her towel, but he doesn't pull it away completely. Instead, he leans in and presses a soft kiss to her neck, teasing her with his proximity. "You know what happens when we're late?" He asks, his voice low and seductive.

"What?" She raised an eyebrow, His lips curve into a smirk. "My dad doesn't care, the guests judge, and I have to deal with a bunch of boring people all night." He pulls back slightly, his eyes meeting hers in the mirror. "But if we're late because I'm busy undressing my wife..."

"Then?" She asked trying to divert his mind and then remove his hands.

He catches her wrists playfully, pulling her back against his chest. "Then everyone will know exactly why we're late." He nips gently at her earlobe, making her shiver. "Now stop fighting."

"Do you have multiple personalities?" She asked as she turned in his hold to face him.

He laughs, his arms wrapping around her waist possessively. "Only when it comes to getting you to do what I want." He nuzzles his face against hers, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You make me lose my patience, my dear wife."

"No seriously, sometimes you are the bold Ekansh Shekhawat, sometimes you are a workaholic, sometimes a clingy man, sometimes a caring husband who pampers me and sometimes a monster and I become your prey." She complaint.

He chuckles softly, his thumbs gently rubbing her sides. "Well, that's because you bring out different sides of me, Kiara." He presses a soft kiss to her forehead. "You make me want to be all those things at once. Maybe I'm just a complex man with many layers."
