Kiara woke up in the morning just to find him getting ready for the office, "don't go," she whispered.

Ekansh turned towards her, a mixture of surprise and warmth in his eyes. He walked over to the bed and sat down next to her, gently reaching out to brush a strand of hair away from her face.

He smiled softly, his voice filled with affection. "I have to go, darling. But I'll be back soon." He leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Try to rest, okay?"

She shook her head and hugged his torso, "Please, I am scared."

Ekansh's expression softened at her words, and his initial hesitation dissolved. He wrapped his arms gently around her, his touch a comforting embrace.

"I'll stay," he assured her in a hushed voice, his hand tenderly stroking her hair. "I won't leave you alone, I promise."

She nodded and stayed like that, she felt safe in his arms.

He held her close for a few moments longer, his hand continuing to gently comb through her hair. He could feel her body relaxing in his arms, the tension draining away from her muscles.

Finally, he pulled back, just enough to look into her eyes. There was a hint of determination in his gaze, his protectiveness towards her clear. "I'll cancel my meetings," he stated, his voice firm. "I can't leave you like this."

She smiled and got up, "Can we cuddle?" He chuckled softly at her request, his arms still holding her close. "Of course we can," he replied, his voice warm and affectionate. "In fact, I'd be more than happy to spend the day cuddling with you."

He gently shifted their positions, pulling her down onto the bed with him. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her against his chest, their bodies fitting together perfectly like puzzle pieces.

He nuzzled his face into her hair, taking in her scent. "We can stay like this for as long as you want." He murmured, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her back.

She stayed silent, listening to his heartbeat, "Ekansh." He could feel her breath against his chest as she spoke his name, the sound of his heartbeat, a steady rhythm. "Yes, darling? What is it?" he responded, his tone was soft and attentive.

"Who was he?" She raised her face, looking into his eyes. Ekansh's expression darkened slightly at her question, his eyes hardening. He tensed instinctively, his grip on her tightening just the slightest bit.

"Just someone who tried to do something stupid," he replied vaguely. "But I took care of it."

Kiara nodded and closed her eyes, "Can I visit my parents for a week?" She asked.

The question took him by surprise, and he paused momentarily, his fingers stilling for a brief moment. But he quickly composed himself and nodded, his gaze softening.

"Of course you can," he responded, his voice filled with warmth. "I have no problem with that."

She smiled, "Drop me tomorrow when you will go to the office."

Ekansh nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Sure, I can do that." He agreed, his hand gently rubbing her back. "But you'll have to promise me something."

She frowned, "What?" He caught her gaze, his expression growing more serious. "Promise me you'll be careful," he replied, his tone firm. "And keep in touch every day, okay?"

She nodded, He let out a relieved sigh, his grip around her instinctively tightening slightly. "Good," he murmured, his voice tinged with a hint of worry. "I don't want anything happening to you."

Kiara woke up and looked at her husband who was packing her clothes, she frowned. "What are you doing?"

"You asked me to drop you at your parents baby," he explained and walked towards her pecking her forehead.

"Come on get ready, I will drop you." He caressed her hair and she smiled. She sat up tiredly and walked inside the washroom.

Once she was ready she came back, "Shall we go?" Ekansh nodded, his gaze lingering on her for a moment before he reached out to take her hand. "Let's go," he replied, his touch tender.

He led her to the car and opened the door for her, his hand gently resting on her lower back as he helped her in. Once she was settled, he shut the door and circled the car to the driver's seat.

The drive was peaceful, slow music and their hands intertwined until.he pulled the car in the parking lot of her parents house.

They both walked inside and were welcomed by her mother and father, she immediately hugged them and Ekansh touched their feets in order to take their blessings.

"Come inside beta," her mother asked Ekansh who looked at Kiara before answering. "Aunty I am getting late for the office." He replied.

Her mother shook her head, "Work can wait, and you can call us mom and dad beta. Come inside, have breakfast and then you can leave."

Ekansh hesitated for a moment, his eyes darting to Kiara before nodding. "Alright," he relents. "I'll stay for breakfast."

He followed them inside, feeling a mix of awkwardness and warmth at their invitation.

He hadn't spent much time around Kiara's parents since their marriage, and he felt a sense of responsibility to make a good impression.

As he sat down at the dining table, he helped himself to the food laid out before him, his movements a bit stiff and formal.

"Eat more my child," her mother said and passed him another paratha, he was not used to, he used to have cereals and toast in breakfast, and also he was not used to such care.

Ekansh smiled politely and obliged, accepting the paratha. He took a small bite, the unfamiliar texture and flavour taking him by surprise. He chewed slowly, trying to hide his discomfort but his facial expressions gave him away.

He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his mind racing with thoughts. He wasn't used to being pampered like this, and the attention was making him feel a bit suffocated.

Kiara Chuckled, "You are not being interviewed Mr. Shekhawat." She whispered.

Ekansh shot her an amused glance, his tense expression softening slightly. Her teasing words were like a ray of familiarity in this unfamiliar setting.

"I feel like I am," he muttered under his breath, his voice low enough for only her to hear. "Your parents are being too nice."

She smiled understanding he has never been treated nicely at his home. "Feel at home."
