Chapter 8
Lexi
I’m trying not to breathe too hard because I don’t want to wake Emmett up. I’ve been staring at him like a creeper for the past ten minutes.
I can’t help it. He’s just so pretty to look at.
He’s sprawled out on the nest, full body on display. My eyes slowly trail down his body, staring at his peaceful face, down over his toned abs, right past his delicious V to his cock.
I clench my thighs together at the memories of what that very cock did to me over the past few days. Some things are a little hazy, but I remember clearly our first time. How he made sure I felt safe, that I was okay. It was perfect.
And orgasms, how the hell have I been missing out on those? I plan on having a lot more of them from now on. Especially if it’s this man who’s the one giving them.
The longer I stare at his cock, the more I swear I see it growing.
“Keep looking at it like that, and you’re going to wake it up.”
My eyes snap up to find Emmett’s sleepy gaze on me, a knowing smirk on his lips.
“Whatever.” I narrow my eyes, cheeks heating. “It’s not all that impressive anyway.”
He gapes at me, and I bite my tongue trying to keep my giggle in.
“Oh, you're gonna pay for that,” he growls. I burst into giggles as he rolls over, pinning me to the bed. Pure joy radiates through me. It’s so overwhelming I could cry.
“Yeah?” I giggle. “What are you gonna do about it?”
“This.” He gives me a wicked grin, and I know I’m fucked. He starts to tickle me, and I burst into laughter.
“Emmett!” I gasp. “You’re going to make me pee myself.”
“What?” he shouts like he can’t hear me. “Sorry, what was that?”
“Can’t. Breathe.” I laugh.
He stops, and I relax into the bed.
With anyone else, I’d have lost it. Being pinned to the bed, being tickled and touched is crossing a boundary that I won’t forgive. But with Emmett, I know in my soul I’m safe with him. That he would never hurt me.
He leans back and points to his very hard dick. “Say you're sorry.”
I giggle, shaking my head. “You are too much.”
“You hurt his feelings,” he pouts.
Rolling my eyes, I sit up and look at him. His lips part, like he can’t believe I’m about to do what I’m about to do, but I do it.
Grabbing the base of his cock, I suck the tip into my mouth. Emmett lets out a shuddering groan. I take him in further, not having a clue if I’m doing it right. But with the way Emmett’s body shakes and how he moans my name, I think I’m doing okay.
Up and down, I suck him hard, making sure to play with his balls. “Shit,” he pants out. “Fuck, Lexi. So amazing.”
I take my time, humming around him, as I grow addicted to his taste. “I’m close, baby.”
Wanting to make him feel good, I keep going until his thighs start to tremble.
“Lexi,” he whimpers, and I smile around his shaft. I suck until he tenses and his cock twitches in my mouth. I swallow as much of him down as I can, but with him being an Omega, it’s a lot more than I can handle.
When he’s done, I pull back with a pop, licking my lips, then stare up at him.
“You are so damn perfect, do you know that?” He says it with so much adoration that my heart skips a beat.
“We both know that's not true, but thanks.” I laugh his comment off.
“Enough of that,” he murmurs. His thumb brushes some of his release off the corner of my lips, and he pushes it into my mouth. I suck on his thumb, making him groan.
He pulls his thumb free. “Enough of what?”
“Putting yourself down. Not around me.” Gripping my chin lightly, he leans down and kisses me softly until my head is spinning.
“Is this even real?” I sigh, flopping back onto the nest.
He moves to lie down next to me, and I roll onto my side to face him. “Very real.” He smiles.
“So, that just happened."
“The blow job? Yeah, it did, and it was fucking amazing.” He grins.
“No.” I laugh, burying my face into the blanket. “My heat.”
His hand settles on my hip, thumb brushing against the curve of my ass, making me shiver. “How are you feeling?”
“A little sore, but in a good way.” I bite my lip. “Amazing. I–” I close my eyes, afraid I’m going to start crying. “I was so worried.” I open them again. “But you did everything you could to make it the best heat ever. It’s beyond what I could have imagined, so thank you.”
“You don’t have to thank me, Lexi. I was more than happy to help you through it. This heat, and any other heat you have.”
“Really?”
He nods. “Always.”
“What are we?” We confessed our feelings for one another, and have been having sex for the past few days. And while it’s been the best time of my life, I don’t know what this means for us.
“What do you want us to be?” he asks, a boyish smile on his face.
“Really?” I groan. “You’re going to make me be the one to put myself out there?”
He chuckles. “Baby, you already know how I feel. I’m so madly, deeply, and utterly in love with you.”
My heart starts to race, and I can’t help but smile. “I love you too,” I whisper.
“Yeah?” He smiles, moving his hand up to brush his thumb over my cheek.
“I want you to be mine,” I confess, heart pounding.
“Then I’m yours.”
“Just like that?” I laugh.
“I’ve been yours since the moment I laid eyes on you, so yeah, baby, just like that.”
“It’s weird hearing you call me baby.”
“Don’t like it?” He questions, raising a brow.
“I do.” I smile. “A lot.”
“Lexi.”
“Mhhm.”
“Be my Omega.”
My face splits into a grin. “Okay.”
His grin matches mine. “Yeah?”
“Yeah.” I giggle as he pulls me into his arms and kisses me until my head spins.
We cuddle for a long time, just enjoying the moment.
“Emmett?”
“Yeah?”
“Do you want a pack?”
“No,” he tells me. “It’s not something I’ve ever thought of, really. I’ve been content being alone... until I met you. You’re the only one I need, really.”
“Same.” I bury my face into his chest. “But what if we meet our scent matches?” Even though the idea of being tied to an Alpha terrifies me, I still wonder what it would be like.
“I don’t know,” he admits. “All I know is I’d have you by my side. They would have to accept that you’re number one and always will be.”
“Same.” I trace my fingers over the ridges of his abs.
“But let’s not worry about that,” he says. “All that matters is you, me and our life in Widows Peak. If something happens, we’ll deal with it then.”
“Okay.”
Once we drag ourselves out of the nest, Emmett works on getting everything packed while I grab all the soiled blankets.
“I destroyed your nest.” I cringe as I stare at the nearly empty space.
“But in the best way possible,” he chuckles. “Also, not all the blankets are dirty.” He grabs a few from the pile and examines them. “These don’t have anything on them.” He tosses them back into the nest.
“They have my scent on them.”
“So?” he raises a brow. “Even better."
“I can’t believe you’re so okay with me ruining your nest.”
“Lexi.” He takes my shoulders. “You didn’t ruin anything. Now stop overthinking.” He kisses my forehead before grabbing the bundle of blankets. I watch him toss something back into the nest before he heads down the hall.
That little shit! He’s stealing my hoodie again.
A warm and fuzzy feeling hits me knowing he’s been stealing my hoodies. Has he been using them for his nest? Oh my god. This man!
How did it take me this long to snatch him up? He doesn't care about the age gap, he’s perfect.
I’m floating on air for the rest of the day. I’m home now, but my mind is still back at the cabin.
It’s been a few days since my heat ended, but it wasn’t until this morning that Emmett and I parted ways. He had to go help an elderly couple fix their driveway. Neither of us wanted him to leave, but it was something he had put off because of my heat, so he went.
Now I feel restless and don’t want to be by myself at home, so I’ve decided to go next door and bug my sister.
“Silva,” I whine, flopping backward onto her bed. “I feel like a needy, clingy, crazy girlfriend.”
“You sure you’re not?” she chuckles, joining me on the bed.
“Maybe.” I sit up. “He’s been gone for a few hours, and I feel like I’m dying without him.”
“Who are you, and what did you do with my sister?”
“I’m being serious,” I scold her.
“So am I,” she laughs. “Lexi, you’ve never, not once, shown any kind of romantic interest in anyone before. So seeing you like this, a lovesick fool, is entertaining as hell.”
“You suck.” I glare at her.
“I think it’s adorable, really. And I’m happy for you.”
“He’s going to get so sick of me,” I sigh. “We’re not even scent matches, but I have this overwhelming need to keep him close.”
“You’re still overly sensitive from your heat, your hormones are still out of whack. Give it a few days, maybe a week, and you’ll be back to normal.”
“I hope so. I both hate and love these new feelings. I honestly thought I was broken for so long, then Emmett came along and made me feel so many new things, and it’s exciting and terrifying at the same time.”
“You were never broken, Lex.” Her tone turns softer.
“Trauma affects everyone in different ways. Your body shut itself off out of self-preservation. When you got to the point where your mind and body knew you were safe with Emmett, that he’d never hurt you or put you in any danger, you allowed yourself to let him in without even knowing. ”
“You are too smart for your own good. It’s scary sometimes. Are you sure you’re not a witch?”
She rolls her eyes. “I just know you, Lexi.”
“I feel stupid.” I look down at the bed, absent-mindedly picking at her blanket.
“Why?”
“Because I’m thirty-one but I feel like a teenager obsessed with the hot guy at school.”
“So what? You deserve to feel however you feel, Lexi. That choice was ripped from you at a young age. You didn’t get the chance to experience first love when you were a teenager. It doesn’t matter when you get to experience those good things in your life. Just enjoy them because you deserve it.”
“Thanks.” I smile. “I still can’t believe we’re more than friends, you know? Will this affect our friendship? Will things be weird?"
“Have they felt weird yet?”
