Chapter 20

Lexi

We’re just walking home after a long day out. Honestly, it was a lot of fun. At first, I was nervous to go out alone with Aiden, but within ten minutes, I felt relaxed, safe, and at home.

Doesn’t mean it wasn’t hard to push back the negative thoughts that had me wanting to put up walls and protect myself.

What I didn’t expect was to let my walls down so much. So much so that I wasn’t thinking and got swept up in the moment, resulting in giving Aiden a mate mark.

While I wanted to die with shame and guilt, Aiden did an amazing job letting me know that what I did wasn’t wrong. Really, that’s all that matters–his opinion, no one else's.

After getting changed, we went for lunch, and those chicken wings were just what I needed.

I showed him around most of the town before we stopped in to grab some things for the house.

I didn’t realize how low on food my fridge and cupboards were.

Now with Emmett being back, I know I need to stock up.

Aiden was a sweetheart, going crazy adding things to the cart, all fun but healthy choices. He kept saying this would be good for the baby and that it’s healthy.

It was adorable because every time he’d ask me first. Like he was giving me the chance to say no.

I didn’t because, honestly, his choices all looked really good.

Then he said he wanted to cook supper for us before they left for the night. Part of me doesn't want them to leave, though. I hardly got to see Sloane, and I’ve found myself missing his playful ways and random words.

Bags in hand, we head inside. I know Emmett is here because I see his truck outside. He must have gone for a walk to grab it.

“Baby, we’re back!” I shout as I enter the house, expecting Emmett to be playing a game on the couch with his headset on.

Oh. He's on the couch, alright. With Sloane’s tongue down his throat. At the sound of my voice, Emmett jumps to his feet. “We were just playing Go Fish!” Emmett blurts, with wide eyes and a flushed look on his face.

“Oh yeah?” I giggle. “With Sloane’s tongue? Hey Sloane, is there a nine in there, or a ten?”

The man in question gets to his feet and chuckles. “Would you relax? We did nothing wrong. You even said she would be fine if something happened.”

“And I am.” I cock my head to the side. “Why do you look so guilty?”

His face turns an adorable shade of pink, his lips swollen from his makeout session with Sloane. I wonder if he and Aiden kiss the same? Aiden is slow and sensual. I feel like Sloane would be wild and solid, like his personality. I can’t wait to find out.

“What are you thinking about over there, Kitten?” Sloane asks playfully.

I shake my head, but smile back. “I was thinking about kissing you,” I answer honestly.

Emmett gapes at me in shock.

Sloane gives me a heated look. “Why don’t you come over here and do that? ” But his mood shifts when his attention moves to Aiden. His brows furrow, eyes locking on his face. No, not his face, his neck.

His eyes widen, and he gasps. “Judas!” He points to Aiden. “What is that on your neck, young man? How dare you be out whoring yourself around with our Omega. And, you didn’t invite me?!”

At first, worry spikes through me, but then it turns to amusement. Of course, he’s not mad.

“Relax, drama queen,” Aiden sighs. “First, I’m older than you, so don’t ‘young man’ me. And second, I’d like to ask you the same question. Because it looks like you’re sporting a very similar mark on your neck.”

That gets my attention. My eyes lock onto Sloane’s neck, and yup, there are two lines of teeth marks. My eyes flick over to Emmett, but his eyes are on Aiden’s neck. “Well, fuck me,” he sighs. “Here I was, shitting my pants thinking you were going to kill me for marking Sloane.”

“Huh.” Sloane’s cocky smirk is back. “Would you look at that, Aiden? Looks like we have ourselves two mischievous little Omegas. Whatever will we do?”

“I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to make them food before we let them be for the night.”

“What?!” Sloane pouts. “I don’t wanna go back to the inn. I hate it there.”

“Why? The inn is very nice,” I ask him.

“Uh, because it doesn’t have you two. Duh.” He rolls his eyes, and I snort a laugh.

Aiden brings all the bags into the kitchen before making his way into the living room. I hang back and cross my arms, smiling softly as I watch.

“Hey.” Aiden steps up to Emmett. “How are you doing?”

Emmett blinks up at him in confusion. “No idea,” he admits.

Aiden nods. He leans in and whispers something in Emmett’s ear. Emmett’s face flushes, and then he nods. Aiden pulls back, smiles softly down at Emmett, and kisses him sweetly.

I bite my lower lip, heart damn near exploding. This is all so bizarre, but also thrilling.

“You.” Aiden steps over to Sloane. He grabs Sloane’s hair and yanks his head to the side. “Let’s get a look at this mark.”

“Pretty sweet, right? Just need a matching one on the other side from my little Kitten.” He looks over at me and winks. “I know you have claws, but do you have the fangs too?”

“Guess you’re going to have to find out.” I give him a smug look.

“Can’t fucking wait.” His cocky smirk melts away, and his eyes flutter shut when Aiden brushes his finger over his mark.

“I’m gonna have so much fun with this,” Aiden chuckles.

“You don’t play fair,” Sloane growls, pushing away from him before grabbing Aiden by the back of the neck, pulling him close so he can kiss Aiden’s neck. No, not kiss, suck. Right over my bite mark. Aiden moans, his hands gripping Sloane’s waist. “Yeah, that’s right. Two can play that game.”

Emmett comes to stand by my side. “This is so weird,” he whispers.

“But also exciting, right?”

“Yeah.” He looks at me. “So, we ah, did a thing?” He rubs the back of his head.

“We’ll talk tonight.” I lean up on my tiptoes and kiss him gently. “I’m not mad. Are you?”

“No.” He shakes his head.

“I love you.” I wrap my arms around him, staring up at him lovingly while the two Alphas start to fight. Or maybe it’s some sort of foreplay? If they fuck on my couch, I wouldn’t be opposed to it. Especially if I get to watch.

“Pretty sure I love you more.” He grins, kissing the tip of my nose.

“Maybe in the past, but not now.”

“How are my girls?” Emmett asks.

“Girls, huh?” I laugh. “You think it’s a girl?”

“I have a feeling.” Emmett shrugs.

“It better not be a girl,” Sloane growls. I look over to see that he and Aiden have stopped messing around. “Because I’d have to murder anyone who came around my little Princess.”

Aiden sighs, rolling his eyes. “The baby isn’t even born yet. We don’t even know what gender it is.”

“You’re right.” Sloane nods. “I’d also kill anyone who came near my little Prince. So either way, there will be a lot of dead bodies in the future. Hey, you said you have a cabin.” He looks to Emmett. “How's the soil? Easy to dig? Please tell me it sits on a large plot of land? To hide the bodies?”

A smile splits my face, and I giggle.

“Oh, that’s funny, huh?” Sloane swaggers over to me.

“Yeah. Very funny.” I smile up at him, feeling all warm and fuzzy when he wraps his arms around me.

“You don’t think I’d do it?” Sloane cocks his head. “I’ve killed before.”

“Somehow, I know you’re telling the truth. And while that should scare me, waving a million red flags at me, it doesn’t. Something tells me you wouldn’t just kill anyone, though. And not for dating our child.” Our? Since when did I see this baby as ours?

The words don’t feel wrong, though. I thought it might take me longer to open up to these Alphas. I could almost cry over the fact that my trauma and past aren’t fucking this up for me. I finally get something good in my life without my stupid brain getting in the way.

Guess scent matches are a lot more useful than I thought.

“Fine,” he sighs. “Only really bad people.” I don’t miss the flash in his eyes. He picked up on it, too.

“What’s for supper?” Emmett asks.

“Garlic roasted chicken breast, asparagus, and mashed potatoes."

“Oh, my favorite.” Emmett’s eyes light up.

“I know. Lexi told me.”

Emmett smiles over at me, and I smile back.

We end up helping the guys cook, and I love every moment of it. I’ve never felt so full and happy in my life. It’s loud and chaotic. Sloane is unapologetically himself, making us laugh and getting a few slaps upside the head from Aiden.

Supper is amazing. I loved every bite, and based on the moans coming from Emmett, he did too.

“You should hear what he sounds like when he cums. Even better than this,” Sloane whispers not so quietly to Aiden.

I give Emmett a look. He blushes, taking another bite. I grin. Guess we have lots to talk about.

“Sounds a lot like Lexi when she cums,” Aiden chuckles, and my eyes snap over to his, then back to Emmett, who grins with a raised brow. Yeah, a lot to talk about.

“Alright, Emmett, you make Lexi cum right now so we can compare sounds,” Sloane suggests, and Emmett chokes on his food.

“What?” he croaks.

“I’m just fucking with you.” Sloane grins. “But really, I would like to know someday soon.” Sloane winks.

“If you kill my Omega by making him choke to death, you won’t be getting anything.” I give Sloane a playful glare.

“If anyone is going to choke to death on something, I’d rather it be my cock than a piece of chicken. So Emmett, chew your food before your Omega has my balls.” Sloane looks over at me with a grin. “But if you really want them, I’ll gladly hand them over. Hell, they’re yours. Take them.”

I don’t think my face has hurt so much from smiling as it does today.

Yeah, these two Alphas? I think it’s safe to say, they can stay.

“I can’t believe you’re actually moved in.” I’m smiling, leaning against the doorway to my spare room. I guess it’s Emmett’s new room now.

He gives me a boyish smile over his shoulder. “Were you not serious when you brought it up?”

“Oh, I was.” I chuckle, stepping into the room. I walk to him and wrap my arms around his waist. “I just didn’t think you would have everything moved in the next day. I’m impressed.”
