Chapter 33 Weird

?Azalea?

I wake up alone. I punch the spot Grey lays, picturing it's his arm or something. I pick up my phone from the table beside the bed and a message from him shows once I turn it on.

'I had to work early this morning. I'll be at the restaurant by the time you wake up so come fuckin see me' it reads and I bite back a smile.

I sit up slowly and fix the large t-shirt that hides the rest of my bare body. I pet Bear who lays at the end of the bed and eventually decide that it's time to get up.

When I do, my goody region aches. I sigh, laying back down.

I try again a couple of minutes later. I walk semi-slowly to the bathroom and do everything I need to do. Shower, sing like the best singer in the world in the shower, brush my teeth, do my hair, and tinkle.

I throw on a pair of leggings and a thin pullover over top of my light blue shirt. I cuddle with Bear for a couple of minutes while watching a short documentary on what it will be like when I go to prison.

I pick myself up, give Bear a kiss on the head, lock the door on my way out, and head to my car.

Getting in my car I have to take it a bit slower. My extreme goody region is just really slowing me down today.

I go eighty in a twenty-five speed limit zone and one-hundred in a fifty zone on the way to the restaurant.

What if I actually did that? I would never. I don't think my legs would let me do that.

Arriving in town square, I stop by the coffee shop that just so happens to be my favorite and I get Grey and me the same thing.

Iced caramel coffee. I know it's his favorite. Every time I get it he ends up taking it. I end up slapping his butt. He ends up slapping mine. It's a repetitive cycle. But this time he's getting his own because I'm drained and I needa full one for myself.

Is it because of the sexy time we had last night? No. Prison documentaries make me nervous.

And the sexy time had a big part.

I push open the door of the restaurant and I'm greeted by Jai.

"Y'all are closed today?" I ask, looking around the place and noticing that it's empty.

"Yeah, we had a busy morning and just haven't opened back up yet," he nods, "Grey's somewhere in the back."

"Thank you Jai," I smile, "I would've got you something at the coffee place but I don't know what you like."

"It's okay," he smiles back, his blue eyes brightening. Such a darling.

I bust through the door to the back and see Jonas.

"That for me?" he nods to the coffee.

"You wish buddy," I scrunch my nose at him he takes a threatening jump at me and I lightly kick his shins.

"Expect the police to be knocking on your door looking for you for committing assault and battery on me just now," he says as he pushes through the door.

Too bad I'm an experienced escape artist.

I take a long sip of the drink in my hand.

Maxon walks out of the bathroom.

"Hey big booty Judy," I acknowledge him and he sticks his booty out a little bit, giving me a wink.

I open the door to Grey's office and he's not in there.

"Aren't you not allowed back here?" I pass by Jaqueline. She and I have literally seen each other back here on quite a few occasions. There's no need to be rude just because I get to slap Grey's butt and she doesn't.

I ignore her and come to the door at the end of the hall. The meeting room or whatever it is, I don't even know.

I bust that joint open and walk in there.

"You shot a tree," I hear Grey's grumbly voice and I see him, Theo, and Linc all sitting at a table together.

"Yeah, okay, well it's not like it was on purpose," Theo mumbles.

"That's the fucking problem. How do you miss a target and hit a tree? We weren't even close to a tree," Grey crosses his arms and I bite my lip to conceal a laugh. He's all business right now.

Such a cutie.

I sneak up behind him and the two in front of him see me. Theo smiles and Lincoln gives me a look that says 'scare him.'

I don't think they understand how many times I've tried to scare that man. A few times after he gets out the shower I try and scare him as he comes out of the bathroom. He doesn't flinch and he picks me up and tosses me onto the bed like 'aw, cute. Nice try.'

He cannot be scared. He's superhuman. He's got superhuman hearing too. I'm pretty sure he already knows I'm here anyway.

"You know what? I think Lincoln nudged me and my aim just when," he raises his hand in a demonstration, showing how his aim went way high.

"I was beside Grey, nice try," Lincoln gives him a pointed look.

I walk right up behind Grey and he leans back in his chair, obviously knowing I'm here. I bend down and press my lips to his cheek, face not booty.

He turns his head and kisses me on the lips.

"Kiss me Lincoln," Theo leans toward him.

"Piss off."

I hand him the coffee and when he raises his hand and places it on my gluteus maximus, I open my mouth up.

"Oh baby," I hear Oaklee's voice as he comes through the door, "can someone come and hold onto my ass?"

"What ass?" Lincoln questions.

"Wow, okay," Oaklee scoffs in a reply. I grip onto Grey's hand and move it up to my back.

"We need to have a discussion about the poor tree-"

"We already had one," Theo groans.

"Well, it's fuckin' funny so we're about to have it again," Lincoln smirks.

"Aw, look. You have a caramel frappe Greyson," Oaklee places his hand on Grey's shoulder, giving it a little squeeze before releasing him. I smile at the disregard coming from Oaklee at how much Grey hates to be touched. And I'm sure he really doesn't appreciate being called 'Greyson'.

"Touch me again," Grey stands, taking a hold of my hand, "touch me again. And call me Greyson."

Oaklee backs down a bit. But I can tell he wants to touch him again just because he's insinuating that he better not or he's going to get kicked in the head.

All I see is cuteness. The way his eyes narrow in the slightest bit and how his nose scrunches up only a little.

Ugh, I love this fella.

"Pick up your caramel frappuccino cappuccino latte and follow your woman on out of here," Oaklee speaks possibly the most confusing sentence I've ever heard.

"Yeah, I fuckin' will," Grey picks up his drink, "jealous motherfucker."

He grips onto my hand with his empty one and turns back around right as we're about to exit.

"At least I'm not chasing after Lincoln's mom," Grey slams the door behind us and suddenly there's shouting on the other side.

"Is he actually?" I gasp.

"No. But I know Lincoln will knock him out," he pulls me into his office and shuts the door behind us. I take a seat in his nice spinny chair and he leans against the desk in front of me.

"I have quite a few things on the itinerary that need to be spoken about," I fold my hands together.

"Oh really?" he questions lowly.

"Number one: what on earth did you do to me?" I place my hand on my lower stomach and watch as his lips turn up.

"You know what I did to you," he runs his tongue along the corner of his mouth.

"I'm sore."

"I'm sorry," he bends down, placing a soft kiss on my temple.

"You should be sore too," I tell him.

"I'm not sure what you want me to do."

"Let me punch you," I stand up and he slightly narrows his eyes.

"Punch me where?" he questions.

"I'm not going to punch you in your goody! Who do you think I am? Put your arm out and let me have at it," I grip onto his arm and stretch it out.

I punch him. He chuckles and pulls me into him.

Are you freaking kidding me?

He could've at least acted like it hurt him or something I mean, good Lord.

Now for the bad news. I know I should tell him this but, I don't know what his reaction will be.

Aaron tried to kiss me.

Was it only because he was drunk? I don't know. But I feel like it's something that he should probably know.

And I would like to know what Aaron was talking about when he said he and Grey had talked.

"Let's have a seat," I point to his chair and he sits. I take a seat on his desk so that he won't flip it if he gets mad enough.

"First off, I saw someone doing hard drugs and I'm a little shaken up," I lay the first thing on him.

"What is it that you really want to tell me?" he tilts his head, "I can tell that's not it."

"You're right. There's an elephant in the room. An elephant besides me. So there are two elephants in the room."

"Shut up."

"You know what? I can't tell you if you don't have a smile on your face, I really can't," I smile at his emotionless face.

I wait for him to smile. I wait a little longer.

I climb off his desk and onto his lap. He wraps his arms around me and I look directly at him.

"Smile."

"Grey, smile."

"You better smile."

"You're a crackhead."

"Smile before I make you."

"I love you so that means smile."

I grip his jaw and kiss him all over his face. His cheeks, his chin, his temple, his forehead, his jaw, his cheekbones, his nose, and his lips until he's smiling and holding onto me tighter than before.

"Okay yeah so here's the deal. At the party last night I saw Aaron and we talked for a second and then, you're just going to love this part, he like, well he tried kissing me," I just say it flat out and lean back to see his reaction.

His face becomes void of any recognizable emotion and he leans fully back in his chair. He runs his hand down his jaw.

"...What're you thinking?" I question him softly.

"Where's he at right now?" he asks calmly. Does this mean he's not that mad?

"I'm not sure," I tell him honestly and he nods.

"Tell him to come here," he advises me and my eyebrows slightly.

"Why?"

"I just wanna talk to him," he shrugs and I nod slowly picking up my phone and sending Aaron a test.

He calls me instead of answering the text.

"Azzy-" he starts off the call desperately.

"Oh dear Jesus," I mumble.

"I'm so sorry beautiful," he apologizes and I look at Grey.

"I don't think it's a good idea to call me that anymor-"

"I'll be there in five minutes, I'm sorry," he hangs up and I feel my heart beating out of my chest nervously.

"I think I'm going to have a heart attack," I grip onto my heart and Grey furrows his eyebrows.
