Bailey
I can’t stop staring at his abs. Seriously, a fucking crop top? The audacity.
Oh shit, there are four chairs. If I sit next to him I’ll look desperate but will I seem rude if I sit across from him? Or will it give, I’m interested in what you have to say vibes?
Dude, just sit the fuck down. Standing here like this is far worse than choosing the wrong chair.
“You good?” he asks with a smirk.
Fuck if I know. Am I good? I’m freaking out but surely I look like I’m fine, right?
“Yeah,” I manage with a strange garbled laugh.
I plop down into the chair across from him—last second decision.
Is it hot out here?
“So you got some piercings?” The words tumble out of my mouth like dice onto the table and I want to put them back in and swallow them whole because what the fuck?
Lolly laughs, it warms my chest as my dumbassery warms my cheeks—again.
“I did, actually. I got quite a few over the past year or so,” he says with a grin.
Oh, my god. He didn’t.
Did he?
My dick twitches in my pants at the thought. I clear my throat and rearrange my fucking jeans. “That’s um,” what the hell was I going to say? “That’s cool,” I manage. “They look good.” I swallow, my mouth suddenly dry.
Don’t look at his nipples. Don’t fucking do it. Eyes up top.
“When Jay opened up his shop, it was a few months before he hired a piercer. He’s been determined for the place to be a safe space and was really picky with his hires but he finally found one and, as you can see,” he gestures to his face and then his chest, “we became quick friends.”
“Oh.” Maybe he is seeing someone.
Of fucking course he is, he’s gorgeous.
“Oh?” he echoes, brows raised, his mouth tugging up at the corners.
“Yeah, I think that’s great, is all. They look good. You look good.”
His smile widens, those perfect teeth on display.
Stunning.
I shove a big bite of taco in my mouth in hopes it will stop me from further embarrassing myself.
“Thanks. I’m glad you like the ones you can see.”
I choke, the fucking taco trying to end me mid-swallow.
Holy shit. He really just said that.
I force the food down with a swig of Coke and look up to find him wiping a fucking tear from his face nearly doubled over in laughter.
“Asshole.”
“You missed me,” he teases.
I did. I really fucking did.
