13-Unwanted pregnancy

Raghav ji and Vaidehi were both startled.

Samrat seemed to realize what he had just said... or perhaps he deliberately changed the topic. He immediately adjusted his tone, making it more serious, and said-

"...I mean, this is very unfortunate. A young man dying like this is not right. Who could have done this? That person should be caught."

There was a faint hint of sarcasm in his voice... something only Vaidehi could sense.

The way he said "should be caught"... it sounded as if he was challenging the law himself.

Vaidehi's mind drifted back to the events of last night.

She remembered that strange glint in Samrat's eyes... like a dangerous predator.

And then Ayush's behavior... and Samrat's words-

"Anyone who dares to look at my wife... I'll break them."

Vaidehi softly asked-

"Don't you think... it could be the same person... who was near the window last night?"

Samrat looked into her eyes with a cold expression.

"There was nothing near the window except a storm, Vaidehi," he said calmly.

"And when a storm arrives... it sweeps away a lot of garbage with it. Maybe Ayush got carried away in it too."

Raghav ji turned off the TV.

"These youngsters these days... who knows what they're up to. I feel so bad for his parents..."

Vaidehi's anxiety began to rise.

Once again, she could see that same harsh and terrifying side of Samrat.

She quietly continued eating... but every bite felt heavy.

Samrat finished his tea, stood up, and while putting on his coat, said-

"I'm leaving for the office."

Then he looked at Vaidehi-

"And you... don't get too involved in outside news. You'll be safer if you stay at home."

He placed his hand on her head.

That touch was just like the one from last night-warm... but this time, along with affection, there was a strange sense of fear in it.

Samrat walked out.

Over the next few days, the city remained tense. After Ayush's death, the police were constantly busy with the investigation. Because of this, college holidays were declared and exams were postponed.

For Vaidehi, these holidays were nothing less than a punishment. In the silence of the house, she kept recalling Ayush's face and Samrat's cold words again and again.

Meanwhile, one afternoon, an expensive black BMW pulled up outside the house.

Samrat's closest friend and business partner-Sitam-stepped out of the car.

Sitam was also a professor at the same college and, apart from being a close friend, he was Samrat's right-hand man.

The two of them had built a large business together-and the most notable thing was that Samrat hadn't used a single rupee from his parents' wealth in it.

Along with Sitam, Gayatri had also come to meet Vaidehi.

As soon as Gayatri stepped inside the house, she saw Sitam coming from the front-

His appearance was just as intimidating as Samrat's-tall, with a stern expression on his face.

"Oh God! What is Yamaraj's younger brother doing here?" Gayatri muttered under her breath.

She was very scared of Sitam even in college.

The moment she saw him walking toward her, she immediately changed her path and ran in the other direction.

"I'm not going in front of this strict professor... or he'll fail me right here!" she thought to herself.

And she ran toward the swimming pool through the garden path.

Meanwhile, Sitam had no idea that Samrat wasn't home.

Holding some files, he was walking inside through the back path-near the swimming pool-so that he could reach the study room directly.

The sun was harsh, and the pool water shimmered like blue glass.

Gayatri kept looking back repeatedly to check if Sitam was following her...

And on the other side, Sitam was walking briskly, checking something on his phone.

As both of them turned at the same corner-

"Thud!"

Gayatri collided straight into Sitam's strong chest.

Sitam lost his balance, and out of fear, Gayatri held onto him tightly.

The very next moment-

Splash!!!

Both of them fell straight into the cold, deep swimming pool.

"Help! Help! I'm going to die! Mom!"

The moment she fell into the water, Gayatri started flailing wildly. She didn't know how to swim at all.

On the other hand, Sitam, who was a good swimmer, quickly regained his balance. Seeing that Gayatri was actually drowning, he immediately held her by the waist and tried to pull her up.

"Hey, calm down! I'm holding you!" Sitam shouted.

But Gayatri was completely panicked. Out of fear, she wrapped her arms tightly around Sitam's neck, making it hard for him to even breathe.

Struggling in the water, Sitam tried to bring her to the edge... when suddenly, something unexpected happened.

Amid Gayatri's frantic movements and Sitam trying to steady her, their faces came very close... and with a sudden splash of water-

their lips accidentally collided. It was just a one-second accident... but for Gayatri, it felt like her whole world had ended.

Sitam somehow managed to hold her and bring her to the edge of the pool. Both of them were completely drenched.

Sitam was breathing heavily... and Gayatri... she had gone completely still, like a statue.

Suddenly-

"Ahhh! Help! I'm ruined! I'm destroyed!"

She started crying loudly.

"My honor is gone!" she cried, holding her head.

Sitam took off his wet glasses and stared at her in disbelief.

"What nonsense are you talking about? That was just an accident!" he said irritably.

Just then, Vaidehi, who had rushed out after hearing the noise, reached there.

She saw Gayatri crying in a drenched state, and Sitam standing there, equally soaked.

"Gayatri! What happened? How did you fall into the water?" Vaidehi asked anxiously.

Gayatri immediately ran and hugged Vaidehi, crying uncontrollably.

"Vaidehi! I'm completely ruined!" she sobbed.

"What will happen to me now?"

She cried even louder-

"Now I'll definitely get pregnant! This strict professor kissed me!"

"Now I'll have a baby... and I'm still unmarried!"

Hearing this, Vaidehi was left speechless.

On the other hand, Sitam, who was wringing water out of his shirt, almost slipped when he heard that.

"What? Pregnant?" Sitam was shocked.

"You crazy girl! Do you even understand basic biology? No one gets pregnant from something like this!"

But Gayatri wasn't ready to listen. She cried even harder.

"He's lying!" she said through tears.

"My grandmother used to say-if a boy holds a girl like that and... and their lips touch, then the girl gets pregnant!"

Sniffling, she said-

"Vaidehi! How will I face my mother now?"

Sitam held his head in frustration.

Only one thought was running through his mind-

"I didn't do anything... and I'm already being blamed for everything!"

"Listen, Miss Drama Queen!" he said angrily, stepping toward her.

"I saved you from drowning! And whatever happened, happened because of you. It has nothing to do with pregnancy!"

Gayatri immediately hid behind Vaidehi.

"See! Now he's trying to scare me!" she said.

"First he took advantage... and now he's denying it! Vaidehi, send him to jail! He's going to be the father of my child!"Now Sitam was truly furious.

He looked at Vaidehi-

"Vaidehi, explain things to your crazy friend... or I'll throw her back into the pool!"

He said in irritation-

"She thinks people get pregnant just by kissing? ...She should be sent back to nursery!"

Vaidehi was stuck in the middle.

She didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

She was reminded of her own conversation with Samrat that morning-

where she had been thinking about a child even without anything actually happening...

And here, Gayatri was ready to become a mother just from a single accidental collision.

Muttering to himself, Sitam started walking away-

"Crazy girl! She ruined my entire day..."

"Am I going to become a father without even doing anything now?"

"Oh God... is everyone in Samrat's house insane?"

On the other side, Gayatri was still sobbing-

"Vaidehi... what if my child turns out as strict as him? What will I do?"

Vaidehi took a deep breath and started pulling her inside-

"Come on, first change your clothes... and don't worry. You're not going to become a mother... at least not right now!"

But Gayatri had already convinced herself.

She felt like her fate had been decided right there in the swimming pool.

Meanwhile, Sitam, sitting in his car in soaked clothes, was thinking-

"What sins did I commit... to end up with this walking, talking atom bomb!"

Vaidehi dragged Gayatri into the room. Water was still dripping from her body, and she just wouldn't stop crying.

Vaidehi quickly opened the wardrobe and took out a blue kurti and pajama for her.

"Here, change quickly... or you'll catch a cold," she said, placing a towel on her head.

Gayatri changed with trembling hands, but her face looked as if she had suffered the biggest loss of her life.

After changing, she sat on the sofa... and placed her hand on her stomach.

She kept looking at her stomach again and again, as if something was about to happen right there.

Vaidehi sat beside her and started drying her hair with a hair dryer.

"Gayatri, enough now... how long are you going to sit like this holding your stomach?" Vaidehi said with a slight smile.

Gayatri took a deep breath and said innocently-

"You won't understand, Vaidehi... I have a mother's heart now... it's beating so fast."

"Look... I feel like the baby is already kicking."

Vaidehi turned off the dryer and held her head.

"Your Highness! It hasn't even been five minutes since you fell!"

"Where would the kick come from?"

She said, laughing a little-

"And most importantly... did you study biology in school or just draw flowers and leaves in your notebook?"

Gayatri pouted and started thinking.

"I did study... a little," she said softly.

"But who studies everything? Who pays that much attention?"

Then suddenly she got excited-

"I just know that what Sitam sir did... that's how things move forward!"

Vaidehi held her forehead again.

Gayatri continued-

"And look at fate! You're pregnant... and I am too!"

"We'll raise our kids together!"

Vaidehi's mouth fell open-

"What??"

Gayatri got fully into planning mode-

"Yes! Let's fix our kids' marriage right now!"

"If I have a son and you have a daughter... then it's a done deal!"

She added softly-

"Just don't tell Sitam sir... or he'll ask for all my mark sheets as dowry!"

Now Vaidehi couldn't hold it in anymore.

She burst out laughing-so much that tears came to her eyes.

"Oh God, Gayatri!" she said, laughing,

"I used to think you were very smart... very intelligent..."

"But today... today I realized-you're even more foolish than me!"Gayatri looked at her angrily-

"Hey! Don't laugh!"

"I'm serious!"

She said in frustration-

"My entire life is at stake... and you feel like joking?"

Vaidehi stopped laughing and placed her hand on Gayatri's shoulder.

This time, she calmly began explaining the real "biology" to her.

She slowly explained how a baby is conceived, what cells are... and also that no one gets pregnant just from a touch or a kiss.

As Vaidehi continued explaining, Gayatri's eyes kept widening.

Her face first turned pale... then yellow... and finally red with embarrassment.

When Vaidehi finished, the room fell silent for a few seconds.

Gayatri slowly removed her hand from her stomach and looked around.

"So... that means... I'm not pregnant?" she asked softly.

"Absolutely not! Not even a one percent chance," Vaidehi said clearly.

Gayatri let out a long sigh of relief-

as if a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders.

"Oh God! I'm saved!" she said.

"Thank goodness I don't have any sign of that strict man with me!"

She relaxed a little and added-

"Anyway, I'm so scared of that man... the moment he enters the class, I get nervous!"

"All he does is scold people and glare at them!"

Now her mood had lightened a bit.

Adjusting Vaidehi's kurti, she said-

"But seriously... you gave me full knowledge today!"

"I really thought I was ruined... I had even thought of a name for the baby-Suddhu!"

Then suddenly, she remembered something-

"But listen... if Sitam sir finds out about all the drama I created downstairs... what will he do to me?"

Vaidehi said playfully-

"That, time will tell..."

"Anyway, he's Samrat sir's partner... now you'll run into him often if you come here."

Gayatri immediately hid her face in a pillow-

"No! I'll never go near the swimming pool again!"

"And yes... I'm not going to forget that you called me 'fool'!"

Then she added with attitude-

"At least I'm not living with a 'stone-hearted' man like Samrat sir!"

Vaidehi gave a faint smile... but there was a hint of sadness in it.

She let the matter drop there.

Vaidehi and Gayatri were so lost in their conversation that they had no idea.

..

just outside the open door, two shadows stood silently, listening to everything.Suddenly, Vaidehi's gaze fell forward, and the hair dryer almost slipped from her hand.

At the doorway stood Samrat and Sitam. Samrat had his hands in his coat pockets, and Sitam-now changed into different clothes-was leaning against the wall with his hand on his forehead.

Their faces clearly showed that they had heard everything-from the "Suddhu marriage plan" to the entire "biology lecture. "

"Ahhh!" Gayatri screamed loudly and hid behind the sofa.

"Since when have these two monsters been standing here?"

Samrat's cold, deep eyes fixed on Vaidehi. There was a strange sternness on his face that made her uneasy. He didn't say anything-just gave his wife a sharp look and turned toward the stairs. Sitam also gave Gayatri a warning glance, as if saying, "I'll deal with you later..." and followed Samrat.

The hallway fell silent for a moment. Then suddenly, a slight smirk appeared on Samrat's lips. Without turning back, he spoke in a slow but clear voice-

"So... how does it feel, Suddhu's father?"

Sitam stopped mid-step. His face turned red with anger. He stepped forward and punched Samrat hard on the shoulder.

"You idiot! You haven't even become a proper husband yourself, and you're calling me a father?" Sitam said in a low, angry voice.

"Don't take that crazy girl seriously. And yes, under no circumstances are you going to call me by that name!"

But Samrat was in a teasing mood today. As he walked down the stairs, he kept provoking him-

"Suddhu's father... Suddhu's father... Come on, Sitam, the name isn't that bad. At least you've achieved something... even if it happened by falling into the pool."

Sitam grew even more irritated.

"Shut up, Samrat! Or I'll tell everyone how much 'biology' is missing in your married life! You have to cool your physical desires with ice!"

Samrat's laughter suddenly vanished. As soon as the two entered the study room, the atmosphere completely changed. Samrat locked the door from inside and went to sit behind his desk. The joking was over... now they were facing that dark world he wanted to keep Vaidehi away from at all costs.

Sitam threw a file onto the table and sat down on the sofa. His face was now completely serious.

"Samrat, stop joking and get serious," Sitam said in a low but heavy voice.

"What you did that night... was too much. You killed that girl... who was pregnant."Samrat pushed his chair back and looked toward the window. His voice was cold-

Sitam slammed his hand on the table, forcing him to look at him-

"Do you even know whose daughter she was? She was Rajesh Khanna's only daughter, Samrat!

Our biggest rival... the same man we've had a years-long enmity with."

There was still no change on Samrat's face.

Sitam continued-

"A few months ago, she ran away with her lover. Her father had been searching for her like a madman.

Rajesh Khanna himself had her lover killed... because it was against his honor.

That poor girl was running to save her life... and that day, she had come to the college just to take admission, so she could start fresh with a new identity... and raise her child."

Sitam took a deep breath-

"But she made one mistake. She saw you... committing a murder."

"You shouldn't have killed her, Samrat... I warned you.

I told you to stay away from this matter."

Samrat stood up and began spinning the paperweight on his desk with his fingers. That same darkness had returned to his eyes.

"Whether she was Rajesh Khanna's daughter... or Yamaraj himself," Samrat said coldly,

"anyone who comes between me and Vaidehi... I will destroy them."

Sitam held his head in frustration.

"You've lost your mind, Samrat! If Rajesh Khanna finds out that his daughter's body was found in your territory, he will burn the entire city down.

And on top of that, the police... we managed to pass off Ayush's death as an accident, but this case is different.

That girl was pregnant, Samrat! The law will go against you... and so will your enemies."

Samrat placed the paperweight back on the table and looked straight into Sitam's eyes-

"Then let it be.

If Rajesh Khanna wants war... he'll get war.

But no one... no one touches my wife.

No one will reach Vaidehi."

Sitam picked up the file, defeated.

"You'll never change. Love is making you even more dangerous.

But remember... the day Vaidehi finds out that her 'stone-hearted' husband is actually an executioner... that day her love will turn into hatred."

Samrat's fists clenched. This was the truth he feared the most.

"She will never find out," he said in a low voice.

"For the world... I can be anything.

But for her... I'm just Samrat.

And to protect that truth, even if I have to eliminate ten people like Rajesh Khanna... I won't step back."

Sitam left the room without saying another word.

And Samrat... remained standing there in the darkness.

Outside the window, clouds gathered once again. The storm wasn't over yet...

it was just the silence before the coming destruction.

Upstairs, Vaidehi was still explaining things to Gayatri-

completely unaware that the blood on her husband's hands... was now about to reach the doorstep of their home.
