14-Possessiveness
"Since when have you been sitting in the room? Why don't you go outside? I need to change... please go out."
Hearing Vaidehi, Samrat looked at her silently for a few seconds, then stepped back slightly and said,
"Yeah... okay, as you wish."
Saying this, he went to the wardrobe, took something from there, came back, and casually sat on the sofa. Crossing one leg over the other, he took out his camera and, smiling, said,
"Alright... go ahead, start."
Vaidehi stared at him in shock.
Just a while ago, Sitam and Gayatri had left. While explaining things to Gayatri, Vaidehi herself had gotten tired. Honestly, she couldn't understand how someone could be so na?ve. Even in today's time, not knowing basic things felt strange to her.
On top of that, because of Gayatri, her clothes had gotten a little wet, so she wanted to change. But Samrat was still there... and he had no intention of leaving.
Annoyed, Vaidehi walked up to him, snatched the camera from his hand, and said,
"Will you go outside or should I really call mom and dad?"
Samrat gave a slight smile and said,
"Relax... why are you getting so hyper?"
With a mischievous grin, Samrat added,
"Call whoever you want... what will you even say? That your husband was looking at you? They'll just think I've already seen you... there's no curtain between husband and wife... nothing."
Vaidehi shouted angrily,
"Oh God! You're so shameless and disgusting!"
Samrat chuckled softly,
"You've seen nothing yet... if I really start being shameless, you'll forget how to breathe... you won't even be able to breathe."
Hearing this, Vaidehi's breathing actually became faster. Stepping back, she said,
"Please... just go outside..."Now Samrat got a little irritated. He came closer to her, held her by the waist, pulled her toward himself, and said,
"Don't push me like this..."
He lifted her suit slightly and held her stomach firmly, then said in a low voice,
"If you say that to me again... then I'll handle everything my way."
Vaidehi, out of fear, closed her eyes.
Leaning near her ear, Samrat whispered softly,
"You know... how jealous I feel... when you push me away... when you don't even give me the right to look at you..."
His voice turned heavier,
"You are mine... you don't need to hide from me..."
He stepped back a little, looking at her with a slight smile,
"And trust me... I don't like being ignored."
Blushing, she shouted,
"No!"
Saying this, she pushed Samrat and started running toward the washroom, but Samrat quickly stepped forward, caught her, and with a soft laugh said,
"Now you can't run... I'm not going to let you go now."
Saying this, Samrat lifted her in his arms and placed her on the bed. Leaning over her, he said in a low voice,
"Today... I'll show you what 'right' really means."
Vaidehi covered her face with both hands out of shyness. There was a slight smile on her lips-she wanted to laugh freely, but she was holding herself back, especially in front of Samrat.
Samrat could clearly understand that Vaidehi was feeling this moment. He, too, didn't want to lose this moment. He slowly pulled her under the blanket with him. Now only Vaidehi's face was outside; the rest of them were under the blanket. Inside, she could clearly feel his every movement.
Startled, she spoke up,
"What... what are you doing inside? Come out!"
Suddenly, Samrat popped his head out from under the blanket and, a little irritated, said,
"What do you mean what am I doing? I'm just looking at you... can't I even look at you now?"
Saying this, he turned on his phone's flashlight and pointed it at her face, smiling slightly.
Then he went back under the blanket and placed his lips on her stomach.
A strange sensation ran through Vaidehi's entire body. She grabbed his hair tightly and, wrapping her legs around his waist, said in a flustered voice,
"I feel ticklish... please stop..."
But Samrat didn't stop. Instead, moving a little upward, he said in a low voice,
"That's exactly what I want... I want you to feel every touch of mine... every single one."
Vaidehi slowly began to lose herself in the moment.
Her breathing grew heavier... as if she, too, was starting to want something more.
She gently placed her hand on Samrat's shoulder and slipped under the blanket herself.
Blushing, she held his hair tighter and moved her face closer, trying to kiss him.
But Samrat immediately turned his face away. Running his finger over her lips, he said with a slight smile,
"Not so easy... it's not that easy to have me."
Annoyed, Vaidehi said,
"Then why are you doing all this?"
Saying this, she lightly dug her nails into his back in anger. For a moment, Samrat closed his eyes-he was just as excited as Vaidehi.
But he controlled himself.
Suddenly, Vaidehi pushed him and got on top of him. Rubbing her nose against his, she slowly started moving her hand downward-
But Samrat immediately caught her hand and flipped her back under him again.
Leaning near her ear, he said in a low voice,
"Never... what you want won't happen like this."
Frustrated and confused, Vaidehi said,
"Why not? What's lacking in me?"
Samrat held her hair slightly tighter and, in a somewhat firm tone, said,
"Flaws? There are many... if I start, they won't end."
Hearing this, Vaidehi's heart sank. All her excitement vanished in an instant. A faint sadness filled her eyes.
She started thinking to herself-
Doesn't Samrat even like me? Am I not beautiful to him? Or... is there someone else in his life?
Her eyes became slightly teary.
Just then, Samrat gently bit her ear and whispered,
"Stop overthinking... there's no one else in my life but you."
After a pause, he added softly,
"You're just stupid sometimes.
.. I call you 'jaan,' I come so close to you.
.. but you still don't understand anything.
"The air in the room had become heavy and warm.
Samrat and Vaidehi were so close that there was no distance left between them.
Samrat's grip around Vaidehi's waist tightened.
He was just about to kiss her when suddenly the silence broke-
Hearing the door, anger was clearly visible in Samrat's eyes. He clenched his teeth and took a deep breath.
This moment was nothing less than a dream for him... and someone had just ruined it midway.
"Samrat! Bro, open the door... I left some important files on your table. They're very important for tomorrow morning's meeting!" Sitam's voice came from outside.
Samrat rested his head on Vaidehi's shoulder and muttered softly,
"Damn it... this idiot is here again..."
The irritation in his voice was obvious. Vaidehi was about to laugh, but she held herself back.
Samrat quickly stood up and, looking at Vaidehi with a firm expression, said,
"First... properly change your clothes. Otherwise, after seeing your 'biology,' he'll start giving another lecture. Now go... fast!"
Vaidehi gave a slight mischievous smile and immediately got off the bed, rushing toward the wardrobe.
Meanwhile, Samrat adjusted his shirt buttons, fixed his hair, and walked toward the door in irritation. As soon as he opened it, Sitam was standing there, smiling.
"Files..." Sitam said directly.
Samrat glared at him and replied,
"Files... or your death? Can you not give me one moment of peace?"
Sitam glanced at the condition inside the room and understood everything. He took a deep breath and said with a laugh,
"Bro, work comes first... the rest of your 'work' you can do all night."
Samrat lightly pushed him and said while stepping out,
"Just shut up and take your files."
About an hour later, in the dining hall of the house, Rukmini Devi and Raghav ji were having tea. Vaidehi had also come downstairs after changing her clothes.
Just then, Rukmini Devi placed her cup down and said,
"Listen, Vaidehi, we have to go to a birthday party this evening. It's my old friend's daughter's birthday. She invited us with a lot of love... if we don't go, she'll feel bad."
Vaidehi, a little excited, said,
"Mom, are we all going?"
Rukmini Devi smiled and replied,
"Yes, I've thought that you and Samrat should come with us too. It's been a long time since both of you went out anywhere."Just then, Samrat was passing by. As soon as he heard about the party, he stopped right there.
"I'm not going," Samrat said without any hesitation. "I've got a lot of work."
Rukmini Devi knew that Samrat didn't like parties or crowds at all, so she didn't insist much.
"Alright, if you have work, then don't go. Raghav ji, Vaidehi, and I will go."
Vaidehi's face fell a little, but she composed herself. She thought-at least this way, she'll get to go out for a while.
Vaidehi immediately went to her room. Today, she wanted to look her most beautiful.
She searched through her wardrobe and took out a very beautiful dark blue sleeveless gown from the bottom. It was a gift from her brother on her last birthday. The gown was a bit bold-the neckline was slightly deep, and the back was quite open.
Vaidehi wore the gown and stood in front of the mirror, looking at herself. Her skin looked even more radiant in blue. She left her hair open and applied a light lipstick.
Just then, Samrat entered the room.
As soon as his eyes fell on Vaidehi, he stopped in his tracks. For a few seconds, he just kept looking at her.
She looked ???? beautiful... but at the same moment, his possessive side woke up.
"What are you wearing?" His voice was cold.
Vaidehi turned toward him with a smile,
"How do I look? My brother gave it to me... it's pretty, right?"
Samrat slowly walked toward her. His gaze fixed on her bare shoulders and neckline. Narrowing his eyes slightly, he said,
"You're not going out wearing this."
Vaidehi was surprised,
"Why? What's wrong with it? It's beautiful... and nowadays everyone wears things like this."
Samrat cut her off mid-sentence,
"I don't care what others wear."
He suddenly grabbed her waist and pulled her toward himself. His grip was so strong that a soft gasp escaped Vaidehi.Leaning closer to her, Samrat said in a low but firm voice,
"You're my wife... and I don't want anyone else looking at you like this."
"This is your old-fashioned thinking, Mr. Samrat!" Vaidehi said angrily, trying to remove his hand.
"You can't control what I wear. Just because I'm married doesn't mean I'll give up my choices. I'll wear this... and I'm going!"
The anger was clearly visible in Samrat's eyes.
"You're not going to listen to me?" he asked coldly.
Looking straight into his eyes, Vaidehi replied,
"No... I won't."
Hearing this, Samrat's anger flared up even more. Suddenly, he pushed her against the wall.
"I told you, Vaidehi... don't challenge me," he whispered near her ear.
Before Vaidehi could understand anything, Samrat came extremely close to her. His grip was strong-so strong that she couldn't free herself.
After a few moments, he stepped back.
Vaidehi's face had turned red with anger and embarrassment. She immediately went to the mirror-there was a deep red mark clearly visible on her neck.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Standing behind her, Samrat gave a slight smile,
"Now go... try wearing that dress like this."
There was a strange coldness in his voice,
"Let everyone see... who you belong to."
Tears filled Vaidehi's eyes.
"You're so horrible! You did this on purpose... so that I can't wear this dress! I hate you!"
She sat down on the bed, crying.
Samrat looked at her for a few moments. A faint trace of conflict appeared on his face, but his possessiveness outweighed it.
"Love me or hate me... doesn't matter," he said in a low but firm tone,
"you're mine... only mine."
Saying this, he turned and walked out of the room.
Vaidehi remained sitting there... staring at that mark in the mirror.
The silence of the night had spread throughout the house, but what had happened in Samrat's room was still echoing in Vaidehi's heartThe mark Samrat had given her had shaken Vaidehi deeply.
She sat in front of the mirror for a long time, looking at herself-sometimes blaming herself, and sometimes trying to understand Samrat's intense, almost mad kind of love.
But Vaidehi wasn't someone who gave up easily.
If Samrat was stubborn... Vaidehi was no less.
About two hours later, it was time for the party.
Samrat thought Vaidehi had probably cried herself to sleep and wouldn't go to the party anymore... but when she walked out of the room, the entire scene changed.
Vaidehi wasn't wearing the blue gown-but what she wore instead was even more stunning.
She had on a beautiful emerald green net gown. It was sleeveless and came up to her knees. The flow of the dress was so graceful that with every step, she looked like a princess.
She had slightly curled her hair at the ends, letting it fall softly over her shoulders. With soft makeup on her face and deep red lipstick on her lips, her entire personality looked even more bold and striking.
An elegant diamond necklace shone around her neck, highlighting it even more.
And most importantly-she had cleverly covered that mark with concealer and foundation so well that it was no longer visible at all.
As Vaidehi walked down the stairs, Samrat was standing in the hall, looking at a file.
The moment he heard the sound of her sandals, he slowly lifted his head-
And the next second, his eyes locked on Vaidehi.
For a few seconds, he just kept staring at her.
"Damn..." he muttered very softly to himself.
She truly looked beautiful... but as his gaze moved from top to bottom, the softness on his face slowly disappeared.
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"Seriously?" he said, closing the file and stepping forward,
"You changed the dress... but not the intention, right?"
His voice was calm... but the anger inside him was clearly evident.
For a moment, Samrat's mind seemed to go blank. Her beauty had paused all his thoughts... but the next instant, as he noticed she was again wearing a sleeveless and short dress-and that the mark was gone-his anger immediately flared up.
He slammed the file onto the table and said angrily,
"What the hell is this, Vaidehi? What are you wearing? Go and change... right now!"
His voice was so loud that even the servants nearby got scared.
Samrat walked quickly toward her and grabbed her hand, about to take her upstairs, when suddenly a calm but firm voice came from behind-
"Stop, Samrat!"
It was Rukmini Devi. She had arrived there with Raghav ji, fully ready.
Samrat turned toward her in anger,
"Mom, are you seeing this? What is she wearing? This is not appropriate for the party."
Rukmini Devi stepped forward, held Vaidehi's hand, and looking into Samrat's eyes, said,
"This dress was my choice, Samrat. And there's nothing wrong with it. We're not going to a traditional function... it's a modern party."
Raghav ji also agreed,
"Exactly. Vaidehi looks very nice. Let her go."
Samrat fell silent for a moment.
He could fight the whole world... but not his mother. Her words were the final decision for him.
Frustration was clearly visible on his face. He clenched his fists and glared angrily at Vaidehi.
Vaidehi understood that now Samrat couldn't do anything.
She smiled slightly-a smile that clearly showed her victory.
As Rukmini Devi and Raghav ji started walking toward the door, Vaidehi paused for a moment.
She looked straight into Samrat's eyes.
There was burning anger in his eyes... as if he could do something at any moment.
Vaidehi lowered her gaze slightly... and then suddenly gave him a wink.
For a second, Samrat was completely stunned.
And before he could react, Vaidehi raised her hand and showed him the middle finger, sticking her tongue out slightly to tease him-
As if openly challenging him.
For Samrat Pratap Singh, this was the biggest insult... and the biggest challenge he had ever faced.
So what will happen next? What will Samrat do after this?
