1. Chapter One #2

We slept together a couple of times, but he still didn’t want to get into a relationship with me because he felt like we were too young to be so heavily committed.

Especially right before college. When he asked me to go to Paris early, I told him that my parents weren’t going to go with it.

He told me to figure it out, so I just thought that was the cutest shit.

I think maybe he was going to ask me to be his girl in Paris, and Oooh My God!

That was going to be the sweetest shit I’d probably ever encounter.

I hated lying to my parents, but I wanted this, and I was about to be seventeen soon, so I didn’t want to seem like a lil ass girl with Evan.

He was already seventeen but looked so much older as he was tall and so handsome.

I didn’t think my parents would agree with me dating a white boy, but oh well.

You like who you like. I’d never met his parents, and I didn’t think he told them about me either, and I was perfectly fine with that.

An hour later, we were boarding the plane.

Our flight to Paris was almost eight hours, and I was so glad we were in first class.

The flight attendant asked Evan what he wanted to drink, and he said gin and orange juice while giving me the side eye.

When she asked me, I just said orange juice knowing that I couldn’t order alcohol.

Once she took our orders, she went and got the drinks and brought them back to us.

She gave Even two bottles of the gin and he nodded.

When she walked away, he hurried to pour one of the bottles in my juice.

“Evan,” I laughed.

“Girl drink up. Did you get your hotel setup?” He asked.

“Yep. It’s not far from your penthouse.” I smiled.

I still had to get a hotel to throw my parents off, but I’d be spending most of my time with Evan.

We watched TV on our iPads while he kept ordering drinks, and I was getting tipsy so after they served lunch I went to sleep.

Hours later, we arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.

We weren’t on the same time as the east coast, so it was already after midnight there.

I called my mom, and she answered quick as hell.

“Hey, baby,” she spoke softly.

“Hey, mom. I just wanted to call and let you and dad know that we made it. I just checked into my hotel,” I told her.

“That’s good. Make sure you call us when you wake up and be careful, baby girl,” My dad chimed in.

“Yes, call me as soon as you get up. Love you muffin,” My mom said.

“Okay, I love y’all too.” I ended the call and turned to Evan.

“Let's dance, babe,” I reached for Evan's hand, and he smiled pulling me against him. Before I could even say anything else, he leaned down and kissed me. My heart immediately started pounding in my chest.

We had kissed before, but this one felt different. There was something about the way he looked at me that made my stomach swarm with butterflies. For a second, it felt like he loved me. Like I was his girl and the only one for him. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against mine.

“You're beautiful,” he whispered.

I couldn't stop smiling. The rest of the night was full of fun, and the music was on point even though we didn’t understand the words.

We danced, drank, and laughed all night.

Some people we met even had weed they were passing around.

I didn’t smoke, so I passed on that. I was tipsy and exhausted and ready to lay down.

Glancing at my phone, I saw that it was after four in the morning.

“Oh my God,” I laughed. “I'm starving, Evan.”

“Yeah, let’s get something to eat,” he replied.

After walking around for a few minutes, we found a little spot that was still open serving food.

“I think we should get it to go,” Evan said, looking around.

“Why?”

“We can eat it at the penthouse.”

“Okay.” I smiled.

Once we got our food we headed back to the penthouse and we wasted no time digging in.

After showering, we sexed each other down so good that I was seeing stars.

I was always sore afterwards since we’d only done it a few times.

Everyone thought I was still a virgin, and I would die on that hill because if they ever asked me, I would definitely tell them, “Yes, I am.”

For weeks, we partied and had a ball. We went to so many parties and even hit up a few raves which was my first time ever.

I called my parents every day and sent pictures.

Of course, I left Evan out of them. After a few weeks, my mom, aunt Ari, aunt Toya, and Grams decided to fly out to see me for a few days and we were having a blast. We took the train to London and did some much-needed shopping, visited café’s and even visited the museums. My favorite part about our trip was most definitely when we went to see Jane Austen’s house in Chawton, Hampshire.

Now they were leaving to go back home and even though I loved my family, I was glad because I wanted to see Evan.

My mom asked where Sherri and Marley were, and I lied and told her that their family was in town, so they were with them.

“I’ve had so much fun. I’m glad we could come out here to visit you baby girl,” My mom said as we stood down in the hotel lobby.

Our security was standing outside of the hotel waiting on the ladies to come out.

You would’ve thought the first lady was staying at the hotel.

My dad didn’t play when it came to his family.

I felt so guilty for lying to them, but I wanted to come out here so badly.

Evan didn’t have that problem; his parents let him do whatever he wanted.

“Ciera it’s time for us to go. I need to get on that plane so I can throw me one in the air.

These French people ain’t bout to lock my ass up.

Kari have fun girl but whatever you do don’t come home bringing one of these half-baked niggas with you.

Unless he looks like Leonardo DiCaprio or that damn Brad Pit.

Lawd, Brad fine as hell, and I’ll have me a mixed baby or two if I get hold of his ass,” Grams laughed and so did we.

“Love you, niece. Have an amazing time,” Aunt Ari told me and gave me a hug.

“Got damn these French men got fine in the water because look at that piece of meat,” Grams said as everybody turned to watch the guy walk by. He was cute.

“Bye, baby girl. I love you,” Aunt Toya said and her and Grams rushed outside behind the guy.

I fell out laughing as I hugged my mom and Aunt Ari one last time then they walked out of the hotel. I rushed upstairs to grab my things, and I headed right back out to go see Evan. We had plans to go out with some friends and I was so damn ready to see my boo.

I’d been in Paris for two months now and I swear I’d never partied so much in my life.

Our schooling started next week and most of my classmates have arrived in Paris, including Marley.

We were out partying all night, and I was now sick as a dog.

Nothing I ate or drank stayed down and I felt weak as hell.

I was at the penthouse with Evan and had been in bed all day.
