A firefighter just delivered my baby on the side of the highway.

I found out I was pregnant and decided to do it alone after I watched my mother chase a man who didn’t want to stay, and I swore I’d never do that.

Tonight, I was driving myself to the hospital when the contractions hit so hard I couldn’t see the road, so I pulled onto the shoulder and called for help.

A fire truck pulled up behind me and when the door opened he jumped out. He dropped to his knees and delivered my baby right there. When it was over, he gently placed her on my chest.
