Epilogue

Luna

A Little Over a Year Later

Settling into my chair, hugging Isabella closer to me. She blinks her pretty hazel eyes as she coos up at me.

“Are you hogging our daughter again, baby girl?” Ven drops into the seat at my side with a grin.

“I pushed her and her sister out of my vagina. Until one of you can say the same, I get all the baby time I want.”

Ven laughs, holding up his hands in surrender. “You’re right.”

“You want to hold her, don’t you?” At his nod, I roll my eyes and hand over my little bundle of joy. “I swear, you’re all just as obsessed with them as I am.”

He leans down to sniff her hair with a sigh. “Of course we are. They’re our daughters. Where is Josephine, anyway?”

I wave toward Knight, who’s holding our other almost four-month-old. “With her dad, just like always. He’s the real baby hog.”

Ven laughs again. “Let him have this, baby girl. He loves bragging to all of us about how he’s the one who got you pregnant during your heat—with not one but two babies.”

I laugh with him because I’ve heard those exact words come out of Knight’s mouth on more than one occasion. “He’s incorrigible.”

“Yeah, but it’s pretty damn cute.”

“It really is.”

I watch as Knight hands Josephine to Prescott, who sniffs her head just like Ven did to Isabella. We’re all obsessed with the new baby smell.

Who am I kidding? We’re just obsessed with our girls.

“I’m going to grab a drink. Do you want anything?”

He just shakes his head, his eyes never leaving our daughter.

My heart fills with love, as it always does when I watch one of my mates with our daughters. It doesn’t matter that they’re biologically Knight’s—they’re just our daughters, and I couldn’t love them more for it.

I push to my feet, only a little miffed when my alpha doesn’t acknowledge me leaving. He’s lucky I love him.

I walk down the street, stopping at a cooler to grab a bottle of water as I take in the chaos around me.

The entire city of Widows Peak shut down today to celebrate the Fourth of July, coming together for the biggest potluck and cookout this town has ever seen.

Our little town has grown so much over the last year. There are so many new faces, and I love how carefree everyone is.

Sure, there are still a few people lurking on the edges of the celebration, not feeling comfortable enough to join us, but they’ll come around—they always do.

I smile when I see a group of men wearing the Sinner’s Pride cut.

The Widows Peak chapter of Sinner’s Pride has added a few new faces this year as well. It’s awesome when they all get together, the sounds of their bikes filling our town and drawing people from their homes and businesses to watch them drive down the streets.

Our MC isn’t like the ones outside the city, and no one who lives in Widows Peak has anything to fear from them.

Now the people outside our town? They should quiver in their boots because my men don’t put up with any bullshit.

“Luna!”

I spin around just in time to catch Stacia as she throws herself into my arms. I laugh as I barely manage to keep us on our feet. “You’re in a good mood today.”

“Why wouldn’t I be? It’s gorgeous outside. Everyone’s together and celebrating. Plus, I’ve found my place and my people.”

Stacia followed us to Widows Peak a few months after her rescue. She was having a hard time readjusting and decided she needed a change.

My pack and I welcomed her with open arms, as did the rest of Widows Peak. Not only was she an omega in need, but she’s my sister.

“Where are my nieces?” she asks as she pulls back. “I need my baby fix.”

“Last I saw, Josephine was with Pres and your brother. I left Isabella with Ven, who I’m not sure even noticed I left.”

We laugh because it’s happened more than once.

“Well, let’s go hunt them down, shall we?” Stacia links her arm through mine and leads me back toward the way I came.

As we walk, a few people wave, and I easily return them with waves of my own.

Before I met my pack—besides Prescott—I know I had a reputation of being a grump. But things have changed since Fabian’s death. I no longer hold tight to the fear he’ll discover where I am, which turned out to be something I should’ve feared since he knew exactly where I was the entire time.

I no longer feel like I need to keep everyone besides the widows at arm’s length. I can be myself for the first time in thirteen years.

“There’s Ward!” Stacia squeals, veering off the sidewalk and dragging me with her.

I don’t bother fighting her, just laughing as I try to keep up with her fast pace.

She hasn’t called her brother by his road name since the day we went into heat, and I love it. It drives him crazy, which is the only reason she does it. I love their relationship, and I know it makes Knight feel better having her here in Widows Peak with us.

“Oh! They’re both here.” Stacia drops my hand, rushing toward Knight and Prescott, who each hold one of the girls. “Gimme.”

I swear, the only reason anyone talks to me these days is because of my girls. Not that I can blame them.

Knight scoffs. “That’s not how you ask to hold my daughter, Stacia.”

“Fuck you, Ward. Let me hold my niece.”

He turns, holding the baby away from Stacia.

“Knight,” I warn, and he shoots me a sheepish look over his shoulder before passing the baby to his sister.

“You have all of us wrapped around your little finger. You know that, right?” Christian wraps his arms around my waist and tugs me against his chest.

“No, our daughters have you wrapped around their little fingers. All of you keep forgetting about me.”

Mack growls, and I startle. I didn’t even hear him join us. “We never forget about you, Luna. How can we when you’re all we think about?”

“When you’re not thinking about each other and our daughters.

” I roll my eyes as he glares at me. “It’s okay, Mack.

I don’t actually think you’re forgetting about me.

Well, not usually. Sometimes you guys get a little wrapped up in Isabella and Josephine, and you completely forget the rest of the world exists—just like I do. ”

“So you’re not actually upset with us?” he asks, and I shake my head. “Good, because we love you.”

I can’t wipe the grin off my face as he leans in to kiss me.

The rest of my pack joins us, along with Stacia, who’s cooing at Josephine.

Love fills me as my eyes scan the crowd, finding each of the widows.

We built this together, and we’ve all found a way to be happy after the hell we went through.

I’m damn proud of us.
