6. Valentina #2

He does, watching my face while he works deeper. Max slides onto the bed near my left side and Calder takes the right, neither interfering with the line between Moreno and me. When Moreno is fully inside, he waits again.

I lift my hips. “You are taking this listening thing too literally.”

“You told me to listen.”

“I am telling you to move.”

The first thrust is controlled. The second is not as careful. By the third, he has found the pace I asked for without turning force into carelessness. His hand grips my hip hard enough that I will feel it tomorrow. I want the reminder.

Max kisses my shoulder and cups one breast, teasing my nipple between his fingers while Calder’s hand slips between my body and Moreno’s to touch me. They do not touch each other. Every line of contact ends at me.

The room becomes pressure and heat without losing shape. Moreno drives into me with blunt focus, eyes staying on mine whenever I can keep them open. Calder times his fingers to the motion instead of competing with it. Max speaks against my ear only when he has something worth saying.

“You look very sure now,” he murmurs.

I turn my head and bite his jaw. “I was sure when I walked in.”

“Good.”

Moreno’s rhythm changes. I feel the break in his control before I hear it in his breath.

“Don’t stop,” I tell him.

“I’m not.”

He keeps the pace until his body locks over mine, one hard exhale against my temple, then he slows instead of collapsing onto me. When he pulls out, he holds the condom at the base and disposes of it before returning to the bed.

The practical movement should kill the mood. It does not. It makes me trust the next one more.

Max stretches out on his back beside me. “My turn to be bossed around?”

“You were hoping.”

“I am an optimist.”

I straddle him.

His hands start toward my hips, then stop an inch away. “You driving?”

“Yes.”

“Excellent.”

I reach for another condom and put it on him, enjoying the way his mouth loses its grin when my hand closes around him. He reaches for me only after I guide his palms to my thighs.

“Stay there.”

He settles his hands exactly where I put them. “Look at me, developing discipline.”

I lower myself onto him.

Max’s eyes close for a second, then open because he clearly refuses to miss anything. I set the pace. He lets me. Every time I slow, he says something designed to make me prove I can do better.

“That all you’ve got?”

I lean down until our mouths nearly touch. “You are brave for a man I can leave right here.”

His grin returns. “You won’t.”

I stop moving.

The grin disappears.

Calder laughs quietly from the edge of the bed. Moreno’s hand settles at the back of my thigh, not moving me, only reminding me he is there.

Max looks up at me. “I withdraw the challenge.”

“Smart.”

“Growth.”

I start again, harder this time.

His hands flex against my thighs, obeying the boundary until I take one and put it at my waist. Then his control breaks enough to meet me from below.

The change sends pleasure through my body too quickly for another full orgasm, but it builds into something hot and sharp that keeps me chasing the rhythm until Max loses his joke entirely.

“Valentina.”

The way he says my name is not a claim. It is a warning.

“Go ahead,” I tell him.

He comes with both hands locked at my hips, keeping me steady while his breathing goes rough. I stay over him until the last movement fades, then lift away carefully. Max handles the condom himself and lies back with one forearm over his eyes.

“I have no clever statement,” he says.

“That bad?”

“That good. I need a minute.”

“Historic.”

Calder is still dressed from the waist down, which irritates me on principle.

“You,” I say.

He looks at me. “Me.”

“Take your trousers off before I begin to think you are doing paperwork in your head.”

“I am not.”

“Prove it.”

He stands and undresses with none of Max’s performance and none of Moreno’s severity. When he reaches for the condom, I stop him.

“Give it to me.”

He does.

I sit at the edge of the bed and roll it onto him slowly. Calder’s hand closes around the bedpost instead of my shoulder.

“You are very controlled,” I say.

“So I’ve been told.”

“Do you ever stop?”

His eyes meet mine. “Yes.”

There is enough weight in the answer that I stop teasing.

I lie back, and Calder comes over me. He does not enter. He kisses me first, slower than the others, one hand sliding along my ribs and down my hip until I am impatient enough to pull him closer.

“You wanted proof,” he says against my mouth.

“Of what?”

“That I can stop thinking.”

“This is still very articulate.”

His mouth moves to my throat. The next sentence I planned disappears.

Calder uses his hands with the same precision he brings to conversation, except there is nothing detached in it. He learns what Max already discovered, avoids what is tender after Moreno and Max, and keeps me hovering at the edge until irritation turns into need.

“Calder.”

“Yes?”

“Inside me.”

He looks up. “Say it again because you want it, not because I made you impatient.”

I catch his jaw and make him look directly at me. “I want you inside me.”

That is the end of careful distance.

He enters in one slow movement, giving my body time to take him after the others. When I tense, he pauses without retreating.

“Still good?”

“Yes. Move.”

He does.
