Chapter 36 Perry

PERRY

“I love your little baby bump,” Elsbeth says. The other Beta Bitches nod.

I’m not showing that much yet, but my crop top doesn’t sit like it’s supposed to and I had to size up my booty shorts, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

None of the Beta Bitches touch my stomach without asking. I nod when Elsbeth gives me the look, asking if she can touch. I don’t mind as long as people ask first.

“I can’t wait to meet your babies.” Carol rubs my belly like a crystal ball.

“Do you have names picked out?” Bette asks.

“Not yet. We have a few ideas, but we’re doing what Pax and Aaron do. Get the vibes of the baby before naming them.”

Carol nods. “Good call. Babies always know what names belong to them. You’ll regret it if you give the wrong one.”

Sometimes I’m not sure what Carol means, but I let it slide. Babies don’t know much of anything.

“Sorry I’m late!” Abel says, barreling in.

He’s in a crop top and leggings and his face is red from running.

“Aaron wanted to talk about doing something nice for the high school graduates in May next month.” He rolls his eyes.

“He really needs to work on his timing. But I love it.” Abel is thriving without Hawk Ridge hanging over him, and I love watching him blossom.

Plus, it doesn’t hurt that we’re all in therapy. We go as a trio and individually.

“I would have picked you up,” Buckle says from around the corner. He’s been here for twenty minutes looking at toys. He said I couldn’t ring him up because he didn’t want me knowing what he was getting. I told him I’d still see the receipt, so he agreed to let Molly write him up for freebies.

“I know, but sometimes it’s good to get some fresh air.” Abel grins when he sees the Beta Bitches fawning over my tiny baby bump. “So cute.”

“The party has arrived!” Aaron announces as he and Pax join the class. They’re both dressed in booty shorts and a t-shirt. My Alpha whistles and the three start dancing right there. The Beta Bitches start clapping out a tune. My Beta stands red-faced, watching the spectacle.

“Okay. Okay,” I say. “Let’s get the class started.”
