33. Epilogue #1
EPILOGUE #1
MAYLEE
D addy and she were walking down the sidewalk in the park. They did this at least once a week. It was an opportunity for them to be together and have a good time. They would talk and walk, or they would just walk in silence.
It also helped that the weather was nice.
“You know I love you, right?” Daddy asked.
Worry settled in her stomach. She didn’t like that he started this conversation this way. Was he planning on leaving? Was he dying? Did he have some incurable disease?
“Are you going on another high-security job?” she asked. “Do you have some type of disease that they don’t have a cure for? You can’t just start off a sentence like that and leave it at that. Please say something. You’re making me worried.”
Daddy should know by now not to say such things. She wasn’t stable enough for that. She didn’t know if she ever would.
“Lee, take a deep breath for me. That’s it. Such a good girl. Now slowly let it out. My good girl,” he said, calmly. “Daddy is not going on another high-security job. I told you, I told Justin I wasn’t doing those anymore. Second, I do not have a disease that they don’t have a cure for. You don’t need to worry about that either.”
“Then what could it be?” she asked. “Is it another big secret? I don’t know how much more I can handle.”
“Baby. You know my secrets. There’re no more secrets between us. Well, there is this one but it’s a good one.”
That didn’t help at all. If anything, it made her even more worried. He was keeping a secret from her? It had to be big if he was.
“Please, just tell me. I need to know,” she wailed.
“You’re okay. Let’s go over to this tree,” he suggested.
They went to the tree, and her worry continued to grow. Why was it taking him so long to tell her? Why couldn’t he just let her know?
“Nothing bad is going to happen. I promise. I just have a question to ask you,” Daddy said as they got closer to the tree.
They stopped right under the tree, and Daddy grabbed hold of her hands.
“This has been a long time coming.”
Maylee knew he wasn’t going to break up with her, but it was the only thing going through her mind. Her mind always went to the worst first.
Daddy got down on one knee and pulled something out from his pocket. Her breath got stuck in her throat as she realized what was happening.
“We’ve been through our ups and downs ever since we’ve known each other. I thought I lost you when you broke up with me, but then a second opportunity arose. I’ve loved you with my whole heart since you ran into me in elementary school. I didn’t know what it was back then but as we got older, I realized I love you,” Daddy said. “I know this speech isn’t the best. I’ll move on, but I wanted to ask you if you would marry me.”
Tears filled her eyes as she continued to stare at him. She’d always dreamed of him asking her to marry him, and it was finally coming true.
“Lee?”
“Sorry,” she whispered. “Yes! Yes, I will marry you!”
Daddy slipped the ring onto her finger before standing up and pulling her into his arms. Happiness filled her as he spun them around.
“I love you,” he said, gently.
“I love you, too.”
Giggles filled the house as Maylee ran out of the kitchen and into the living room.
“You stop right this instant!” Daddy yelled, but she could hear the playfulness in his voice. “You’re in so much trouble when I catch you!”
She continued to giggle and hid behind the couch. She might have been a little naughty and thrown flour on Daddy. It wasn’t her fault he looked so boring. She wanted to spice it up, and flour was the perfect thing. Or so she’d thought.
Before Daddy could do anything, she had run out of the kitchen, but the pure shock on his face was amazing. If only she was able to take a picture so it could last longer, but Maylee needed to get away from him.
“Maylee. Where are you?” Daddy asked.
She giggled and quickly clamped her hand over her mouth. Shit. She was going to get caught.
“Hmm, could she be under the table?” Daddy asked. “Maybe behind the chair?”
Maylee was trying so hard not to giggle. He was looking in all the wrong places.
“No, she isn’t there. Maybe she’s behind the lamp?”
She giggled this time. How could she be behind the lamp? It was so skinny.
“I don’t know where she could be. Maybe she disappeared, and I can’t see her anymore. How sad. I’m going to miss seeing my Lee every day.”
Her heart ached for Daddy as he said those words, and before she could stop herself, she popped out from behind the couch. “I’m here, Daddy!” she yelled.
“My days aren’t going to be as bright now. She was the light of my world.”
“Daddy! I’m right here!” She waved her hands in the air.
But Daddy didn’t look at her. Why wasn’t he looking at her? Had she really gone invisible?
He started to turn around and panic shot through her.
“Daddy!” she yelled as she ran toward him. Maylee stood right in front of him. “I’m here! I’m right in front of you!”
Before she knew it, Daddy had wrapped his arms around her. “Got you,” he whispered .
She screamed and tried to get out of his arms.
“You tricked me!”
“I really couldn’t find you. You are so good at hiding,” Daddy said.
“I was behind the couch!”
Maylee looked at Daddy and couldn’t help but laugh. He was still covered in flour.
“You’re so silly, Daddy.”
“Maybe I am, but I’m your silly Daddy.”
She sighed and rested her head on his flour-covered chest. Flour from his arms already dusted her, but at this point, she didn’t care.
“Now, spanking time,” Daddy said.
“What! No!” she whined. “No spankies!”
“Yes, spankies. You know that was naughty,” he replied.
“But, Daddy, I was just trying to make you look better. You looked a little boring, and the flour really helped.”
“Brat.”
She giggled and pulled away from his arms. “But no spankies. No deserve it.”
“Oh yes, you do.”
Maylee shook her head. “I is a good girl.”
“You are a good girl, but good girls can be naughty,” Daddy informed her. “You aren’t getting out of this spanking.”
She pouted. Maylee didn’t want a spanking.
“You’re going to stand in the corner while Daddy cleans himself up. Then we’ll get to the spanking. You know how it goes. Pants and underwear off, bottom sticking out, shirt not covering your bottom, and nose in the corner. No sounds unless you need to say your safeword.”
Maylee nodded, headed to the corner, and did what he said. She’d only been in this corner a few occasions, but every time it was boring. She didn’t want to have corner time.
It seemed like an eternity with her on display in the corner. Sometimes, she felt as if Daddy sat and watched her. That always turned her on.
“You may turn around,” Daddy said.
Maylee immediately did so and approached him. If she ran, she was going to get into even more trouble.
“You are also getting in trouble for running in the house,” Daddy patted his thigh. “You know running in the house is a no-no, and yet you still did it.”
She hung her head. Okay, so every rule had flown out of her mind when she’d thrown the flour on Daddy. It wasn’t her fault there were so many rules.
“It’s going to be a quick but hard spanking,” Daddy said as she laid herself over his lap.
Taking a deep breath, she tried to relax somewhat. Daddy said tensing up only made it worse, but she didn’t know about that. In her opinion, being relaxed made it hurt worse.
The first swat happened before she could totally relax. She yelled in pain and tried to wiggle off his lap. He hadn’t been joking when he said it was going to be quick and hard. Apparently, there was no time for warming up.
Daddy continued to spank her, not giving her a second to be able to breathe. Tears streamed down her face as Daddy continued. What she’d done was naughty. In the back of her mind, she understood throwing flour wasn’t okay and running in the house was a no-no.
“Please,” she begged. “No more!”
Daddy grabbed onto her hands before she could move them. She had a habit of moving her hands when Daddy was spanking her. It was a bad habit.
“Almost done,” Daddy said.
Her bottom was throbbing as he spanked her. How much more was he going to do?
Daddy landed several smacks on her sit spots, which made her cry out in pain.
“Please,” she begged but Daddy didn’t stop.
Several more swats landed on her sit spots, and she went limp in Daddy’s lap, crying. Daddy immediately stopped and maneuvered her so she was sitting in his lap. She snuggled into his chest and cried.
“Such a good girl. All is forgiven now,” Daddy said as he rubbed her back.
She cried into his chest for several minutes before she started to calm down.
“All is forgiven,” Daddy reminded her. “You feeling okay?”
She shook her head. “My bottom hurts,” she whimpered.
“It’s supposed to. Remind you not to throw flour at Daddy again and run in the house.”
Maylee sighed but nodded. Was she going to learn her lesson? Maybe for a few days, but she would be right back to running in the house and possibly throwing flour on Daddy.
“Now, let’s go clean up the mess,” Daddy said.
She groaned. She should have known Daddy would make her clean it up.
