Chapter 24
Body thrumming, Nate did everything he could not to come right into Alex’s hands. Between her soft touch and sexy expression, he was a goner. However, his cock was where it needed to be. She was ready, wet, and willing. All he had to do was push into her hot, silky entrance.
He did, and it was absolute heaven.
As soon as his cock’s head was through, he gritted his teeth at the sensation of the tight, slick warmth that engulfed him. Pressing further, he slid farther into her and growled animalistically as his dick was strangled in her warmth.
“You’re so damned tight,” he groaned.
“And you feel really good.”
“That’s awesome because I’m about to fill you completely. You let me know if I hurt you.”
“Yes.” She nodded, shutting her eyes and throwing her head back on the bed in pleasure.
Nate drove home, hitting the end of her. She let out a tiny cry, and he held himself still, allowing her to adjust to his girth.
“Still okay?” he asked.
“If you don’t start moving soon…” she muttered.
“Okay! Okay!”
Nate chuckled deeply and withdrew almost all the way out before he pushed in again.
He picked up a slow and steady rhythm, watching Alex closely as he went.
She looked beautiful, sexy, in absolute bliss.
He dragged his pelvis along her clit as he pumped, and she bucked into him, rubbing deliciously.
Her pussy tightened, and he had to focus not to come right there.
“Feels good,” she panted.
He continued pistoning into her, leaning his head into her neck and dragging his teeth along her hot skin. She nuzzled into him, continuing to meet his thrusts.
Nate tried to go slow, but as his orgasm continued to build, Alex kept spurring him on as she met him thrust for thrust. He was driving into her harder, and she grabbed for anything she could hold onto: a bicep, his hair, his neck. She even scratched into the skin with her manicured nails.
It was only a few moments later when she detonated.
She cried out, her pussy spasming. Her orgasm caused a ripple effect.
Nate lost the last of his control and slammed into her a few last times before his own release came, and he emptied himself inside of her.
He grunted as each pulse of cum left him, pleasure racing through his body.
Pure bliss.
Seconds later, Nate realized he had stopped and was on top of Alex, breathing hard. He stared into her eyes, taking a hand and cupping her face. He kissed her tenderly with everything he had left. This had been the best moment of his life, and he needed her to understand that.
When the kiss broke, she whispered, “I didn’t know it could be like that.” Her eyes got glassy, and a tear fell down one cheek.
Ah, hell. This was supposed to be a good experience. There weren’t supposed to be tears. Maybe these were good tears?
“Hey. It’s okay,” he soothed as he reluctantly pulled out of her, flipped to the side, and pulled her into his arms.
“I know,” she said, quickly wiping the wetness from her eyes. “I’m not sad. I’m happy.” She smiled. “You were perfect.”
Pride welled up in Nate’s chest. He’d take the grade of “perfect” any day.
“You were pretty fucking amazing yourself,” he told her, grinning. “But I’m still going to make sure you’re one hundred percent okay with what we just did.”
“I am,” she promised. “These are healing tears. I was afraid to have sex because of panic attacks. I didn’t think it would be like this. I didn’t think I could trust anyone like I do with you.”
Trust. She trusted him. Nate could never take that for granted. Whatever happened between them with the mission, his possible future status as a free man, and the whole AI issues with Sally, he had to keep that trust intact. No matter what.
They stayed silent for a long time. Nate held her close, enjoying the moment. It was when Alex’s stomach growled loudly that they stirred.
“We should probably fix that,” Nate said, chuckling.
Alex laughed and said, “I don’t believe my stomach made that noise.”
“You worked up an appetite,” he said, winking. She grinned. “Come on. Let’s get you cleaned up and see what we can do about the food situation.”
“I’m down for that.”
As Nate grabbed a washcloth and gently wiped the mess he had made inside of her, all he could do was grin. This was the happiest he had ever been, but he knew his life could never be too good. Eventually, something would happen, and this would all come to a tumbling end.

“Well, look harder!” Douglas Sims exclaimed as he hastily ended the call to the private investigator he had hired to sniff out Nathan Slade.
Nothing was working. There was no trace of Slade—at least none that his PI could find. Sims would have to find someone else. He’d have to be careful, though, because if he asked the wrong person, word could get back to Victor, and then he’d really be in trouble.
It didn’t help that all the security cameras had been fed through a loop at the time of the escape.
The cameras around the area either didn’t show anything or were mysteriously erased.
Nathan had help. Sims had no clue who it was.
The Conglomerate never told him anything more than he needed to know, so attempting to find Slade was truly the proverbial needle in the haystack.
Slade had turned into a ghost, and Sims had to find him before someone from the Conglomerate found out.
The one possible lead they may have had was contacting his former secretary to see if she saw anything.
She had left around the window when Slade had escaped.
Unfortunately, when the investigator had gone to her house, it was now up for rent.
The bitch had moved out, and the number for the rental was an automated system.
Then again, Sims couldn’t get a straight answer whether she had gone missing or not.
The only thing Sims could figure out was that she had been spooked after he got handsy with her, and her family had panicked and called the cops.
Yet, there was no police report for it, at least none that his PI could find.
Regardless, Sims figured he might hear from her eventually, possibly with lawyers in tow.
He’d be able to get information from her then.
Right now, Sims had to find Nathan and fast. If Victor found him first, Sims was a dead man.

A beeping sound blared in Alex’s ears. She opened her eyes and raised her head off the pillow to look and see it was her backup clock alarm going off.
Why was that on? Her phone alarm should have gotten her up.
Where was her phone? Movement stirred from beside her, and she turned to see Nathan turn toward her, his eyes opening slightly.
“You gonna turn that thing off?” he asked.
“I…” she began, trying to clear her head of the fogginess of sleep. “Where is my phone?”
“Probably downstairs. We were kind of in a hurry to get back to the bedroom after we ate because…you know.”
Oh, yes. Alex knew. They had done a second round, and it was as amazing as the first time.
“Yeah,” she said, reaching over to turn off the secondary alarm. She sat back momentarily before it dawned on her. “Oh, my gosh! I’m running late! My clock alarm is set twenty minutes after my last phone alarm.”
“How many alarms do you set?” Nathan asked, an eyebrow raised.
Alex rolled out of bed, feeling a delicious soreness between her legs.
“Uh, five?”
Shaking his head, Nathan told her, “Get going to work. I’m going to spend some quality time with Sally and see what else I can get from her.”
“Oh, joy,” she joked as she trotted to the bathroom.
After taking the fastest shower in the history of showers, Alex dressed and was out the door, foregoing breakfast and coffee.
She could get something at Gray Tower. Thankful that traffic wasn’t horrible, Alex pulled into her designated parking space on the deck and practically ran inside the building, stopping at the checkpoints when necessary.
Once she got to her desk, she looked at her smartwatch and groaned. She was indeed ten minutes late. For normal people, that wouldn’t be an issue. For her, people would talk, and that was the last thing that she needed.
Alex barely set her purse down before Miles strolled out of his office and said, “I need to speak with you.”
Why? Why does he have to make it so hard?
The problem was that she knew he wasn’t mad at her for being late. He’d want to know what was wrong and remedy it. He’d automatically assume it was about her kidnapping and then put her on leave.
It was worth it, though. Last night was life-changing, and she would do it again in a heartbeat.
She followed Miles into his office, staring at the floor.
“Shut the door,” he said sharply, and she practically jumped.
Maybe he knew that she was up to something? Maybe he found out about the super suit codes?
Anxiety washed over her, and her heart began to thump hard in her chest. She could feel sweat start to trickle down the back of her blouse, despite the cold air conditioning, and she tried to take a few deep breaths to calm herself.
“Sit, please,” he said as he pointed to one of the guest chairs.
Instead of sitting at his desk, he sat in one of the other chairs next to the seat she selected. What was going on?
“Are you…okay?” Miles questioned carefully.
Alex bit her lip, wondering what she could say to get him off her back without giving much away.
“I’m doing all right. I promise.”
Miles shut his eyes and breathed deeply. When he opened them, they were glassy.
“You’ve just been…different since you were kidnapped. I need to make sure you’re okay.”
“I’m okay.”
Besides the fact that I’m helping a former Conglomerate soldier destroy a bunch of super suits, and his suit has a conscious AI that could destroy humanity, for all we know.
“But there is something going on,” he said.
It wasn’t a question. He knew.
“Yes.”
Miles leaned back in his chair.
