The Sweet, Secret Sacrifice
The plan went into action the very next morning. The moment the front door clicked shut and Adrian left for his grueling shift at the tech firm, the quiet apartment transformed into Luciel’s private sanctuary.
With his hormone suppressants officially sitting in the trash, Luciel’s body responded with a terrifying, overwhelming ferocity.
His prolactin levels surged, unlocking a heavy, constant rush of milk.
He had traded his usual snug t-shirts for loose, oversized button-down shirts—a strategic choice that allowed him to quickly unbutton a few tabs whenever Kai began to fuss.
“Are you hungry, little guy?” Luciel whispered tenderly, sitting back on the soft living room sofa.
Kai let out a tiny, eager whimper. Luciel quickly unbuttoned his shirt, peeling back the heavy, completely soaked nursing pad. The moment the sweet scent filled the air, Kai didn’t hesitate. He latched on instantly, his tiny hands pressing firmly against Luciel’s chest.
“Ah...” Luciel gasped softly, his fingers gripping the edge of the sofa cushions.
The physical reality of full-time nursing was a shock to his system.
Kai sucked aggressively, driven by a newborn’s frantic hunger.
Within minutes, Luciel’s sensitive, pale pink nipples were pulled and tugged until they turned a deep, angry crimson.
It was physically painful, a sharp, stinging ache that shot straight through his chest.
Yet, as he looked down at his nephew, watching the baby’s eyes close in absolute bliss as he gulped down the warm, rich fluid, a wave of profound, beautiful warmth washed over Luciel’s heart.
The pain didn’t matter. Kai was eating. Kai was safe.

By the end of the week, the change in Kai was nothing short of miraculous. The dullness in his bright green eyes vanished, replaced by a healthy, vibrant spark. His cheeks filled out, turning a soft, healthy baby pink, and his constant, distressed crying completely stopped.
When Adrian came home on Friday evening, he dropped his briefcase in astonishment. He rushed over to the crib, watching Kai happily play with his own little toes, letting out sweet, bubbly coos.
“Luciel! Look at him!” Adrian breathed, a massive, brilliant smile breaking across his handsome, tired face.
He lifted Kai into his broad arms, kissing the baby’s cheek before turning his green eyes toward Luciel, completely awestruck.
“He’s growing so fast! His fever hasn’t come back, his stomach isn’t bloated... God, he looks so healthy. What happened? How did you do this?”
Luciel, who was currently standing by the stove with his arms crossed tightly over his aching, heavily engorged chest, forced a nervous laugh. His heart hammered against his ribs.
“Oh, you know... I just did some deep research,” Luciel lied smoothly, his voice squeaking slightly as a sudden tingle bloomed beneath his button-down shirt.
“I found a highly specialized, hypo-allergenic organic formula at an import boutique downtown. It’s designed specifically for infants with extreme digestive sensitivities. It... uh, it mimics natural breast milk perfectly.”
“An import formula?” Adrian repeated, shaking his head in pure gratitude. He walked over, placing a heavy, warm hand on Luciel’s shoulder. “Luciel, you’re a lifesaver. Seriously. I was losing my mind, and you found the cure. How much was it? Let me pay you back.”
“No! No, don’t worry about it,” Luciel stammered quickly, stepping back to break the contact before Adrian could feel the heat radiating from his body.
“The boutique sends it in plain, sterile medical bags, so I just prep it when you’re not around. It’s totally fine, Adrian. Just be glad he’s healthy.”
“I am,” Adrian said softly, his green eyes softening with a deep, lingering gaze that made Luciel’s stomach flip. “I don’t know what I would do without you.”
----
But the lie came with a heavy, deeply personal cost.
Late that night, after Adrian and Kai were both fast asleep, Luciel locked himself in the bathroom. He took a deep breath and slowly unbuttoned his shirt, facing his reflection under the harsh bathroom light.
The doctor hadn’t been kidding about the body changes.
Without the medication to suppress the massive influx of prolactin, Luciel’s body was actively shifting.
He looked down, his breath catching in his throat.
His chest was no longer flat and masculine; his breasts had become noticeably puffy, rounded, and heavy, holding a soft, distinct weight.
His nipples, once small and pale, were now perpetually hard, swollen, and a dark, sensitive rose color, straining against the air.
But it wasn’t just his chest. Luciel reached up, running his fingers over his jawline.
For the past few days, he hadn’t needed to shave at all.
His already sparse facial hair had completely stopped growing, his testosterone levels suppressed by the overwhelming surge of the nursing hormone.
His pale skin felt incredibly soft, almost velvety, and the contours of his face were softening, making his big blue eyes look even larger and more striking.
Standing there in the quiet night, with his blonde hair falling over his face, he looked startlingly, undeniably feminine. He looked more like his twin sister than he ever had in his entire life.
Luciel touched his swollen chest, a stray tear slipping down his cheek. He was losing pieces of his own identity to save his sister’s abandoned child. He was trapped in a beautiful, painful secret, terrified of what would happen if Adrian ever looked closely enough to see the truth.
