The Gravity of Your Touch

The shift in their household happened in the quietest ways imaginable.

Now that the agonizing burden of the secret was gone, a strange, beautiful domesticity settled over the apartment.

The forced arrangement had dissolved, leaving behind a raw, fragile intimacy that neither man quite knew how to name, but both were completely powerless to resist.

With his hormone suppressants entirely out of his system, Luciel’s body continued its soft, irreversible transformation.

He looked less like the boyish barista who had moved in two weeks ago and more like an ethereal, breathtakingly delicate anchor for their fragile family.

His skin remained impossibly smooth and velvety, his blue eyes seemed larger and brighter, and his chest carried a heavy, constant fullness that required him to wear loose, unbuttoned flannel shirts almost exclusively.

And Adrian was noticing. He was noticing everything.

It started with the looks. Every time Luciel sat on the living room sofa, unbuttoning his shirt with practiced, casual ease to let a hungry Kai latch onto his swollen, rose-colored nipples, Adrian’s green eyes would lock onto them.

He no longer watched out of mere medical curiosity or shock.

He watched because he couldn’t physically force himself to look away.

One rainy Tuesday evening, Adrian came home from a particularly grueling day at the tech firm.

The CEO had been frantic, the servers were temperamental, and Adrian’s shoulders were wound so tight they felt like granite.

But the moment he stepped through the door, the sharp scent of vanilla, baby powder, and warm, sweet milk washed over him, instantly draining the tension from his spine.

He walked into the living room and found Luciel exactly where he always was—cradling Kai against his bare, heavy chest. The baby was nursing strongly, making those tiny, satisfied gulping sounds that always filled Adrian with a profound sense of relief.

“Hey,” Adrian said softly, his voice gravelly with exhaustion as he loosened his tie and dropped his briefcase.

Luciel looked up, a soft, radiant smile breaking across his freckled face. “Hey. You’re home late. Did the server migration go okay?”

“Barely,” Adrian sighed, walking over and collapsing onto the opposite end of the sofa. He leaned his head back against the cushions, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them to look at Luciel.

Luciel was leaning back, his shirt draped open.

Kai was aggressively pulling on his right breast, and Luciel let out a sharp, quiet gasp, his fingers instantly tightening in the fabric of the sofa.

His pale pink skin was flushed with a soft warmth, and a stray drop of white milk was slowly tracing a path down the heavy, rounded slope of his breast, pooling right where the fabric of his unbuttoned shirt met his skin.

Adrian’s throat went completely dry. His green eyes darkened as he tracked the slow journey of that single, milky drop.

A sudden, heavy heat bloomed deep in his chest—a feeling that had absolutely nothing to do with his sister, and everything to do with the incredible, beautiful man sitting inches away from him.

“Is he... is he feeding well tonight?” Adrian asked, his voice dropping an octave, sounding thicker than usual.

“Yeah,” Luciel whispered, his cheeks flushing a deeper shade of crimson under Adrian’s intense, unblinking gaze.

He reached down, his slender fingers gently wiping the stray droplet of milk from his skin.

“He’s been a little greedy today, actually. My chest has been so engorged and heavy all afternoon. The moment he latched, the pressure release was... well, it was a relief, but he’s pulling really hard. It stings.”

Adrian frowned slightly, a wave of protective instinct overtaking his sudden desire. He shifted closer on the sofa, his large, muscular frame bridging the distance between them until his thigh was brushing against Luciel’s.

“Does it still hurt that much?” Adrian asked, his hand reaching out instinctively, hovering just inches away from Luciel’s exposed, milk-flushed skin before resting gently on the young man’s knee.

Luciel shivered at the contact, his big blue eyes widening as he looked at Adrian. “Just... just the initial minutes. Once the let-down reflex fully kicks in, it softens up. But because my body is producing so much now, the skin gets really tight and sensitive.”

Adrian stared at the dark rose nipple disappearing into Kai’s tiny, eager mouth.

He felt a sudden, terrifying urge to reach out and cup the heavy, rounded weight of Luciel’s breast himself—to use his large, warm hands to massage away the painful tightness that Luciel was enduring just to keep his son alive.

He wanted to soothe him. He wanted to protect him.

I’m falling for him, Adrian realized, the thought striking his mind with the force of a tidal wave.

It wasn’t because Luciel looked like Lucy.

In fact, Adrian realized with absolute clarity, he hadn’t thought about Lucy in days.

Lucy was a ghost of a life that never truly existed—a woman who had taken her freedom and left chaos in her wake.

But Luciel... Luciel was real. Luciel was the warmth in the apartment, the soft laughter in the mornings, the beautiful, selfless soul who had given up his own body’s identity to nurse a child that wasn’t his.

Adrian wasn’t looking at a replacement for his ex-wife. He was looking at the man he wanted.

“Adrian?” Luciel murmured softly, his voice snapping Adrian out of his trance. Luciel was looking at him with a mixture of confusion and a quiet, breathless vulnerability. “You’re... you’re staring really intently. Is something wrong?”

Adrian swallowed hard, his hand tightening slightly on Luciel’s knee before he reluctantly drew it back. “Nothing’s wrong, Luciel. I was just... thinking about how lucky we are to have you.”

Luciel looked down, his pale skin burning hot with embarrassment, a sweet, shy smile tucking at the corners of his lips. “I’m lucky too, Adrian. I... I like being here. With you. And Kai.”

----

A few nights later, the domestic peace was tested by a sudden, intense thunderstorm. Flash floods of rain lashed against the large glass windows of the apartment, and violent cracks of thunder rattled the walls.

Predictably, Kai woke up at 2:00 AM, screaming in absolute terror at the roaring sky.

Luciel was out of bed in an instant. Bleary-eyed and exhausted, he stumbled into the nursery, unbuttoning his loose flannel shirt as he walked. He scooped a sobbing, shaking Kai out of his crib, holding him tight against his chest.

“Shh, shh, it’s okay, little bird,” Luciel cooed, his voice thick with sleep as he sat heavily in the rocking chair. “It’s just a little rain. Uncle Lu’s got you. Come here.”

The moment Kai’s face brushed against Luciel’s bare chest, the sweet, comforting scent of milk instantly cut through the baby’s panic. Kai latched on aggressively, his tiny hands gripping Luciel’s skin for dear life as another loud crack of thunder boomed outside.

“Ah...” Luciel gasped, the sudden, rough pull making his chest ache intensely. He leaned his head back against the wooden slats of the rocker, his blonde hair messy, his breathing ragged as he tried to soothe the frantic infant.

The nursery door opened quietly, and Adrian stepped inside.

He was wearing nothing but a pair of gray sweatpants, his broad, muscular chest and defined shoulders bare, his dark hair disheveled from sleep.

He looked incredibly imposing, yet his green eyes were entirely soft as they found Luciel in the darkness.

“Is he okay?” Adrian whispered, stepping into the room and kneeling right beside the rocking chair.

“He’s just terrified of the thunder,” Luciel whispered back, his voice exhausted. He didn’t even try to cover himself anymore; he trusted Adrian completely. “He’s nursing for comfort right now more than hunger. He’s holding onto me so tightly.”

Adrian reached up, his large, calloused hand gently wrapping around Kai’s tiny, trembling back, rubbing soothing circles. At the same time, his knuckles accidentally brushed against the soft, swollen underside of Luciel’s breast.

Luciel let out a sharp, involuntary intake of breath, his entire body shuddering at the casual touch.

Adrian froze, his green eyes locking onto Luciel’s in the dim light of the nursery’s nightlight. The physical proximity was dizzying. Adrian could smell the deep, intoxicating scent of warm milk radiating from Luciel’s skin, mixed with the clean, sweet scent of Luciel himself.

“Luciel,” Adrian murmured, his voice rough and incredibly low. “Does it... does it bother you? When I’m close like this?”

Luciel’s heart was hammering so loudly he was terrified Adrian could hear it over the storm. He stared into those deep green eyes, feeling a profound, dangerous pull in his stomach.

“No,” Luciel whispered honestly, his blue eyes wide and vulnerable. “It doesn’t bother me, Adrian. It... it actually makes me feel safe. My body... it changes so much every day, and I feel so different, but when you’re next to me, I don’t feel like a freak. I just feel... needed.”

Adrian’s grip on the rocking chair tightened.

The sheer vulnerability in Luciel’s voice almost broke his resolve.

He wanted nothing more than to lean forward, to press his lips against Luciel’s soft, flushed mouth, to tell him that he didn’t just need him for Kai—that he needed him for himself.

He wanted to tell him that he was completely, utterly captivated by every single change in his body, that he found his soft, milk-filled curves absolutely beautiful, and that he was falling deeply in love with him.

But he stopped himself. The weight of the divorce papers, the shadow of Lucy’s abandonment, and the fragile stability of their current life precariously hung in the balance.

He didn’t want to scare Luciel. He didn’t want Luciel to think he was just looking for a replacement, or that he was taking advantage of his kindness.

So, Adrian practiced restraint.

“You are needed, Luciel,” Adrian said softly, his voice thick with unexpressed emotion. “More than you will ever know.”

He stayed there, kneeling on the hard floor by the rocking chair for the next hour, his hand resting protectively over Kai and Luciel, until the storm outside finally rolled away, leaving behind a quiet, rain-slicked night.

----

By 4:00 AM, the apartment was completely still.

Kai had finally fallen into a deep, milk-drunk slumber, completely satisfied and dead to the world.

Luciel, utterly drained from the emotional toll of the storm and the physical demands of the late-night feeding, hadn’t even had the energy to carry the baby back to the crib or walk to his own bedroom.

Adrian walked into the living room to find them both passed out on the large sofa.

Luciel was lying on his back, his head tilted to the side, his beautiful blonde hair fanning across the throw pillows.

His oversized flannel shirt was still completely unbuttoned, draped open to reveal his soft, rounded chest.

Kai was curled up safely in the crook of Luciel’s left arm, his tiny head resting against his uncle’s ribs.

Because Luciel was fast asleep, his body had relaxed completely, causing a gentle, uncontrolled let-down.

Two thin, glistening white streams of milk had trickled from his dark rose nipples, pooling in the soft dip of his collarbone and creating small, damp, transparent patches on his shirt.

In the pale moonlight streaming through the window, Luciel looked completely defenseless, a soft, ethereal creature who had given everything of himself to mend a broken family.

Adrian walked over, his footsteps completely silent. He stood over the sofa for a long moment, his chest aching with a love so fierce it physically pained him.

He bent down slowly, carefully slipping his arms under a sleeping Kai.

With practiced, gentle movements, Adrian lifted the heavy, sleeping baby away from Luciel’s side, ensuring he didn’t wake the exhausted young man.

He carried Kai down the hallway, tucked him into his crib, and pulled the blanket over his tiny shoulders.

“Sleep well, son,” Adrian whispered, kissing Kai’s forehead before turning back to the living room.

When he returned to the sofa, Luciel hadn’t moved. He had shifted slightly, letting out a soft, sweet little sigh in his sleep, his bare chest rising and falling in a slow, rhythmic pattern. The faint trails of white milk still glistened on his pale, freckled skin.

Adrian stepped closer, his large frame casting a long shadow over the couch.

He sat down on the edge of the coffee table directly opposite Luciel, just staring at him.

He looked at the soft jawline, the beautiful, long eyelashes resting against his pale cheeks, and the heavy, milk-filled breasts that bore the marks of his son’s hunger.

A profound, suffocating tenderness gripped Adrian’s heart. He couldn’t confess yet. The timing wasn’t right, and Luciel deserved a proper, beautiful courtship when the chaos settled. But Adrian couldn’t leave this room without showing a fraction of the devotion burning inside his soul.

Slowly, carefully, Adrian leaned forward over the sleeping man. He supported his weight by placing one large hand on the back of the sofa, right next to Luciel’s blonde hair.

He held his breath, minimizing his movements so he wouldn’t wake him. He lowered his face until he could feel the soft, warm, milk-sweet breath escaping Luciel’s parted lips.

Instead of kissing his mouth, Adrian hovered for a second, his green eyes closing as he gently, reverently pressed his lips against Luciel’s soft, warm forehead.

The kiss was feather-light, a silent, sacred vow pressed into the pale, freckled skin.

Thank you, Adrian thought against Luciel’s skin, his heart swelling with an unspoken passion. Thank you for saving my boy. Thank you for saving me. I am going to spend the rest of my life making sure you know how loved you are.

Adrian lingered for a long, breathless moment, the warmth of Luciel’s skin seeping into his lips. As he slowly pulled away, Luciel stirred slightly, letting out a tiny, contented murmur in his sleep, his hand moving unconsciously to rest over his heavy, aching chest.

Adrian smiled, a soft, devastatingly tender look that he had never given another human being in his life. He reached down, grabbed a plush fleece blanket from the back of the sofa, and carefully draped it over Luciel’s bare, milk-damp chest, tucking him in safely against the cool night air.

He didn’t go back to his own bedroom. Instead, Adrian sat down in the armchair across from the sofa, keeping a silent, fiercely protective vigil over the sleeping man who held his entire world in the quiet, messy, and milky-sweet palm of his hand.
