Chapter 41
Jay,
You just left to go to your band meeting. I’m really proud of you.
I think a big reason you’ve harbored so much of your darkness is because you refuse to feel anything. That sounds like it doesn’t make sense. Let me reword that: you’ve always wanted to hide yourself away from hard things in order to not feel as bad. It’s always made you feel worse though.
Today, you’ve decided the band no longer serves you, and that’s a really brave thing to say. I mean, you are facing the hard thing. I can tell your mind’s made up. Wicked Smile will be no more here soon. I just hope you’re ready to break the news to Ari when he recovers.
I can’t wait to see what your next steps are.
You’re too good to quit music indefinitely.
I honestly think leaving Wicked Smile behind will skyrocket you.
And by skyrocket, I mean that you become a huge solo artist or you and Ari become the next Twenty One Pilots or maybe you even just start dedicating more of your life to your needs and keep things simple.
Any decision you make will be the right one as long as it is benefitting you.
You’re so much stronger than you think.
I love you,
A
