Chapter 4 #4

Probably nothing. The guy was most likely out there, stringing along another man.

Luca would like to get his hands on this so-called boy. To show him that fucking around with people’s feelings was wrong.

He was pretty sure that Brad hadn’t shared his secret with anyone else. Not Josh or James. Sure, they could be keeping the information to themselves, but Luca doubted it. Brad didn’t seem like the sharing sort, after all.

Maybe Brad’s back and forth meant that Brad wasn’t done with being a Daddy as much as he thought he was. With every interaction between the two of them Brad’s Daddyness was more pronounced.

If being a little was something inside Luca that was as natural as breathing, wouldn’t the same be said for the Daddies? Brad could push down the need inside him, yet it was still there. Still came out when Brad was with Luca.

Perhaps Luca wasn’t setting himself up for failure. Surely, the connection and pull between the two of them was strong enough to mean something. What it meant, Luca wasn’t sure. All Luca was sure of was he wanted Brad. And wasn’t ready to stop whatever craziness was happening.

Could Brad change his mind and be the Daddy that he’d once been?

Was there a way for Luca to show Brad that not all men were like his ex? That there were guys out there like Luca who loved being little as much as they loved everything else in their life.

It might take time but a plan was already beginning to form.

And if Luca was going to pull this off, he knew just who he could drag into this. Josh didn’t need to know all the details. He’d help Luca. It would be perfect.

A small giggle escaped as Luca finished off his breakfast.

Watch out Daddy, Luca thought, I’m coming for you.

“Luca!”

Luca snapped his head around, nearly falling off the massage table at the shout of his name. No way! No freaking way! “Marco?”

His brother pushed past a few of the surfers that had turned toward him at his shout and raced toward Luca.

Opening his arms, Luca was bowled back as Marco threw himself into him. Luca closed his arms around his brother and closed his eyes. He hadn’t seen his family since Christmas, although if he was honest, the only member he missed was Marco.

A shadow fell over them and Luca opened his eyes and looked up.

Marco’s big scary partner was hovering at their side, glaring around at anyone who was looking in their direction.

Luca pulled back but kept Marco under his arm and greeted the other man. “Hey, Skinner.”

Skinner turned those dark eyes toward him and nodded. “Hello, Luca. You look well.”

He stifled a laugh. Skinner was always so formal, even around Luca and the rest of the family.

But Luca had also seen how gentle and sweet Skinner was with Marco when no one else was around.

Luca might have been hiding in the bushes outside at Christmas when Skinner and Marco had arrived.

He’d seen more than he’d ever wanted of his brother yet had been pleased seeing how much Skinner loved Marco.

“What are the two of you doing here?” Luca asked. Not that he wasn’t happy to see his brother.

Marco leaned into his side. “Skinner had a job close by and offered to bring me along so I could see you.”

Luca raised a brow. Officially, he had no idea what Skinner did for a job.

No one talked about Skinner and his friends.

Except Skinner had pulled Luca to the side and given Luca his number and those of Skinner’s teammates.

Skinner had told Luca to call if he ever had any trouble.

Any trouble at all. The words might have been innocent enough but the dark look that Skinner gave him had clued Luca in fast.

There was darkness in the world. Luca knew that as much as anyone else. He might lead a privileged and nice life but Luca knew that wasn’t the same for anyone. For people like Dawson.

When Todd had crossed a line the day before, Luca had meant the words he used a threat. He knew people that could make Todd disappear.

“A job?” Luca tickled the side of his brother’s ribs. “Something you want to tell me?”

Skinner growled. “I would never put your brother in danger.” There was something dark in the words.

“It’s okay, sir.” Marco abandoned Luca to wrap both arms around his man’s waist. “He’s just teasing.”

Skinner sniffed.

Okay, time to change the subject. Fast. “How long can you stay?” he asked.

“Just popping in today to see you compete,” Marco answered. “Then we’ll be back in a week. We can stay for three more days.”

“You’re going to watch the competition?” Luca asked. None of his family had ever supported Luca’s love of surfing. It would be worse if Luca had ever taken one of those huge endorsement deals. They hadn’t been what Luca wanted.

“No,” Marco said as he turned to press his back into Skinner’s wide chest. Skinner grasped both of Marco’s hips tight, holding him in place.

“No?” Luca was confused. Wasn’t that what Marco had just said?

“No,” Marco repeated. “We’re here to see you dominate.”

Luca’s grin grew. “Wait to be amazed.”

“That’s my brother,” Marco said with pride.
