Chapter 5
CHAPTER FIVE
Brad
After watching, on this side of stalking, Luca for two days, Brad finally realized that the strangers that had suddenly showed up were Luca’s brother, Marco, and Marco’s partner, Skinner.
Brad had been concerned. That protective part of him wanting to make sure that Luca was safe with the new people around him.
With Marco it was easy to see the family resemblance to Luca with their dark hair, sharp cheekbones, and expressive eyes.
Marco’s partner was a big beast of a man and a little on the scary side.
Brad hadn’t heard the big guy talk much yet when he looked at his smaller and younger partner, there was love in his eyes.
They’d left about an hour ago once Luca had placed first in the surfing competition. Luca had completed the three-peat. Brad had overheard Luca’s brother telling Luca they’d be back in a week for a longer visit. Luca had lit up as happiness shone from his eyes.
Now sitting inside the coffee shop with their friends celebrating Luca’s win, Brad wondered what else he didn’t know about the boy. Family, goals, what he wanted. Brad found himself more curious yet too shy to ask all the questions. Like, was Luca close to the rest of his family?
Luca’s brother had called his partner sir and served him with a look of sereneness on his face. The strong dominant and submissive vibes had radiated from the couple. And Luca hadn’t seemed shocked by the dynamic, so it must have been something that Luca already knew about.
Since Brad knew that their group was full of Daddies and littles, he wondered how many other guys he’d find were on the kinky side.
He ran his gaze across the room where Luca was making the biggest, messiest chocolate drinks topped with too much whip cream and cherries. Brad was dying to get his hands on Luca again. Two days was two days too long.
Luca and Dawson brought over the drinks on trays and started to pass them around.
Brad sat sandwiched between James and Josh, and Cal was next to Josh with James’s twin, Scott, in front of him.
James’s partner and Daddy, Jacob, was across the table from James.
That meant that once everyone had their drinks, Dawson pulled the chair out in front of Josh, leaving Luca to settle in front of him.
“This looks disgusting,” Cal grumbled. “What is it?”
Leaning forward, Scott closed his eyes as he took a long drink from the straw, moaning.
Cal’s eyes widened.
Brad pressed his lips together as James sighed.
“Double chocolate cookie crumble mocha with whip cream, cherries, and cookie crumbles on top.” James sucked down his own drink. “Or in another word, heaven.”
Luca giggled and nodded. “It’s a celebration.”
Jacob pulled the cup away from James, who seemed to be trying to finish it in one gulp. “That’s too much sugar.”
“But—” James pushed out his bottom lip. “We’re celebrating Luca!”
“Yeah!” Scott agreed, sucking down another huge amount.
Brad shook his head. This was a recipe for disaster. These boys did not need this much sugar. Even if the coffee shop was closed and it was just their small group of friends hanging out.
“Party!” Scott threw his arms up in the air, swaying from side to side.
“We need music!” James shouted before jumping up and racing off.
Again Luca giggled.
The only boy that seemed to be on his best behavior was Dawson. Dawson talking or acting up would have been the real surprise. Instead Dawson had his head low as he stared at the drink in front of him.
Brad jumped when loud rock music suddenly blared from the coffee shop speakers.
“Abba!” Luca bounced in his seat.
“Fuck yeah!” James returned to the front of the shop and started to dance in the middle.
“Language, boy!” Jacob barked.
Luca leaped up, stopping to grab Dawson’s and Scott’s arms before dragging them over to James.
Was this what playdates and little time consisted of with this group?
Although the only ones Brad knew for a fact were littles were Luca and James.
Brad didn’t know Scott well. Just that Scott was a student, James’s twin, and basically only had eyes for Cal.
Dawson was an even bigger mystery. James and Luca were outgoing and obvious, open about their kink.
Still feeling like an outsider, Brad sat back in his chair, ignoring the melting drink in front of him.
He couldn’t keep his eyes off Luca though.
Not as Luca and James bounced their asses dancing together.
Scott was shuffling his feet. Somehow Scott had managed to keep hold of his drink and continued to sip.
Dawson stood stiffly even when James and Luca started to use him as a prop, bumping into Dawson, grinding, with Luca even smacking Dawson’s jean-covered ass.
Every time Dawson attempted to leave the makeshift dance floor, either James or Luca would pull him back into the circle with them. At least until Josh cursed under his breath and rose.
Josh rescued Dawson. Not touching the quiet man but blocking James and Luca from pulling him back into the fray again. Dawson beelined to the table with Josh at his back.
James and Luca booed them. Brad chuckled. They were menaces together.
A new song came on. Something about partying in the USA and the boys lost their mind, screaming and jumping and just looking absolutely crazy.
It was quite adorable.
Brad found his drink in his hand and sipped. He nearly coughed up the overly sweet drink. Too much. Much too much.
Jacob rose, heading to the counter cooler and grabbing several bottles of water. He even pulled out a twenty-dollar bill, leaving it on the register before returning to hand out the water.
“Thanks,” Brad murmured then twisted off the lid. He needed the cold liquid to cool himself down. Luca’s ass was too fucking enticing as he thrust it in Brad’s direction.
He’d finished the entire bottle by the time James, Scott, and Luca returned to the table.
They were full of giggles, sweaty, and looking so damn pleased with themselves.
Happy boys made Brad’s heart full. It also brought back memories of when having a happy boy was the most important thing in his life.
When Brad had decided to transform himself from the overweight, pimple-faced, nerdy teen, his entire life changed.
Not only the outside of him. Brad had become dominant and demanded control, never wanting to be the same lame weak kid he’d once been.
Becoming a Daddy had been as natural as breathing.
Doting on someone that needed the dominant part of him, that liked it, was the best feeling in the world.
Forget all the certifications and licenses that Brad had worked hard for. He’d nearly given it all up for a boy that smiled and called him Daddy. Brad gave everything to that boy, his time, his money, his own happiness. And had gotten used, verbally abused, and hurt in return.
Yet there was something happening to him.
Luca was making Brad face his past, the pain, and the need that he’d stuffed down.
“That is such a good idea!” Luca squealed.
Brad blinked himself back to the conversation happening around him.
Josh and Luca were both leaning forward, talking excitedly. James had found a seat on his Daddy’s lap, who looked intrigued as well. Scott and Dawson were huddled close together, not appearing half as excited, while Cal frowned.
“Let’s go tomorrow,” Luca declared. “How often are we all off on the same night?”
With the end of the holiday weekend, everyone at the fire station that had been working received the next day and night off. A skeleton crew would cover the next twenty-four hours.
Josh shrugged. “Sounds good to me.” He glanced over at Dawson and Scott. “What do you two say? No pressure. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want. It might just be fun to get out. You could dance or just meet people.”
Dawson snorted. “Meet more people. Sounds great.”
“I don’t know.” Scott shrugged. “What if someone wants us to be…” He leaned forward whispering, “Like little or something.”
“No one will make you do something you don’t want,” James declared firmly. “Plus we’ll be there.” He turned to his Daddy. “Right?”
“If you want,” Jacob responded.
“You don’t have to go,” Cal told Scott. “It’s okay to stay home.”
“Maybe I don’t want to stay home.” Scott lifted his chin in challenge. “I’m in.”
“Yay!” Luca clapped. “This is going to be so fun. We’ll meet as soon as the coffee shop closes. We can carpool.”
The club? They were going to the club as a group. Which of course meant if Brad went along, there was a good chance that the secret he’d been keeping would get out. Only Luca knew that he’d once been a Daddy.
Was Brad ready for his other friends to know?
The answer came faster than Brad wanted to admit. Yes, he was ready to share that part of his past. With Josh and Cal by his side Brad might be ready to admit that he was dying to give Luca what the boy was begging for.
Luca raised his eyes to Brad and smiled. “I can’t wait to revisit the nursery. It’s the best place ever.”
The challenge was thrown out.
Brad smirked as he leaned back in his chair, never breaking eye contact with Luca.
Luca wanted to test Brad. To push him? Brad was the type of Daddy that used a firm hand while doting and spoiling his boy.
It had been a long time since he’d fully embraced that side of him, yet excitement filled Brad instead of dread.
Luca wanted a Daddy?
Brad would show the boy just what he’d been missing.

Luca
Excitement stayed with Luca all day until he and Dawson were locking the coffee shop behind them. They had fifteen minutes to change before meeting everyone else. He’d made sure that both Josh and James had texted Brad, ensuring Brad would be coming along as well.
Luca’s plan was playing out just like he’d expected.
Sure Brad might spend his time on the dance floor, avoiding the nursery, but the look that Brad had sent Luca’s way the previous night told Luca that Brad might surprise him. Surprise them all, since no one else knew about Brad’s past.
