Chapter 5 #2

And Luca was even getting Dawson and Scott to tag along with him and James. It was going to be the best night ever.

“I’m glad you’re coming,” Luca told Dawson. He was also shocked. Dawson had always balked at going out. He didn’t like crowds or loud music.

Dawson shrugged. “It’s one night.”

They started up the steps, but Luca grabbed Dawson’s wrist, stopping him. “We have the code word if things get too much. Use it if you need to.”

Dawson nodded. “Josh explained that there are quiet rooms available. He even said that he rented one just in case.”

Luca’s fingers flexed and he forced himself to pull away. “You talked to Josh about the club?”

Dawson scowled. “He talked to me. I didn’t ask him anything. He told me about the quiet room. Assured me that he’d be there to help if need be.”

“That’s nice of him,” Luca offered. Of course he was fully aware of Josh’s crush on Dawson. Dawson wasn’t in a place where he was even thinking about a relationship, but maybe sometime in the future. And if anyone could handle the stress in Dawson’s life, it was Josh.

“He… I know he’s a nice guy,” Dawson said.

Oh? “And what else do you know?” Luca teased.

“Not going to happen.” Dawson stomped up the stairs ahead of him. “That man is crazy if he thinks I’m the one for him.”

Maybe it wouldn’t be too long after all. As long as Josh didn’t give up. Luca skipped up behind Dawson. “Did you see Cal’s face when Scott said he was going?”

Dawson snorted. “I had no idea that Scott was as big of a brat as you and James.”

Cackling, Luca clapped his hands. Already the little side of him was pushing to the surface.

Playdates with James were fun but the club was so awesome.

So many friends that Luca had made over the year.

Including one of the owners being a playful puppy that tended to hang out with the littles.

He hoped that the pup would be around to snuggle with.

Dawson had the door open by the time Luca hurried through.

“I’m going to take a quick shower. I don’t want to smell like coffee,” Luca said.

“Do you need me to pack your little bag?” Dawson offered. He was glancing at his feet with his cheeks red.

“Already did that before work this morning,” Luca said. “But feel free to add anything that you want to bring.”

Dawson shook his head. “I don’t have anything.”

“You’re welcome to anything of mine,” Luca reminded him. “Anytime.”

“I’m going to change clothes.” Dawson left Luca staring after him before Luca remembered he didn’t have much time.

He raced to his room, pulling his shirt over his head while trying to kick off his shoes. Luca was excited. Even if his plan to force Brad’s Daddy side out of the closet failed, Luca was going to have the best time.

Taking the fastest shower of his life, Luca was in and out then dressed with three minutes to go. He was brushing his thick black hair when he heard conversation in the living room. Damn! His friends must already be there.

Luca gave his head a shake, sending water drops over the room.

The wet strands would dry and curl naturally in a way that Luca didn’t usually style it.

A boy wouldn’t have perfect hair though.

This was just one step to throwing himself into his little persona.

On the way out of his bedroom, he snagged his backpack.

“I’m ready!” Luca called as he ran down the hall.

In the living room, Dawson was sitting on the couch with his arms wrapped around his legs as Josh sat on the coffee table in front of him. Brad was sitting in Luca’s favorite chair, allowing him to see Luca first.

He nearly tripped over his own feet. Brad looked good. And he wasn’t even dressed sexy. Just wearing black jeans and a tight tank top that brought out the blue in his eyes even more than usual, with a relaxed and calm air about him.

Brad smiled, his blue eyes sparkling with desire when he spotted Luca.

Luca wanted to preen. Step one was getting Brad to go to the club.

That was done. Now he just needed to see if the Daddyness that Luca kept seeing was going to come out.

First things first. They had to get on the road to the club.

He turned toward Dawson and Josh. Shuffling forward, Luca lowered himself beside Josh. “Everything okay?”

Dawson was gritting his teeth. “Fine.”

Luca glanced at Josh, who gave him a small nod.

“We’ll go pull the car around,” Josh said. He rose while motioning for Brad to join him.

Luca waited until Josh and Brad had exited the apartment before leaning forward and grasping Dawson’s knee. “What’s going on?”

Dawson didn’t raise his eyes. “Nothing.”

One-word answers told a different story. “Do you want to stay home? I can stay with you. We’ll order a pizza and watch bad 80s horror movies,” Luca made the offer sincerely. The plan for Brad would never be more important than Dawson.

“I don’t want to stay home,” Dawson whispered.

Okay, that was a definite answer. Clear. “How about I make you a chocolate milk to take in the car with us. I’ll make me one too.”

Slowly, Dawson lifted his head. “That would be okay?”

“Sure,” Luca replied. “It’s a long drive anyway. Plenty of time for us to enjoy. I’ll put them in the insulated tumblers and keep the milk cold.”

Dawson nodded. “I’d like that.”

“Awesome!” Luca patted his friend’s knee.

Dawson had changed into a clean and nicely fitting pair of jeans with a tight white long-sleeve shirt.

It didn’t scream little but comfortable, which Luca found endearing.

Being comfortable was the best part of being a little.

Unless Luca was in a sexy mood. He did have little clothes a little more revealing than his usual preference.

He’d pulled on a pair of athletic pants and a T-shirt, but Luca had his little outfit and a pullup in his backpack that he could change into at the club. Okay, he had two outfits since he hadn’t known what he’d feel like wearing when he’d packed that morning.

Being a little was hard sometimes. Or it was for Luca.

Or maybe the issue was Luca was a little without a Daddy.

Too many decisions needed to be made before Luca could let himself regress.

Everything had to be perfectly in place for Luca to be able to let go.

Even if Luca was planning on hooking up with a Daddy for a night.

Especially if Luca planned to hook up with a Daddy for the night.

It had become easier since Josh started to help, and being with James and Jacob. Luca trusted that his friends would look out for him if Luca accidentally went too deep into his little persona. Not that Luca was sure if that could or would ever happen.

Having the dream of a Daddy of his own meant something special for Luca. It meant that he could trust his person one-hundred-percent. That when his little side came to the surface, Luca could just be. Sort of like when Luca was riding the waves of the ocean.

Except even when Luca was surfing, there were expectations. Even if Luca chose to ignore them. Being little should mean that Luca didn’t have to worry or make any big decisions. That was a Daddy’s job. Luca didn’t want to always be little. He liked being an adult as well.

Luca had met little friends both at the club and online that indulged in an almost 24–7 dynamic.

That just wasn’t for him. Luca loved living his life.

Managing the coffee shop, part-time at school, and surfing in his free time was perfect for him.

Luca was around his favorite people there if they needed him.

And Luca did like being needed. Just not the same way that a Daddy was.

Luca liked being the friend that offered support.

The perfect Daddy would be a partner in Luca’s adult life yet also dote on Luca when he was little.

Help Luca’s friends so Luca didn’t get yanked back and forth from his regression.

Already Luca thought someone met those expectations. Hopefully Brad didn’t disappoint him.

Luca finished mixing up two tumblers of extra-chocolate milk before grabbing two bottles of water for Josh and Brad. He was trying to ignore the fact that he’d be stuck in the car with Brad for the long drive to the club.

Once he got to the club Luca could easily ditch Brad, since the other man most likely would hit the dance floor while Luca went to the nursery. It wasn’t like Brad would step foot in Luca’s favorite room.

Brad

Knowing that Luca was trying to push Brad amused him.

Josh had come clean early that morning that Luca had asked him to talk everyone into coming to the club.

Guilt had been eating at Josh until his friend had told Brad all about the club.

Like, the kinky side of it, as he wasn’t aware of Brad’s membership.

A few well-asked questions proved that Josh still had no idea about Brad’s past. So Brad came clean to his friend. Told Josh all about his ex and how he felt about Luca.

The tables were turned.

Instead of Brad getting pushed, it would be Luca who was going to be surprised.

And Brad had Josh on his side. All the better for what Brad had planned.

Luca wanted to play? Brad was ready for him.

It wouldn’t be a painful lesson. Brad cared too much for the boy and his friends.

But there would be no question that Brad was interested in Luca after tonight.

He’d been hiding a big part of himself.

Brad was done hiding.

It had taken Luca pushing and Josh giving Brad his support for Brad to realize that one bad relationship shouldn’t affect the rest of his life.

Jordan had been a dick. He’d hurt Brad but wouldn’t that have happened after any relationship ending? Brad had learned some valuable lessons. He’d run away. Then in a few short months he’d found his place. Friends. And a man that made Brad want to try again.

Brad was a Daddy to his very core.

And there was a boy who needed him.
