Chapter 10
Liam's pov
Me and Alex are in my car driving towards the grocery store to pick up the items.
When he asked about Destiny, the elevator door opened and we went inside.
I thank the Lord, because there were people in the elevator.
I always use the regular elevator. And he eventually forgot about the question he asked.
He asked it because, I don't usually talk about females to him.
I didn't do any relationship in these years because I didn't have time and I was not interested in them.
But my mind usually keep thinking about the girl I knew in high school, and that's Destiny.
We made towards the grocery store, I parked my car and made our way inside. I started to pull the cart filling with the items I needed.
"Alex can you pick two packets of pasta" I asked him. He nodded his head and went to pick it up. I called Mellisa and asked her to not to prepare anything for dinner. I assured her to go back home.
I searched for a few more items and placed them with the others. It's been five minutes, and there is no sign of Alex. I checked out the items and payed the amount. I waited for him for few more minutes but he didn't come back. So I went in search of him.
I found him talking to a girl, their backs were facing me. And in front of them, a see a girl moving her cart towards the cashier 'she seemed familiar'. "Alex, where the hell have you been. I was waiting for you" I asked him.
Hearing my voice them both turned towards me. "Sorry Liamy, did the baby missed his momma, where she had left him" he said and pouted at me. I saw that the girl is laughing at me. "Alex" I said in a warning tone glaring at him.
"OK cool down. Well change of plan Liam, we will be going to my friend's house because they invited us to their spaghetti party.
Since we were having the same, why not just join them" he said and turned towards the girl and introduced her "This is Ava, we met at high school.
But we ran to each other now" I nodded my head at her that I appreciate her presence.
Alex turned towards me and said to her "This is Liam Collins" hearing my name her eyes narrowed at me, my mind was confused because she looked at me like I committed a crime. I think she knows me who I am.
"So what do you think Liam, Ava and her friend invited us. Can we go?" I can see the pleading look in his eyes. So I replied "sure".
We made our way towards the entrance because her friend told them to meet her there.
I saw a girl making her way towards us. I immediately recognized her. Our eyes met and asked "What are you doing here".
The girl was Destiny. My heart flattered to see she was the girl that Alex said to meet at the entrance. And I am going to her home for dinner.
'What a lucky day did you get liam' my heart asked.
'It's sure is a lucky day'
Destiny turned towards her friend and asked "What is he doing here Ava". Before her friend can reply Alex beat her and replied "Destiny this is my friend Liam, now come on everyone, I am starving" he took Ava's arm started pulling her towards my car "Lead the way Ava "he said and went.
Destiny was seeing them leave. I saw that she was struggling to hold the bags in her hand. I reached towards it and grabbed the bags and started moving towards my car.
"I can carry my bags" I heared her say behind me. But I didn't reply, I just made my way towards my car. I pressed the unlock button to the car. I went back of my car to place the bags in my trunk.
After I finished, I went to the driver seat and opened to see that Destiny is sitting in the passenger seat. I smirked myself at the thought. I got in and started the car. I can hear Alex and Ava talking in the backseat. Destiny was giving me direction to her apartment.
We reached the place in five minutes. The surroundings of her apartment is good. I parked my car. We all got out and took the bags. I didn't let Destiny carry any of them. Destiny leaded the way, and opened the door to her house. It's was small but cozy. Its completely her type.
"So, you can all sit and enjoy in the living room.
Till then I will complete the dinner and call you all" Destiny replied before she can make any move, Alex grabbed her shoulders and said "Oh no you don't " she gave a confusing look to him but he continued "You can't take the risk of making dinner on your own.
My Liamy didn't come here for free. He was my chef today, but I think he will help you out now".
I glared at him and said "Don't call me that Alex". He let out a yelp and covered his body from me by hiding behind Destiny. She let out a chuckle. 'I missed her chuckle '.
"OK, Liam take the items to the kitchen, I will place the shopping bag in my room" she said and took the bags to a room.
I removed my coat and placed on a chair. I moved towards the kitchen with the bags. I started removing the items from the bag and placed them on the counter. I hear voices from the living room. I think they started watching TV.
Destiny entered the kitchen while making a bun with her hair on the head. "So what are we going doing to do. Share the work" I asked her by placing the last item on the counter.
She washed her hands in the sink and turned towards me and said "You can cook the food and I will cut the vegetables. I think that will make it fast". I nodded my head and started doing.
Now and then I would take a glance at her. She has not changed much. I can see how she is engrossed in her task. She keeps removing her strands of hair which keeps falling at her face. We didn't even say single word to each other. I have so many questions to ask, but my mouth seems to be shut now.
After few minutes she gave the vegetables, I started preparing spaghetti by adding the ingredients. I can feel her eyes on me. But I didn't turn around and continued making the food.
"How are you princess?" I asked her after some silence between us. "I have been good " she replied and I nodded my head at her.
I can't see her face because still I am facing the stove. I hear some sounds behind me. I turned my head towards it to see, Destiny taking some wine glasses from the upper cabinet and placed them on the counter. She poured each glass with the wine.
She placed four plates near me. I turned off the stove and served the plates with food. We both took two plates each and went to the living room because there was no dining table. Both Alex and Ava are laughing and talking to each other watching TV.
'I wish destiny and I could talk like that not caring about the world and be in our own world'
"Now enough of your talking guys, the food is ready" I replied and placed the plates on the table and sat in a single couch. Destiny also placed the plates on table and went back to the kitchen.
There were 3 couches, two single seated and other one seated.
"Yes, this is what I have been waiting for" Alex replied and took the plate and started eating. Destiny came back with the tray placed with wine glassesand placed them on the table. She sat opposite to me. We all started eating.
We were having small discussion about what we were doing in life until Alex asked the question to Destiny "So Destiny, Ava said you got the job as assistant. I mean which company did you interviewed for".
She was shifting in her seat, opening and closing her mouth to speak. Instead of her I replied, "She interviewed for me, and I selected her as my assistant".
Alex eyes widened hearing me. He completely turned towards Destiny and said "Seriously, did you interviewed for him" Destiny nodded her at him "I think you should quit this job Destiny, he is an asshole when it comes to work.
Sometimes I think Liamy has been married to his job" I was glaring at him, but he can't see me, his attention is turn to Destiny.
Hearing him Destiny chuckled and he continued.
"You are too sweet, he will corrupt your mind too.
Look what he had become now, he doesn't even want to spend time with me.
I have to force him or beg him to go out with me.
I don't want you become like that. He looks like a monkey with dressed up in suit and file in the hand.
Don't you think like that" finally he finished and pouted at Destiny.
Both of the girls are laughing out loud by clutching their stomachs. They turned their gaze at me and laughed even more because I think they imagined me as a monkey.
I slowly got up from the chair and moved towards Alex. He came to know what I was going to do, so he blotted from his sit and started running around the living room. I was close behind him chasing. Once I got his hold, I tackled him down and started wrestling with him.
I can hear the girls laughing still. He has to embarrass me every time he meets someone.
"Guys stop it. Liam he was just joking leave him" I heared Destiny say still laughing. Hearing her voice I got up from him and said "He always does this to me. I don't like him" I said and pouted at them. They started laughing again.
'Why are they laughing again '
'Because billionaires like you don't pout at the silly things ' my mind replied.
I glared at them. They took few minutes to cool down.
"OK girls, I think we should get going, I have a meeting tomorrow. Even though it's Sunday I have to work" Alex said to them. They nodded their head. We quickly helped them to clean the table.
We bid goodbye's to them and made our way towards my car.' I already miss her'. On the way we talked about the business till I dropped him at his home.
I made it to my mansion. After parking my car, I went straight to my room. I removed my clothes and went to my bed and slept off.
And soon after I went into dream land with a certain girl.
