Chapter 16
Liam's pov
I waited a few minutes after Destiny went inside the room.
I slowly opened the door so that I don't want to disturb her if she is sleeping. A small smile lit on my face when I saw her sleeping. I lean my shoulder on the door and observe her. She was sleeping on the left side of the bed.
I slowly went to her side and covered her with the blankets till her shoulders. I sat near her on the bed and pushed the strands of hair which has fallen on her face behind her ear. I caressed her soft cheek with my thumb.
She released a breath deeply in her sleep and shifted slowly. I quickly pulled my hand back. She bought her left hand up and tucked under her other cheek. She pouted a little, it looked cute.
I bent down and placed a kiss on her forehead. I stayed there for few seconds and retrieved back.
I got up removed my shoes and coat, went to sleep beside her. I maintained some distance between us. I don't want her to think bad about me if she woke up.
I was watching the ceiling by keeping my hand behind my head. Sleep was no where near. I heard shuffling next to me. I turned my head to see that Destiny was turning towards me. She was fully facing me now but she was still sleeping.
My eyes went down her face, her blouse has raised up showing her skin. I think while shifting, the blankets must have came down.
I should have slept outside than this torture. I want to have her in my arms holding tightly and fall asleep.
I feel a rush of adrenaline. I have to cover her. I sat on the bed and covered her with the blankets again. I turned my body towards her and layed down.
I was watching her face, eyebrows, long eyelashes. Her cute nose and pouted lips. She looked like a kid. Looking at her I went to sleep.
I woke to the sound of door knocking. I was about to get up, I feel pressure on my left shoulder and arm. I looked down to see Destiny is curled up next to me, her head on my shoulder. I smiled at the thought of her cuddling towards me.
I again heard a door knock. I silently moved Destiny without disturbing her sleep. I went and opened the door. There stood the attendant.
"Sorry to disturb sir, but the plane is about to land. I came to wake you up, so that you can be in your seats at the time of announcement" she said. I nodded my head and went inside.
I washed my face and went to wake up Destiny.
"Destiny, get up we are about to land" I said slowly by shaking her shoulder.
"Destiny "
"Princess wake up" I said.
"Ah..what" she said. She slowly sat up and looked towards me in her sleepy eyes. Cute.
"The plane is about to land, we should go back to our seats" I said.
She nodded her head and got up from the bed and went outside towards the seats. I followed her quietly.
She sat down and looked out the window by placing her chin on the hand. I started checking the mails in the mobile.
They announced to put our seatbelts. I see no movement next to me. I turned towards her and chuckle left my mouth.
By keeping the chin on her hand she had slept like that. I quickly took a photo and put her seatbelt on my own.
The plane landed safely in few minutes. It was already eight in the morning here. I didn't want to wake her up. So I lifted her from the seat and carried her out towards my car which was waiting for me.
I placed her on the backseat and sat next to her by keeping her head on my shoulder. I think she doesn't miss her beauty sleep.
The driver quickly bought our luggages in and started to drive towards one of my hotels in London.
I was typing in my mobile when I saw Destiny started to rub eyes.
"Did you sleep well?" I asked her.
Hearing my voice she quickly lifted her head from my shoulder and looked at me in wide eyes. She is completely awake now. She looked around and asked confusingly "What am I doing in a car. I was sleeping in the plane on the bed".
I laughed at her. "Oh God, you don't even remember you walking from the bed to the seat when I woke you up" I was chuckling when I asked.
She shook her head and said "no".
"You got up and sat on the chair. Again you doze off before we could land. So I carried you to my car because I didn't have the heart to wake you up from your beauty sleep" I said smiling at her.
Her lips formed 'o' shaped in understanding and blushed. I leaned forward and whispered in her ear "And don't fall asleep like that when you are with other men, you are only capable of doing that for only me".
I pulled back and looked at her, our face were only few inch apart.
The car came to a stop. I looked out to see that we have reached the hotel. I got out. I smiled thinking at her face now, her eyes were wide and mouth was open.
I moved to her side and opened the door. She got out. The driver has already pulled out our luggages.
I picked up both of our things and started moving inside.
"I can carry my things" I heard her sweet voice behind me. I ignored her and kept walking.
As soon as the receptionist saw me, she got up and smiled sweetly, I kept my face blank. She greeted "Good morning sir, I was announced of your visit. I have your penthouse ready, please follow me" she started walking swaying her hips. I mentally rolled my eyes.
I can hear footsteps behind me. I smiled.
We entered the elevator and reached the top floor. The receptionist opened the door and gave the keys by winking at me and went out.
I started moving inside and didn't hear footsteps behind me. I turned towards Destiny and she was awestruck by the penthouse. She whispered 'wow ' and looked around. She likes it.
"Are you going to stand there or coming inside" I asked by raising the eyebrows. She nodded her head and came inside.
I started climbing the stairs, I hear her say "It's beautiful here".
"Thank you princess " I said and entered a room. I placed her things on the floor and turned towards her and said "This is your room till we stay here. And get ready by nine forty five. We have to hurry up for the meeting".
She said "ok".
I got up to my room and went to bath. After half an hour I was ready. I slipped my mobile in the pocket and went out doing my tie. When I started moving down the stairs I smell something which was coming from the kitchen.
I entered the kitchen and saw Destiny doing something in the stove. She was humming the song as she cooked the food. I stood there looking at her. She looked beautiful in that black dress and with same length jacket. Her legs were showing more. She left her hair down.
She turned towards me and startled seeing me there. She let out a yelp and pressed her hand on her chest. I think I scared her.
"I didn't mean to scare you, but what are you doing?" I asked her.
"It's okay. I was hungry so I thought to make something really quick before we leave. We both didn't eat yesterday night, so I made for both of us if it's ok with you" I smiled at her sentence. She did think of me.
"Thank you princess, the meeting won't start until eleven, we have more than an hour to reach there. I thought we could eat something outside before we reach the building, but you saved the time. Do what ever you want, I will wait" I said and sat on the dinning chair.
She continued her cooking. I watched her sitting there. In few minutes she bought the plate and coffee, and placed infront of me. I started eating, she came with the plate and glass of juice, and sat across me.
In few minutes I devoured the breakfast. 'Looks like I was hungry'. I started drinking the coffee observing her. She didn't wear to much make up. I finished the coffee and took the plate and cup to the sink.
She finished quickly and also placed the items in the sink.
"I will bring my bag, then we can leave" she said. I nodded my head.
I went towards the main door and waited for her. In two minutes she came down.
In half an hour we reached my building. We got out of the elevator to the floor we were meant to reach.
We started walking in the hallway to the meeting room where it was held. In the half way I heard someone was calling Destiny from behind.
"Des is that you". We both turned and saw a guy with the black eyes and reddish brown hair, he was also dressed in a suit. I recognize him, he is Luke Taylor. He was looking after his father company.
"Luke?" he nodded his head "How are you? I haven't seen you in two years" Destiny said and hugged him. He hugged her back. My hands fisted, ready to punch him seeing them hugging. I was blazing with anger now.
'Why am I feeling like this'
"I am good. Sure it is" he broke the hug and looked her from head to toe "And you have become more beautiful in these two years of time" he said winking at her. She blushed at his statement.
I cleared my throat at them. Luke noticed me now. "Ah.. Liam Collins. I am Luke Taylor, Destiny's boyfriend" he said and stretched his hand for a shake hand.
Hearing the word boyfriend, I turned towards Destiny wide eyes. Did she lie to me. But she was glaring at him.
She quickly lifted her hand and twisted his ear, for which he yelped like a girl.
"You still like to torture me, don't you. How many times I have to say, I won't fall for your tricks" she said still twisting his ear. Oh my girl is feisty.
"OK sorry sorry, I won't do it again. Now let it go, it's hurts like hell" he pleaded her. Serves him right.
"How do you know him?" I interrupted them.
"We both went to the same college, he was my partner in my project" she said to me and left his ears. I nodded my head.
"So what are you doing here Des" he asked. He gave her a nickname. I want to be strangle him, if he stands here another minute.
"I work in Collins company now, I am assistant for Mr Collins here" she said.
I don't like him. He is standing too close to her. I was getting angry more. I have to separate her from him.
"Ms Walker, we have a meeting to attend if you don't mind" I said in a deep voice and started moving towards the meeting room.
I don't know why I am acting like this. I know I like her, but I can't see her with any other men. When we met in school, I didn't see her with any guy except one time.
It was same kind of feeling I was having now.
Could it be jealous?
Why should I feel jealous?
I don't know what to do.
But I don't want to show my anger now and not on Destiny.
I entered the meeting and stood infront the the people who was waiting for me. I saw Destiny and Luke sat beside reach other on my right side.
My hand fisted.
"Shall we begin" I said coldly keeping my face blank.
