Chapter 15
Destiny's pov
"Are you running out of the country Destiny?" I can hear mom shouting from other side of the mobile.
I puff out a breath and replied "Dad can you put in speaker so that I can say what I was going to say".
Let us say that my mom is a little bit over exaggerating than normal people.
I hear my dad chuckle and said he put it on speaker and I continued "Mom I am not running away. I just forgot to tell you guys that I got the job at Collins company. I am working as an assistant for the CEO, so I am tagging along with him for business purpose" I said calmly.
"Congratulations cupcake, you have become a wonderful women" my dad replied. I can hear the shake in his voice.
"Dad are you going to cry" I asked lowly.
"Ohh don't mind him baby, he is always like this. I am proud of you. He will sleep on the couch if he dare to make you cry" I chuckled at the last sentence when mom replied. She knows how to lighten the mood.
"You can't do that. And I know you won't be away from this husband of yours because he is handsome" I can imagine seeing him smirking at my mom.
"Mom! Dad! Can you guys stop. You have whole home to yourself when you are alone to do that but now talk to me" I whine to them. If I stop talking they will start flirting anytime. Not minding when and where they are.
I hear them laughing "Sorry cupcake. Now, I have heard that Collins company is a good one" my dad asked.
"I didn't know until I joined the company. I will get the pay more" I said.
"That's good, so for how many days are you going" my mom asked me. I think the mobile is still on the speaker.
"Three days, I think we will be back by Saturday night or Sunday morning" I replied.
"Be careful dear, and don't forget to have fun" I chuckled at my mom.
"Sure mom. How are my siblings, I didn't hear from them for weeks now" I asked.
"Your sister is good. She just completed the adoption papers and custody of the baby. About your brother, I don't know. We haven't heard from him yet" my mom replied. I smiled at the thought meeting my nephew.
"It's okay mom. I will visit Amanda after I get back from London. I will have to talk to that brother of mine later" I said.
"OK dear, be careful" and I hear shuffling and heard my day voice "Be careful cupcake, and come visit us soon, I will be waiting".
"Sure Dad, bye" I said and hung up the call.
It was five in the evening now. The night I was going to London. When I was packing the luggag, I thought I haven't spoken to my parents so I called and informed them. They both had taken a holiday today from their busy schedule.
I think I forgot to introduce my siblings. I have a sister and brother.
My sister Amanda Jasmin Walker, is a nurse working in the same hospital that my father work. She is four years older than me. She is already twenty eight and still living a single life.
Are you thinking about the baby. Well she is a kind hearted person, when a woman gave birth to a boy and said she will put it in an orphanage, she stepped forward and took the responsibility of it. It's been six months since I met my nephew.
I was just an hour drive away from them. Even on a busy schedule, my parents didn't forget to give us the love.
About my brother, well that's for another time. I have packing to do still.
I completed the packing and sat in living room waiting for Liam's message to come down. I still have 20 minutes for seven.
My mind went back to yesterday about the kiss on the cheek. I still feel the tingles there. How dare he could do that after all he has done.
Today morning I didn't talk much. I gave him coffee and told about the meeting. Before he can return to his office, I was out of the building because he had said yesterday that I can take the day off from afternoon.
I think I can kill the time by talking to Ava, it's seems like days since I spoke to her. I immediately dialed her number.
"Hello, who is this" she asked annoyingly. I think she is mad at me for not calling her.
"Your favorite person on the world" I said cheekily.
"I don't have one"
"I am sorry Ava, I didn't have time to call. I am sure in future I will call you"
"It's okay Sky, so what are you doing. Can I come over? I miss you" I think she pouted at end.
"I am sorry Ava, I am going to London now" I said.
"Oh my God really" she said excitedly then she asked confusingly "Wait! Why are you going there".
"I am going on a business purpose. My boss would be here any minute now. He is picking me up from here to airport" I said.
"Oh really" I can hear amusement in her voice "When are you coming back?" she asked.
"Maybe on Saturday not sure" I replied thinking about it.
"It's okay, have fun but not to much" I chuckled at her statement.
I hear my door bell rings.
"OK bye Ava, I think my boss is here. I will call you when I am free" I hung up on her.
I went to the door and opened it. I expected to see green eyes but I met with shades. There was a tall and built man stood infront of me. He was having a serious face. Before I can ask who he was, he spoke.
"Are you Miss Walker" I nodded my head at his question.
"I am Mr. Collins driver and bodyguard. He has ordered me to escort you to his car" he said in a serious voice.
"OK. Just a minute, I will bring my luggage and my bag" I said and went inside to take my things.
I put the luggage next to the door and locked my main door. When I turned towards my things to take it, it was not there.
I looked at the man who came to escort me but he was waiting at the elevator carrying my things.
I stood beside him and asked my luggage. He said he will carry it. I said a thank you to him.
We made our way towards the parking lot to see a freaking limo there.
I stopped walking and stood there with my mouth wide open. It's cool. I haven't been in one.
The man put my things in the trunk and opened the back door. I saw Liam coming out of it and stood infront of me.
I was still seeing the limo.
Liam waved his hand infront of me. I looked up at him to see that he was smiling.
"We are going in that" I pointed my finger at the limo and asked.
"Yes princess, is there any problem" he answered me confusingly.
"It's one of my dream to sit in that" I said excitedly bouncing up and down on my feet.
He chuckled at my reaction and said "Now come on, we don't wanna be late for the flight".
We started moving towards the limo. Liam was going infront of me.
He opened the back door for me, I got in. I was mesmerized seeing inside.
Liam came to the other side and spoke with the driver. Then he came in.
"Give me your passport and other things" he asked me.
I searched in my hand bad and gave it to him. He gave it to the driver by window.
The driver got in and started driving.
I was still amused about this thing. It freaking cost so much. How much does he make in this business.
I stared out of the window having a huge smile on my face.
I feel eyes on me. I turned towards Liam to see, he was looking at me.
"Is there anything on my face sir" I asked lifting my hands to rub my face if I have something on. I think he was annoyed at some thing.
He shook his head as no, I put my hand on my lap.
"You can call me by my name. We are not in office now" he said in serious tone.
"But.. " he cut off my words when I started to reply.
"There is no but. You have to call me by my name when we are alone and unprofessional" he said making his words as final and started typing away in his mobile.
"Did you get the tickets" I asked after few seconds.
"Why do we need tickets" he said still looking down at the mobile.
"What do you mean by 'why do we need tickets'. Because we can't travel without that" I was annoyed at him when I said.
"Wait and see princess" he said while having a small smile on his lips.
I again looked out of the window. In few minutes we reached the airport.
But the limo didn't stop at the usual parking space, it went towards a gate.
I was confused. Where are we going?.
The driver came out and spoke with the security. In few seconds the gates opened.
The driver came back and drove us towards a runway.
As the place came nearer, I saw a smaller plane there, like a private plane.
I just made a fool out of myself asking about tickets.
'You should have shut your mouth' my inner voice said.
'You are probably right'
"I am always right' she said.
The limo came to a stop. Liam got out when the driver opened his door. Before he can open mine, I came out myself.
He saw that and went to carry our luggages to the plane.
Liam was talking to two men and a woman.
I went towards them and stood beside Liam.
He saw me and put a hand on my back and introduced me to them "This is Destiny Walker, she is my PA. And she is joining with me" I smiled at them "And this is our pilots and attendant".
Liam shook his hand with them. He assured me to go inside the plane. His hand was still on my back.
When I entered, it was amazing. It even has a door behind. I was excited to see all this.
We made our way towards the seat and sat there.
"We have to sleep soon. When we reach there it will be almost nine in the morning. It takes seven hours to reach there. As soon as the plane take off, go to the room behind, it has a bed you can sleep there" he said calmly.
"What about you, you don't sleep" I asked.
He smiled a little and replied "I have some work, I will complete it first and then I will sleep". I nodded my head.
The attendant said to fastened the seatbelts.
We put seatbelts on. I was nervous. It always happens to me when plane starts to take off.
When the plane started going fast, I tightened the hold of my hand on the holder and closed my eyes.
A warm hand was placed on my hand.
I didn't open my eyes.
"Relax, it will be over soon" I hear Liam say. He traced his finger on my hand. It calmed me a little.
When we were in the sky, I opened my eyes and looked at Liam.
"Thanks" I smiled at him for the support.
He gave a smile and nodded his head.
I took my hand away from him and removed by seatbelt. I got up and turned towards him and said "I am going to sleep. Good night".
I started moving towards the room when I heard 'Good night princess'.
I entered the room and went to bed.
In few minutes, I was out like a feather.
