Chapter 39
Yesterday was a busy day. I don't know how Liam manages so many meetings in a day. Attending two meetings made me go crazy. At afternoon, Liam's father helped a little. I didn't get time to call Liam to check on him. But James said he was okay.
After dinner with Ava and Nathan, I called my dad and talked about Ava's brother. He is so ready to help them. Yesterday Ava's brother was shifted to my dad's hospital and he is looking after it.
Today I get to see Liam again. I am so excited to see him.
I dressed in one of my favorite outfit. I came to the building at my usual time, when I came to my desk I saw a bouquet of flowers and my favorite chocolates on the desk.
I smiled at that. I quickly made his coffee and took his today's schedule and knocked at his door with a full blown smile on my face.
I heard 'come in'. I opened the door looked at him, but I found a girl on his desk sitting there going through a magazine. I frown at it.
'Who is she? What she is doing in here?' my mind asked.
'How would I know, is she his girlfriend' I said.
'You fool, if he had girlfriend why would he ask you for a date' my mind asked.
'Yeah. But he wouldn't allow any woman like this in here' I said
My thoughts stopped when I heard my name being called.
"Miss Walker" Liam called. He was sitting on his chair. I came in and placed the coffee and schedule.
"Good morning sir, here is your schedule" I said looking at him. He was looking better than before. But in his eyes I can see the mischievnes in it. Again, I gave a side glance at the woman. Now she was looking at me or more like analysing me. I quickly looked at Liam, he was smirking at me.
"Destiny meet Sophia, Sophia meet Destiny, my personal assistant" Liam introduced, I looked at him dumbfounded. Did he just introduced me as his PA.
'Then what are you to him, his girlfriend' my mind asked in duh tone.
'Well I am his friend right, and he didn't say what she was to him except her name'
I narrowed my eyes at him and looked at her. I gave a small smile and said "Hello".
She smiled back and said "Hello". I looked back at him blankly and said.
"I am getting back to work. If there is anything, let me know sir" I said and went out with shutting the door. I sat on my chair and looked at the chocolates. I don't want to eat now, so I put them in my bag.
Did he forget what happened on Tuesday. And who is she. And what would they be doing now. I again looked the door. Shit why did I close it, I should have left it open. I got up from the seat and went to open it. I stopped in mid way.
'what hell am I doing'
I retrieved back to my seat sulking. I continued to work. But my eyes would go back to his door. After few minutes, I started hearing them laugh. What made him laughing. I got up from the chair and leaned my ear on the door. But I didn't hear anything.
Suddenly, the door was opened and I yelped standing straight looking up. I met Liam's eyes, which showed amusement. I looked next to him, the girl hands were placed on his arms. I again looked up at him.
"Miss Walker, what were doing at the door" he asked raising an eyebrow at me smirking.
"Not....nothing. I just saw something on the door, thought to remove it" I said glancing at the girl.
"Well continue what you were doing, I am going out for now" he said. I moved back to give them space. As he took two steps. I called him.
"But Mr. Collins" hearing me he stopped walking and turned to me raising his eyebrows. I think, I saw the girl trying to control her facial expression from laughing " You have.... " I was looking here and there "You have meeting" I said.
He looked at his watch and said "The meeting is at twelve.
I have still two hours. If your questioning is over, can I go" he said in a irritating tone.
I just nodded my head and looked down. I heard footsteps going away from me.
I looked up to see them entering the elevator.
While closing the door our eyes met. I bet he saw my sad face.
I was getting sad and angry. Just two days back he confessed he liked me, now he bought a girl to his office and not even glancing at me like he did before.
'Am I getting jealous?' I asked myself.
'Maybe you are. Because you are getting angry just seeing him with other girl ' my mind said .
That girl was very beautiful, and wore a cute dress. I stomped my foot on the ground and made my way towards my seat and continued working. After an half an hour, I would glance at the elevator.
I wanted a strong coffee to continue my work and stop thinking about this arrongent jerk.
I made my way towards the kitchen next to Alexis desk.
I was about to enter I heard some noises coming from stairs.
I slowly made my way towards it and opened the door slightly to see what was happening.
But I can't see anyone but I can hear two person conversing.
"Did we went to far, by you holding my arm" a man talked.
"Just shut up, it was fun you know" a girl talked.
"But, I didn't want to make her sad" the man talked again. I recognized the voice, it's Liam and I think the girl is Sophia.
"Stupid, we are just making her jealous"
"But, I think this is enough. If Melissa comes to know about it, we are doomed"
"Who will say to mom" my eyes widened. So she is Melissa's daughter "Well you picked a nice girl. When she knew I was with you. She didn't give me any nasty stares. She did greet me nicely".
I am surely going to kill Liam for this. He is doing this to make me jealous.
"But I think she didn't get jealous. So your idea went down"
"Oh, you didn't see it. When she entered your office she was so happy. As she saw me, her mood went down. And when you opened the door, she was trying to listen our talk. And also when you said you were going out, she somewhat tried to stop you. So what else you need"
"Well if she still haven't felt jealous"
"Then I going to kiss y.... "her sentence was cut off by Liam screaming.
"Ewwww. That's disgusting. You are a sister to me" I can hear horror in his voice. I covered my hand on the mouth from laughing. My heart fluttered hearing him say sister.
"Will you let me complete the sentence. I was just going to say kiss you on the cheek"
"If this is going too extreme. I will kill you. But I want a kiss from her, not you" he mumbled the last sentence. I blushed at his answer.
"I have Max, my dog to hunt you down, if you will kill me. And can you keep those things between you two"
They continued their bickering as I slowly closed the door. I shook my head smiling like a idiot. Let them continue their act, I will see what they are going to do. By their interactions I can know, they are close. I went to the kitchen to make some coffee for me.
After few minutes, I was doing my work. Then I heard footsteps, I looked up to see the master mind criminals. Same as usual with linked arms they came. I internally rolled my eyes. I kept my face blank and said.
"Sir, the meeting starts in few minutes" and took some files moved towards the meeting rooms. I heard their whispering, I just smiled.
I arranged the meeting room, and then Liam came with the clients.
I went out, and met with Alexis and Katie.
We had early lunch, talking and enjoying it.
I saw Sophia walking alone, looking around.
If they would have not planned that, I would have loved to talk with her.
But they think I don't know their plan, so I like to keep it that way.
I am sure Liam would not leave her alone for long.
After lunch, I went back to my desk and started working.
As I was working, I heard few laughs from the inside his office. Soon I heard the door open, I ignored them purposely and continued working. I heard him cough. I looked up to see them at the door.
"Sorry sir, I didn't hear you come out. Do you need anything" I said standing up.
"Uhh.... Yes. I want the file........ Yes the file you gave to my mother" he asked.
I searched the file. As I heard Sophia speak. I looked up.
"I will get going then. See you in the house" she kissed his cheek. Liam was looking like he is going to puke. But he remained quiet and nodded his head smiling. I picked the file, as I saw Sophia went to the elevator.
"Sir here is your file" I said. He looked at me then at the file and took it. I sat on the chair and continued working. He didn't move from the spot, he would look at me then at the hallway. I looked up raising an eyebrow at him asking.
"Anything else sir" he shook his head and went in his office mumbling something. I chuckled at him.
Soon time passed and evening came along.
It was my time to go home. I picked up my bag and went towards his office knocking.
He said 'come in'. I went inside, he was standing infront off desk with cross arms in deep thoughts.
His coat was off, and his sleeves were rolled up.
His hair was a mess. I think he ran his hands few minutes.
"Sir, today my work hear is complete. I am taking my leave" I said and turned around to leave by turning the knob.
But Liam grabbed my arm and turned me around.
His placed other hand on my face and kissed my lips eagerly.
I dropped my bag on the ground and kissed him back.
He pushed me back at the door and kissed me deeply.
He pinned both my hands next to my head.
His kiss showed me he missed me. He left my hands, and I automatically bought it around his neck.
He bent a little down and tapped my butt.
I got the message and jumped. I circled my legs around his waist. He moved his hand on my thighs.
I moaned in his mouth. I licked his lips for entering.
He obliged and let me. We kissed few more minutes.
I pulled away from him breathing heavily.
"In one of these days, you will be the death of me" he said still breathing. I just leaned my forehead against his.
"Did you seriously not feel anything when you saw me with Sophia" he asked.
"Honestly speaking I did. But after hearing you two speaking on the stairs" his eyes widened at that "I didn't want to ruin your plan. So I just put a blank face, to see what happens next" I said shrugging my shoulders as I caressed his cheek.
"You little minx. I was just stupid thinking about this whole afternoon like a idiot" he said kissing my nose.
"Well it's not my plan to make someone jealous" he just chuckled and moved us towards the desk. He made me sit on it and he stood between my legs and kissed my lips again passionately.
"So about the date I asked, how about this Saturday" he asked.
"I have plans on Saturday, how about sunday" I said. He nodded. Suddenly I gasped at the thought.
"Shit, I completely forgot. I have to buy tickets for the aquarium for Saturday. Only two days are left. What should I do" I said hurriedly.
"Well no worries, I can get it. On one condition" he asked, I nodded my head.
"I will come with you" I see pleading in his eyes.
"Okay, me Ava and a new friend of us are coming with us. Wait " a thought came to me "Bring Alex also, so you won't have to feel left out" he nodded his head.
I clapped my hands and said excitedly.
"Yes, we are going to the aquarium as a friends trip" he chuckled and kissed me.
