Chapter 38
Liam's pov
I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I was in my room. I expected to see Destiny, but she was not here. I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom for washing my face. I got out and went to the living room. I saw my mother working on her laptop.
"Hey" I greeted her and sat on the couch beside her. She looked at me and smiled.
"Hey, how are you feeling now" she asked. I looked around searching for a small figure.
"Better"
My mother didn't say anything, so I looked at her. She was seeing me in amusement and smiling slightly.
"Well if you are searching for Destiny she went home" hearing that my mood went down. She didn't say anything to me before leaving.
"I didn't ask anything about her" I said avoiding looking at her.
"Sure you didn't. But your eyes were asking it" she said chuckling. I looked at the time to see its six thirty.
"How was things at the office. And what are you doing" I said casually breaking the silence.
"It was good. Your secretary helped me a lot. You have maintained your company very good. I was just working on a fashion show held in New York. My new designs are up for the show" she said looking at the laptop.
"Liam, I have a proposal for you" she asked. I nod my head at her to continue.
"I want you to model me for few pictures. It's nothing much just with some suits" she asked closing the laptop and turned towards me.
"Mother I am not interested in those things. Even when other studios asked me I refused it. I just took few only for the magazines" I said.
"Just think about it, I have been working on it especially for you from many years. I have thought about doing it with my son when he grows up. Just give it a thought" she said giving me a smile.
"Okay, just this one" I said. She beamed happily.
"Oh I can't wait for it. I have this fashion show next month, I am free for next week. How about next week" she was really excited about this. I smiled at her and said.
"It's your wish mother. Just get it in my schedule talking to Destiny" I said.
"Oh, and I have a surprise for you during the shoot" she said smirking at me. Now I am scared what she will be planning.
"Mother tomorrow I am going to work" I said.
"Nope, just take a rest another day. I talked to Melissa, she will be coming tomorrow morning. And your father is arriving today night. He will go your company and check it out" she said picking up the laptop and moved to her room. I got up and followed her.
"Mother, it's so boring in the house" I whined following her.
"It's just one day, and Melissa will be here with you all day tomorrow" she said placed her laptop on the table. I was about to reply she started talking.
"Wait, so you didn't get bored today living in the house" she said crossing her arms "Okay it depends on the person who you are staying with you get bored.
Now tell me what did you do with Destiny that you are not bored today" she asked looking smugly at me.
I didn't answer, turned around and started walking towards the kitchen. I was blushing now.
"Hmm interesting, so are you gonna answer......." she started talking following me but I cut her off.
"You want me to stay in the house, okay I will stay. So no more questions" I replied opening the refrigerator to get something to eat.
"Okay I won't ask. Now move aside I will reheat the food I prepared earlier when I arrived" she pushed me aside and took the things and started heating it.
We talked having the dinner, it was good I was getting what I wanted years back. Before we went to bed, father came home. He asked me how I was doing and went to take rest. He seemed tired.
Now I am in the bed but sleep is not coming, it feels empty.
I didn't feel like this before. Another night with Destiny, I feel this.
I thought she would message me anything, but not a single reply came from her.
I am slightly mad at her. I didn't even know when she went out.
And I have to plan the date. With these thoughts sleep welcomed me.
I woke up to my alarm blazing through the room. I shut it out and got up from the bed and went to bathroom. I did my business and put on some gym clothes. First I went for a jog and went to gym in my house. This was relaxing. I guess taking rest for few days is good.
I was lifting dumb-bells alternatively with my hands when the door to my gym room opened. I looked up to see Sophia entering the gym with some drink in her hand. I smiled at her and dropped the dumbbells to the floor. I hugged her.
"Sophie, how are you" I said in a high voice.
"Ewwww, stupid get off me. You are covered in sweat" she said trying to push me. I left her.
"That's the point. And what's this" I asked taking the the drink.
"Mom made something, I don't know. How are you, I heard you were not well" she asked. I can hear worried tone in her voice.
"I am good kid, see I am in here working out" I said taking a sip of the drink. It was good. And drank it quickly.
"Okay, mom said you should come for breakfast. And I will be staying here today" she said taking the glass from me and went out.
I went to my room and took a bath and changed my clothes. I picked the mobile to see any message from certain someone, but no only business mails.
I went down towards the kitchen, I greeted Melissa with a kiss on her cheek.
And took my breakfast. We talked about her family meeting and my health.
I got good scolding from Melissa about not taking care of myself.
Me and Sophie was watching movie in the living room when father came out of the room.
"Father, I thought you were going to my company" I asked totally confused.
"Your mother insisted me to take rest, because I was tired and said to go little late to check out" he asked fixing his tie.
"But who is looking after the work" I asked.
"Yeah I asked the same question to your mother before she left. She said she trusted Destiny to look after it. I think she is managing all your meetings today. Poor girl, I hope she got enough sleep to manage her day" he said going into the kitchen.
Here I thought she is not texting me or calling me. Instead she is working her ass out. She deserve someone better than me. She looked out for me, helped my mother and now she is managing all my works. She is really a hardworking woman.
"Liam" Sophia called my name by waving her hand infront of my face.
"Yeah" I said looking at her.
"You were deep in thoughts" she asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"Yeah, just thinking about Destiny. In these two days she is helping a lot" I said.
"That's her nature. So any improvements in your relationship other then business" she asked completely turning towards me.
"Yes. I asked her on a date. But I am thinking what should I do. I want it to be special " I said placing my elbows on the thighs and keeping my face on the hands looking at her.
"I could suggest you few things. Well it's your first date, you have to make it private like only you two should be there no one else.
And I think she is not a picky person" I shook my head "And she like it simple" I nodded head.
Hearing this a idea popped up in my mind.
Before she can continue talking I sat up straight and looked at Sophie excitedly. She closed her mouth when she saw me.
"Sophia you are brilliant, I know the exact place. Now come on I will show you" I said grabbing her hands and went to my backyard.
I kept pulling her hand as we walked. We reached after ten minutes walking into the woods. I made her stand infront of it and asked.
"So what do you think, is this place good" she was smiling seeing the place.
"Good. Liam this is freaking beautiful. I am not gonna lie, I think Destiny will love this place" she said as she looked at it.
"Then the place is fixed, only few things are left. Now help me in planning this" I said.
As we walked back, she told me what to do. This is good, and I am excited about this.
Soon the evening arrived, both my mother and father came back. Now we were all in the dinner. We talked and laughed as we waited for father to freshen up. My father came, and soon Melissa started serving the food.
"Melissa why don't you sit with us. Let's all eat together" my mother said. I smiled at the thought.
"Yes Melissa, please sit down. You are also a family to us" my father insisted. I can see she was hesitating, but I smiled at her nodded my head to sit with us. She sat and continued out dinner.
"How was the work in the company" I asked my father.
"Good, Destiny is very good at her job. You really found a gem" he said smiling at me.
"Well this gem is from the same place you both have born and lived" I said. My mother gasped and took my father hand. My father was shocked.
"I know you are shocked. But when I was fifteen I heard you talked about your birth place.
And I wanted to explore it. So I went there to complete my highschool alone.
I wanted to surprise you both in graduation by coming there.
But you never showed up. Now that's in the past, I have moved on from that.
But one thing I got to know about that place is Destiny. That's where I met her" I said.
I see both my parents are about to cry. I curesd under my breath.
"I didn't mean to make you cry. I just wanted to say that, Destiny is from the same place" I mumbled not knowing what to do.
"It's okay dear. I know you didn't mean it. But I am happy to hear Destiny is from the same place" my mother said smiling at me. But I can see in her eyes that she is regretting from the past decisions she made.
We ate the dinner and both my parents went to their room. I was in the living room with Sophia watching some movie, Melissa already went out.
"Liam can I come to your office tomorrow, I have holiday. And I am bored in my house" I looked at her blankly.
"Please, I won't disturb you. I will be quiet and also I get to meet your girlfriend Destiny" she said smiling innocently at me.
"She is not my girlfriend yet" I said.
"Well in future she will be, so can I come"
"Okay" I said continued watching.
"Liam" she called, I hummed at her "I have a idea" I looked at her confused.
"How about we make Destiny jealous, see how she reacts about it. You don't say anything to her about me" she said. I thought about it. I smirked at the thought.
"Well I like the idea." I smirked at her.
"Tomorrow's operation is to make Destiny jealous" she said smirking back at me.
