Chapter 60
Liam's pov
"Liam" I heard Destiny shouting my name from behind me.
I turned towards her and she was running towards me as fast as she can.
Suddenly she pushed me hard. I fell on the ground on my back.
Then I saw a full speed car went past us.
I heard a thud beside me. I turned to look Destiny was on the ground with glasses pieces around her.
I quickly got up and went towards her. My heart dropped seeing blood from her head and a small glass sticking on her side of her forehead.
"Princess" I called her. But she was not responding. Her eyes was slightly open.
"Princess wake up. Can you hear me" I asked in fear. She was not responding. I looked around and shouted.
"Someone please help us, someone call the emergency team from inside" people gathered around me. I saw a man running towards the hospital. I looked back the Destiny, her eyes was starting to close.
"Princess don't close your eyes, can you hear me. Please say something. Don't close your eyes" I was pleading her, but she closed her eyes. I didn't touch her, I don't what to make it worse. I will let the medical team to handle it.
"Princess, say something" I desperately asked her.
"Sir I want you to move so we can take it from here" I heard someone behind me. I looked at them, it was the emergency team. I stood and let them handle. They placed her on the stretcher and started pushing her to the hospital. I followed them.
"Is she okay, why isn't she responding to me" I asked following them.
"Sir I need you calm down. We are going to check on her" a nurse said. They took her into the room, I was about to go in. They stop me.
"Sir, we need you to wait here till we respond back to you" a nurse said closing the door. I leaned my back on the wall. My heart was beating rapidly. I need to call David, he is a doctor. He will handle well. I looked for my mobile, but I didn't find it.
It must in the spot I fell. I went out and looked for it. I found it, but it was not working. Then I remember Ava. She is in the hospital. I ran as fast as I can to her room. I went inside in rush. Ava and her brother got startled at that.
"Ava I need your mobile right now. It's an emergency" I asked her. She gave it and I searched her contact and called David as I saw the name.
"Liam what happened" I heard Ava's worried voice. David picked the call.
"Hel.. " I didn't let him talk.
"David come to hospital as soon as you can. Destiny got into a accident" I heard Ava say 'what' standing up "Please come here quickly" I said.
"Okay Liam, I will come as soon as I can. Be near the room where my cupcake is" he said hanging up.
"Liam what happened to Destiny" Ava asked.
"I was talking on the mobile, suddenly Destiny came and pushed me. After that I saw a car going past us. Then I came to know someone was trying to run a car over me and Destiny saved me. But doing that, she got hurt herself. She is in the emergency room now" I said taking deep breaths.
"I have... I have to be there" I said moving out.
"Wait I will come" I heard Ava voice. I didn't stop and continued walking. I came where Destiny was taken. I sat on the chair near the door. Ava came and sat across me.
Who wanted to kill me by running a car over me? Was he the same person we are searching for? Who is the man following Ava?
So many questions running through my head. I was stressed that my security men were so far and was not reachable. When they picked the call, I ordered them to come here. And it will take a lot of time. I called my private investigator to talk about what happened. I was talking and this happened.
I didn't even get a scratch, yet Destiny was injured badly. She just risked her life to save me. My eyes blurred with tears. I wiped my eyes with my hands. I heard footsteps coming towards us. I looked up and saw David, my parents and Chris coming towards us. I stood up as they reached us.
"What happened, did they say anything" David asked.
I explained them what happened in the parking lot.
"Oh God" my mother gasped.
"I will go and see what is happening" David said going where he came from.
"Are you okay son" my mother came and caressed my cheek.
"I am fine, but Destiny. She..... She was not good. She...... She was..... " I stammered and tears started flowing down my face. My mother hugged me, I hugged her back.
"She saved me mother. But she is hurt and she didn't respond to me" I cried saying to her. She rubbed my back.
"Everything will be alright. As I said she is a strong woman. She will be alright" my mother said softly. I cried on her shoulder. I calmed down and waited for the doctors. Chris went somewhere and came back with a cup. He came towards me and gave it.
"Here, you need this" he said sitting back on the chair.
I looked at the cup and saw, it was coffee.
I drank it and waited. After a long time the door to the emergency room opened.
Along with David, a nurse came out. We all stood up.
The nurse went away from us. David sighed removing his mask he was wearing.
"She has a broken arm. I think while landing she kept her hand on the ground in a odd way and twisted it.
They had put a cast on her arm. She hit her head hard, so the glass piece was stuck on her forehead.
They removed it and it was slightly deep so they stitched it to stop bleeding.
Other than that she is fine. She is still unconscious" David said.
I sat down on the chair and put my face in my hand.
I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw David smiling sadly at me.
"She is be alright. Don't worry. They will shift her to a room in half hour. We can see her there" he said. I nod my head.
I looked around the hospital and saw my security searching someone. I know they are searching for me. I got up and moved towards them. I signaled them out. I stood infront of them.
"I want three people standing outside the Destiny room and two outside the Ava's brother room.
And also I wanted you to keep an eye on Destiny's family as well.
I want an update, if anyone is following us.
I want all of you to do your job sincerely and efficiently.
Am I clear" I said in a serious voice. They all said 'yes sir'.
"I want a new mobile now" I said leaving them and went inside. I talked with the manager of the hospital and settled everything. I took the CCTV footage of the time of accident and sent it to my private investigator through my new mobile. I got a call from my father. I picked it up.
"Liam, Destiny is shifted to a room. It is next to Ava's brother room. David manage to make the arrangements. Come here" he said.
"Okay" I said hanging up. I went upstairs to the room where my father. I opened the door and saw Destiny sleeping on the bed. Her head was bandaged and her right arm had a cast. Everyone was in the room. I slowly made my way towards her and stood beside the bed. I grabbed her unharmed hand.
"When is she going to wake up" I asked looking at David.
"We have wait for her to get up. Did you find out who did this" I shook my head.
"I will find out who did this. Our team is working on it" I said sitting on the chair beside Destiny. David nod his head. He came beside her on the other side and caressed her top of the head.
"Cupcake" he whispered. Everyone sat on the couch. After few hours Amanda, Nick and Elizabeth came. Elizabeth cried seeing her daughter condition. David consoled and assured her. We all waited for Destiny to open her eyes. Ava would run back and forth to the both room.
Soon night came along, and Destiny was still unconscious.
Elizabeth said she would stay. But I convinced that I will stay with her.
She was unsure, but David convinced her and she agreed.
They bought dinner to me but I didn't feel like to eat it.
So I kept it aside. Everyone left the room, even Ava went to her brother room.
So now it's me and my princess only. Looking at her, she seems like she is in deep sleep. I haven't left her hand for a minute. I placed her back of the hand on my cheek and looked at her.
"Wake up princess. I want to see those pretty brown eyes which I had fallen for.
I know you are still mad at me. I will buy anything you ask for.
I will even make your favorite dessert which you love.
Just wake up and talk to me" I talked with desperation.
I want her to talk to me, scold me and beat me if I did anything wrong.
I can't see her like this not doing anything.
I moved towards her cheek and kissed it. I remembered our encounter in the morning. I just teased her to get a kiss. When I am around her, I become a another person. She is my world. I don't know want would I do if she is not here.
"I love you, wake up" I asked placing my head beside her on the bed. I felt my eyes close. I sat up straight and patted my cheeks.
"I should be awake. I will not sleep" I said to myself. I sat like that for another hour just looking at her. It's past eleven now. I placed my hands on the bed and placed my face on it facing her. I looked at Destiny and closed my eyes.
I felt someone ran their fingers in my hair. It was annoying me, I swatted it away. Then I heard a chuckle. I felt someone hold my hand in their soft hands. I knew it's Destiny's. I smiled and bought our hands to my cheek and I held it.
Wait a minute, Destiny moved her hand. I immediately opened my eyes and sat up, looking at Destiny. She was smiling at me with her eyes open. I was surprised to see her awake.
"You are awake" I whispered firstly, then I shouted "You are awake". I leaned down to her and showered her face with my kisses. I kissed her eyes, nose, forehead, her cheeks and finally on her lips. She giggled while I did that. I pulled away and held her shoulder lightly not hurting her.
"Don't you ever do that to me. You scared me to death.
Why would you do that. You should have called my name and say to move from the place.
But you risked your life to save me. I was so worried about you.
You weren't moving and responding to me.
I felt my heart shattered at that time. What if something happened to you really bad.
I didn't even say how much I really love you.
I.... " my words were cut off as she gripped back of my neck with her uninjured hand and pulled me down to her and kissed my lips.
I was surprised at first, but I kissed her back slowly. She pulled away and said.
"I love you too"
