Chapter 61
Destiny's pov
I opened my eyes slowly but I shut it immediately because of bright light in the room.
I opened them again and looked around. I was in a hospital room in a bed.
I was confused. I looked at the window, to see its night already.
Then I remembered the car and Liam. I tried to get up but I felt a pain in my right arm and head.
I looked down to see my right hand was in a cast. And my left hand was held by someone. And it was Liam.
He was sleeping placing his head on his hand. He had held my hand loosely. I pulled my hand away and caressed his cheek. Thank God he is safe. Nothing happened to him.
I ran my fingers in his hair. He frowned and swatted my hand. I chuckled at him, he felt annoying. I smiled looking at him. Slowly I held his hand in mine. He smiled in his sleep and bought our hands to his cheek and held it.
Suddenly he opened his eyes and sat up. He looked surprised to see me awake.
"You are awake" he whispered, then he shouted "You are awake". He leaned down towards me and showered me with his kisses. I giggled while he kissed me all over my face. He pulled away and held my shoulder softly.
"Don't you ever do that to me. You scared me to death.
Why would you do that. You should have called my name and say to move from the place.
But you risked your life to save me. I was so worried about you.
You weren't moving and responding to me.
I felt my heart shattered at that time. What if something really bad happened to you.
I didn't even say how much I really love you.
I.... " I cut off his words as I gripped back of his neck with my uninjured hand and pulled him down to me and kissed his lips.
He looked surprised at first, but he kissed me back slowly. I pulled away and said.
"I love you too"
"What" he asked in shock. I rolled my eyes at him.
"You said 'I love you' and I replied to that as 'I love you too'. Did I say something wrong because couples in love say that right" I said calmly. But my heart was beating rapidly against my chest. I hope he doesn't hear it.
He was still in shock. He opened and closed his mouth like a fish. I rolled my eyes again and pulled him down slightly to me by his collar.
"Are you that shock hearing from me. When you calm down, I want water" I said pecking his lips.
"You really said it" he said pointing to me "I really said it" then he pointed to himself.
"Yeah you said. You ramble sometimes and spill out the beans you hide" I said trying to sit. I feel weak, so I tried to put pressure on my left hand to sit up. But I moved my right arm slightly, and cried in pain.
"Calm down princess. Let me help you" Liam said helping me to sit.
"You were not in your right mind to think. So I thought to help myself" I sighed leaning my back on the pillow, which Liam had put for me.
"Sorry, I didn't expect you to say that this early to me. I was in shock" he said taking a glass of water. He held it to my mouth for me to drink. I drank it. He pulled away after I finished.
"Well I couldn't wait to say it as I found out I loved you" I said smiling at him. He closed his eyes and smiled fully. He took my hand and placed it on his heart.
"Say it again" he asked.
"I love you" his heart started to beat fast as I said. He opened his eyes looked at me.
"See what you do to my heart. I love you too" he said bringing my hand to his lips and kissed it.
"What time is it? And what happened after I pushed you" I asked. He sat on the chair and looked at his watch.
"It's 2am in the night" he looked up at me "After you pushed me, you hit your head at someone's back of the car and fell.
I called out for help. After that I called your dad and he looked after you.
After few hours he said your condition that you have a broken arm and stitches on your forehead" I lifted my head to touch my head. It was wrapped in bandage.
"We all waited for you to get up. But you didn't, so I sent everyone home and stayed back to look after you. Ava's brother is in your next room" he said. I looked ahead of me and started thinking about this.
"Who wanted to hurt you" I whispered. I didn't hear any answer. I turned towards him, he was looking down in deep thoughts. I held his hand tightly.
"Who wanted to hurt you" I asked again. He looked at me.
"I don't know. I am trying my best to find out who did this. I have asked my personal investigator to look for it. I increased the security system around us. I don't know who is it or what's his intention is. I will keep everyone safe" he said giving my hand a squeeze.
"But what about you" I asked looking at him in concern.
"They are not after us Liam, they are after you" I said.
He looked in my eyes. "They want you hurt, don't you see.
They tried to interfior in your personal life, when they know you don't like it.
And I think the person who followed Ava is the same guy who wanted to ruin you" I said. He looked in deep thought.
"They knew you were here. Think of it, when a person is being followed whom would they call.
Obviously to their friends who are near, and Ava called you.
Or if she would have called me you would have come with me.
Because you would help her at any cost. So they did it with complete plan" I said.
I took deep breaths to control my emotions.
"What would have happened if I didn't come down in search of you? What if I didn't see the car?" I said as tears falling down my face.
"I don't want to happen anything to you. I don't want to let you go. I can't live without you" I cried harder and held his face in my hand. He stood up and hugged me not hurting my arm.
"Nothing will happen to me okay. I will make sure of that don't worry" he said rubbing my back, he pulled away and wiped my tears "Stop crying, your head is still injured.
Don't put to much pressure on it. For now take rest princess" he kissed my head.
I nod my head sniffling. After few seconds I heard his stomach growling.
I chuckled and pulled away from him. His face was heating up.
"You didn't have dinner, did you" I asked leaning back on the pillow.
"No, I didn't feel like to eat" he said scratching his head.
"Well you are hungry, eat it then" I said.
"Eat with me" he said taking a box from the table.
We both ate the food. Then he helped me to lay down on the bed.
I asked him to lay down beside me, but he refused it.
He didn't want to hurt me. I said he won't. He replied he was worried about my sleeping positions, because if he is near me.
I seem to cuddle very near to him and I might hurt my arm.
Well he is right though. He sat on the chair beside me, held my left hand and waited for me to sleep. I slept of quickly.
I woke up due to the disturbance in the room.
I opened my eyes and looked around. I found Alex and Ava arguing with each other at the corner of the room.
Liam was sleeping on the couch peaceful.
My mom was doing something on the table beside me.
She turned towards me and looked at me for a second and looked back.
Her eyes went wide and turned back to me.
"Hi mom" I said smiling at her.
"Oh dear, you are awake" my mom smiled coming towards me. She hugged me tightly. I cried in pain as she touched my right arm. She pulled away immediately and looked at me in alert.
"Oh sorry dear. You want to sit up" she asked. I nod my head. She helped me sitting up. I looked at my friends who are arguing. They didn't see me yet. Who thought that, sweet talking friends turned into a cute couple fight.
"Guys what are you arguing about" I asked. They both were glaring at each other.
"Don't worry Elizabeth, this thing...... " Ava stopped talking and looked at me. I smiled at her.
"Sky" she said coming beside me.
"You are awake. Thank God you are fine" she said hugging me slightly. She pulled back.
"I woke up at the midnight before. I am fine now, except this" I said pointing out the cast. I looked at Alex.
"When did you come here" I asked. My mom gave me a fresh orange juice. I took it.
"Liam called me in the morning and said everything happened here. I came here as soon as I can. So you good?" he asked standing beside Ava.
"Yeah, I am good" I said and looked at Liam. How can he sleep when they were arguing. He is not a heavy sleeper like me. He would get up if he here a small sound.
"When I came here in the morning, he was drifting to sleep. I think he was up all night looking after you. So I told him to take a rest until I was here" my mom said. I nod my head smiling as I drank the juice.
"Where is dad" I asked looking at her.
"He has already started his shift, he said he will be here at 9.30" she looked at her watch "and that is...... " at the same time dad came in from the door "......now".
"How are you cupcake, are you feeling any pain" he asked coming beside me. I gave my glass to my mom after completing it.
"Good, but I feel little pain in the arm" I said looking down at it.
"It will be like that for few days. You should not move your hand much. It may take 10-12 weeks for healing your hand. You should be careful about it. How is your head?" he said examing me.
"There is not much pain in my head. It is good. When am I going home" I said.
"Good, I will give the medicine you need to take it on daily basis. By today evening you will be discharged" he said. Suddenly he looked at me and chuckled. I looked at him confused.
"I didn't know one day I will be treating my child like this. As a doctor and patient. It's funny" everyone laughed at his statement. I pouted at them. I looked at Liam, he was looking at me smiling. He sat up on the couch. Everyone looked at him.
"My Liamy is awake. How are you my friend" Alex said in a baby voice moving towards Liam to hug him, but Liam placed his hand on Alex's face and pushed it back getting up.
He came towards me. Alex stood there in shock with wide arms. Ava laughed out loud grabbing her stomach. Everyone chuckled except Liam.
"Wow, you did good Liam" Ava said lifted her hand up for high-five. Liam gave it. Alex glared at both and sat on the couch pouting.
"Why am I not welcomed here. You are happy right Destiny" Alex asked looking at me. I nod my head.
"At least someone is happy" Alex said sulking on the couch. Ava turned and started talking to my mom. I looked at Alex, he was looking at Ava with a glint in his eyes. When she would smile, he would smile too.
Oh Oo, someone is catching feelings here.
I smiled and looked at Liam. He was also looking at Alex. My dad went out.
"Where are your parents" I asked Liam.
"They are in your sister home looking after Nick. Amanda came to work" he said.
"What about your work and your parents" I asked.
"One day leave won't be much pain. You just rest, don't think otherwise" he said. I nod my head.
