Chapter Six

Hudson

“Miss Whitlock, a word after class, please.”

“Yes, Sir.”

Twenty minutes later, the last student exits the room, leaving me alone with the very definition of trouble. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.

Her hips sway as she saunters toward the desk I’m still sitting behind.

Fuck, she’s gorgeous. From her crystal blue eyes to her delicately painted toes, there’s not a single part of her I don’t find sinfully attractive.

“What can I do for you, Sir?”

There’s so much I want you to do for me, baby girl.

Ignoring the urge to spread her across my desk and have her for lunch, I tap the paper next to my laptop. “This paper you submitted.”

She cocks her head at me. “What about it?”

“It’s good. Seriously good, Mia.”

“Thank you.” She seems taken aback by my words.

“What is it you want to pursue after you graduate?” Say me. I want you to pursue me, though I’m not sure I can wait until you graduate.

“Corporate Finance.”

Well, shit. That’s not what I was expecting. She’ll be damn good at it, though, she has that cutthroat attitude required in the field.

“Have you thought of studying another course alongside this one?”

“I’ve considered it.” She shrugs, but I can see interest sparking behind those intelligent blue eyes.

“I think you should combine your MBA with the CFA. It’ll be a lot of work, but you’re more than capable.”

“That would be even more classes with you, seeing as you’re covering all of Professor James’ classes.”

“It would, yes.” My swallow is audible and I watch her eyes drop to my throat, her gaze darkening as she stares at me.

“You think you can handle more of me?”

I want nothing more than to handle you. “I think I’m the only one who can handle you.”

“Oh, Dean Davenport.” She smirks at me. “Nobody can handle me.”

“Unfortunately for you, you won’t ever get the chance to see just how well I’d handle you.” My palm twitches with the urge to spank her, to bring her to heel and tame that brat.

“You sure you know what you’re doing with me, Dean?”

Not a fucking clue.

“Nothing, Miss Whitlock. We’re not doing anything.”

“Keep telling yourself that, but we both know it’s not true,” she mutters as she heads toward the door.

I’m in so much trouble.

Walking out of class that afternoon I see a missed call from my father, and my heart sinks at the sight. Pulling up the group chat with my brothers I fire off a quick message.

Hudson: I have a missed call from dad, anything I need to prepare myself for?

Elliot: Nope. It’ll be the usual

Marcus: Don’t listen to whatever bullshit he throws at you. You know we’re proud of what you do

Hudson: I know

Elliot: Go and have an affair with a hot student, that’ll really piss mom and dad off

Marcus: Hudson’s too straight-laced for that

Elliot: He’s yet to respond…

Hudson: Sometimes I prefer dad to you two

Elliot: Ouch

Marcus: That’s just wrong
