Chapter 3 /Edited
Its been a month since we moved and the week was coming to an end and Celeste invited me to a sleepover. My mom said yes and I said I would be there at 5pm. This would be my first sleepover on the count of at my old school, I never tried to make friends.
I was walking home when I felt a arm around my shoulder. I looked to see Eric. This whole week, his been watching me and he would only talk to me when he walks me home. He spoke most of the time but the more he spoke about himself, the more I found myself falling for him.
So much for never having a boyfriend. I was never interested in dating. "So. What you doing this weekend?" Eric asked.
" Imgoing to a sleepover with Celeste." I said. Eric stopped walking making me stop aswell.
"Celeste Thompson?" He questioned.
"Yeah." I said and continued walking. He caught up with me.
"You shouldn't trust them." Eric said. I didnt question him on why and all that.
"Can I ask you something?" Eric asked.
We reached my house and I turned to Eric. "What?" He looked at the floor then back at me.
"Dont go to the sleepover." He said. I gave him a confused look. Before I could say anything he said. "Please."
Eric looked more like the tough guy type. I looked at Eric and he looked really worried. First Celeste tells me to stay away from Eric and now Eric tells me to stay away from them. "I already told Celeste that I would be there in the next three hours." I said.
Eric looked defeated. I didn't like seeing him sad. Before I went into my house I gave Eric a small kiss on the cheek. "I promise I'll be safe." I said and went inside. I looked out the window to see Eric happier than anything.
I couldn't help but blush. Am I really falling for a guy I barely know? I packed my things and waited for my mom to get home. I placed my bags in the living room and went to the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of water and took a sip when I heard the front door open.
"Mom!" I called out.
"Its me Blake. Should I take you to your friend house now?" She asked.
"Sure." I answered. I grabbed my bag and made my way to the car. I put my bag in the back seat and sat in the passenger seat.
We drove through the forest and stopped at a mansion. "You didn't say you friend was rich." My mom said.
"Believe me when I say that I didn't know either. See you on Sunday." I told my mom and grabbed my bag.
I walked up to the front door and my mom drove off. I knocked on the door and Jason opened it. "Well. The lovely Blake has arrived." He said. "Follow me." I followed him into the house. He lead me up a flight of stairs and he showed me which door to go to.
I knocked on the door and Celeste opened. "Blake you made it. Come in. This is my room." She said. She took my bag and walked in. Her room was a bright pink. It looked like Barbie designed the room.
"Who else is coming?" I asked.
"My older sister Leah and two of my other friends, Jane and Gabriella but we call her Gabby." She said. I sat on her bed and twenty minutes later, the others got here.
"Hi. You must be Blake. Celeste tells me how an amazing friend you are everyday." A girl who I assume is Celeste sister, Leah.
"Yeah. Your sister is actually my first friend." I said.
"What does that mean?" Celeste asked.
"Well back in the city everyone wasn't very nice so I wouldn't talk to anyone." I explained. "You don't have to feel sorry for me." I said.
"Im Gabriella and thats Jane." Gabriella introduced. I gave them a warm smile and the sleepover began. It started getting dark and we ended up giving each other a makeover. Of course I said no but then Leah asked me to do her makeup.
"Come on. Blake just do it." She said. She sat on a chair and waited for me to do her make up. I stood in front of her and started. Luckily my mom used to teach me if I ever wanted to wear makeup.
It took me about thirty minutes until I finished her makeup. "And done." Leah looked in the mirror and gasped.
"I look like Ariana Grande." She said. I just laughed and the other girls couldn't believe the skills I have with makeup.
"Why dont you ever wear makeup? Your so good." Celeste asked.
"I always tell myself that I look more pretty without makeup." I explained.
"Excuse me. Pretty is an understatement. You are beautiful." We all turned to see Jason standing at the door.
"Oh wow. Jason has a crush." Jane said. Jason lowered his head but I didn't see it. I don't see anything interesting in him.
"Im actually here because my dad is looking for Celeste and Leah. He said it would only take two minutes." Jason said.
Leah and Celeste left the room and followed Jason. Gabby, Jane and I sat there talking. They did most of the talking. My phone buzzed and I check to see a message from an unknown number. I opened to see the message
Unknown: Hey love. Hows the sleepover?
Thats when I realised it was Eric. For some reason I got excited. What is wrong with me?
Me: Hey. Firstly, stop calling me love. Secondly, its fun. Don't worry.
I replied. I put my phone away and layed on the mattress. An hour passed by, Gabby and Jane fell asleep. I thought we were going to watch a movie. My phone buzzed and I check to see it was from Eric.
Eric: Are you still awake love?
Me: Yeah. Celeste and her sister are talking to their parents and Gabby and Jane fell asleep.
Eric: Can we hang out when you get back on Sunday?
Me:I'll see if Im available.
I put my phone down and went to the bathroom. After I did my business, I heard the door open then close. "What are we going to do?" Celeste asked.
"I don't know. Eric is watching Blake and he says she is his mate." Leah said.
"Eric can't be Blake's mate. For one he is a hybrid and he doesn't have feelings. Two Blake is human. She isnt a wolf. If Eric is Blake's mate then Im keeping her away from him." Celeste said.
What are they talking about? Mates? Eric? Hybrid? What the fuck is this? "I dont care if it is illegal. I will kidnap Blake just to make sure she is safe." Celeste said and stormed out of the room.
Leah went after her and I got out of the bathroom. I layed on the mattress and just went to bed. My phone went off and I check to see it was drom Eric. I opened the message.
Eric: Then can we hang out at school on Monday?
I layed down and stared at the wall. My eye lids got heavy and I fell asleep.
I woke up to an empty room. I must have slept in. I sat up and took my phone. I checked the time to see it was seven in the morning. Where are the others? What time did they wake up?
I got up and put on clean clothes. I put on a pair of ripped jeans and a red shirt with my black sneakers. I brushed my hair into a high ponytail and went downstairs.
On my way down, I bumped into Jason. "Jason. Do you know where your sister is?" I asked.
"Yeah. They're in the kitchen." He said. I made my way to the kitchen and found them.
"Morning guys." I said and they said it back. "So. What time did you guys get up?" I asked. They all looked at each other then it fell silent. Celeste gave me a plate of pancakes and I started eating. Still waiting on an answer.
"You know what. Forget I asked." I said. I left the rest of the pancakes and went outside. I still couldn't shake off what Celeste and Leah spoke about last night.
Leah came outside and stood next to me. "Is something wrong?" She asked me. I sighed and told her. "I heard you and Celeste talking last night." I said. She looked worried.
"About that..."
"It doesn't matter. I don't care what that was about." I said and went back inside.
We sat in the living room and watched a movie. I got bored half way through the movie. I looked at the others and they seemed to really focus on the movie. "Is something bothering you Blake?" Jane asked. Everyone turned their attention to me.
"Im just bored. The movie isn't that interesting." I said. Gabby and Leah agreed with me.
"How about we go shopping?" Celeste asked. I disagreed with it but everyone else wanted to go.
"Come on Blake. It could be fun." Gabby said.
"Ugh... fine." I reluctantly agreed. Leah told Jason to take us to the mall and pick us up later. When we got their the girls immediately pulled me into a clothing shop.
They tried different dresses when I just looked at the jeans. "Not happening Blake. Go fit this on." Celeste handed me a maroon dress and shoved me into a dressing room.
"I dont wear dresses guys." I said.
"Just put it on." They said at the same time. I sighed in defeat and put on the dress. It was knee length with a lace on the top. The strap went around the neck and I must admit it looked pretty.
"How long does it take for you to put on a dress Blake?" Leah asked.
"Hold your horses." I replied. I walked out of the dressing room and towards the girls. They all gasp and I think I look ugly in it.
"What? Not my colour?" I asked.
"Wait." Jane said. She went behind me and took my hair tie off. My hair fell in a gorgeous way and they all looked at me with awe.
"You look absolutely beautiful." Gabby said.
My phone buzzed and I checked it while the others looked for another dress for me to try on. I open the message to see it was from Eric.
Eric: You look beautiful in that dress love.
Me: Stalker.
Eric: Ouch.
I put my phone away and Gabby gave me a emerald green drees. They pushed me into the dressing room and waited. I took off the maroon dress and put on the green dress.
I looked in the mirror. The dress was also knee long but was long sleeve. My chest was reveling but I didnt care. Who knew green would look so good on me.
I walked out to the same expression as last time. They gave me a few more dresses and I became a model. Some of the other customers even joined in on giving me dresses to try on.
Eric, who was nowhere to be seen, kept sending me compliments over the phone. "Ok. One last dress then Im done." I told everyone. The store manager then walked up to me and handed me a dress.
"Try this one. It just got put on sale and Im sure you would look amazing in it." She said. I took the dress and went to the dressing room. I looked at the dress and couldn't believe my eyes.
I put the dress on and looked at my reflecting in the mirror. The dress reached my ankles and was sleeveless. It was a magnificent deep blue colour with patterns on it. I made my hair right before I walked out.
I walked out of the dressing room and everyone started taking pictures. Some told me to pose and I gave my best poses. I heard someone say I would make the perfect model.
"This dress looks amazing on you. How much is it?" Leah asked the manager.
"Well. That dress is about 2000 dollars." She said. There was no why I could ever afford this dress.
"We'll take it." Celeste said.
"No." I stopped her.
"Why not?" They asked me.
"I dont want you guys buying me things. The dress is beautiful but I will stick to jeans." I said and walked back into the changing room.
When I was done changing, I saw that the girls already bought some clothes. We left the store and looked for a restaurant. We spent two hours in the clothing store. I was exhausted and ready to go back.
We got starbucks and like they read my mind, Celeste called Jason to pick us up. When Jason got here, we put the stuff in the trunk and then we got into the car.
"How was the shopping spree?" He asked us.
"It was more like a modeling show." I said. Jason looked confused and Gabby explained everything. Jason was speechless.
"Well Blake. You must be exhausted." He said.
"You have no idea." He started the car and drove back to their house. I stared out the window and fell asleep.
