Chapter 4 / Edited
When I woke up I was in a pink room. Yeah this definitely Celeste room. I went downstairs to see them talkjng and the girls were showing Jason and his friend pictures.
"That better not be me." I said. They all turned to me and smiled.
"Sleeping beauty woke up. In my opinion the pink dress was my favourite." Derek, Gabby's boyfriend and Jason's best friend said.
I looked at the picture and my mouth almost dropped. I was wearing a bright pink dress that was so tight I could bearly breath. "I could barely breath in that." I said. "I tried on so many dresses I forgot what half of them looked like." I said
They laughed at me and saw the bags on the table. "What did you guys buy?"I asked and looked in the bags.
"Wait!" Leah said but I already pulled out the maroon dress they made me try on.
I turned to them and they avoided looking at me. "Did you seriously buy this dress?" I asked. They stayed silent until Jane spoke.
"It looks nice on you and Celeste said you had to have it." She said.
I looked at Celeste and she just smiled. Of course. "What else did you buy?" I asked but I didn't look in the bags. Gabby walked to the bags and handed me four of them.
"These are yours." She said.
They were some of the other dresses I fit on. "Come on!" I looked and them and the boys laughed. "Im not taking this." I said.
"Yes you are." Leah said. I rolled my eyes and put the bags down.
"Who wants to play a game?" Gabby asked to break the silence.
"Me!" Everyone but me said.
"Sound like a good idea." I said We sat in a circle and Celeste spoke.
"Lets play truth or dare." She said.
"Are you serious?" Liam, Jane's boyfriend asked.
"Yes. Also if you dont do a dare and dont answer truthfully we get to slap you." Celeste explained. Everyone agreed to play.
Jason started. "Ok. Gabby truth or dare?"
"I'll go with truth." Gabby said.
"Is it true that you are bisexual?" Jason asked. Everyone looked shocked.
"Sadly yes." Gabby said. Celeste gasped.
"How come you never told me?" Celeste asked. Gabby just shrugged.
"Ok...Max, truth or dare?" Gabby asked Max. Max is Leah's boyfriend.
"Dare." He said.
"Let me just try something. I dare you to kiss the prettiest girl here." She said. Leah glared at Gabby but she ignored her. Max looked nervous and looked at all of us.
It looked like he didn't know what to do. He finally got up and kissed me on the cheek. "Leah. Please dont kill me kill him." I said. Leah looked mad.
"Oh, so Im not pretty?" Leah asked angrily.
"What? I was supposed to be honest." He said. Leah just rolled her eyes. "Ok. Leah truth or dare?" Max asked.
"Dare." She answered.
"I dare you to kiss me." He said. Leah didn't move from her spot. She eventually got up and kissed him and Leah couldn't help but smile. Glad that drama is over.
"Ok. Blake truth or dare?" Leah asked me. I thought about long and hard.
"I'll go with truth." I said and she smiled.
"Would you date Jason for three hundred bucks." I looked at Jason then at the floor.
"If Im being honest. No." I said.
"Ouch." Celeste said. They all started laughing at my answer and Jason looked hurt. I had to be honest. I would date Eric though. Why am I even thinking of him?
"Uhm Celeste, truth or dare?" I asked.
"Truth." She answered.
"What is your deepest secret you never told me about?" I asked and everyone looked away.
Whats wrong? Its just a question. Or wasnt I suppose to answer that? The room was so quiet. "Wait. Do you all know her deepest secret?" I asked. "I will take that silence as a yes. Then how come I don't know? Dont you trust me?" I asked. I felt hurt. We told each other everything.
I dont even have secrets being kept from them. They know everything. "Its not that we dont trust you. Its just that you might not understand." Jason said.
"The fact that everyone knows but me. It kinda hurts being left in the dark you know." I said and got up for some air.
"Blake wait." Celeste grabbed my arm and my phone started ringing. It was an unknown number. I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hi. Is this Blake Wilson?" I didn't recognize the voice.
"Yes. Who is this?" I asked.
"Im calling from RH hospital. Your mom fell down the stairs at work and broke her arm. You were the emergency number. She fell unconscious but she is ok. She has a small concussion but she will recover." She said.
"Ok. Im on my way." I started to panic.
"Whats wrong?" Celeste asked.
"My mom fell at work. She is in the hospital." I said as I walked away. I didn't know what to do.
I just wanted to get to her now. "Calm down. We'll take you." Jason said.
"Dont tell me to calm down!" I raged at him. Liam grabbed the car key and drove me and Celeste to the hospital.
Once we got there, they immediately showed me which room she was in. I rushed there and saw my mom with a cast on her arm. When she saw me she was surprised.
"Mom are you ok?" I asked.
"Im fine. I told them not to call you but they dont listen." She laughed then held her head in pain.
"Ok just lay down. Dont over do things." I said, still in a panic.
"Im fine. You dont have to worry." She said. The doctor walked in and smiled.
"Well. This must be your daughter. Im doctor Hale. Your mom is stubborn." He said. I laughed and agreed with him. "We will keep her here for tonight and then she can leave tomorrow." He said.
I thanked him and he left. "Your so clumsy mom." I said. I looked at the door to see Celeste and Liam still here. "You guys can go. I can stay here." I said.
"No. You go back with them and enjoy your sleepover." My mom said.
"But..."
"No buts. Go." My mom said. I reluctantly agreed with her and went back with them.
The car drive was silent and I didnt care. I kept thinking about my dad and what happened that one day and so scared my mom would go through the same thing. When we got back to the house Celeste dragged me into the house and sat me on the couch.
"Ok. Something is bothering you and it has something to do with you mom." She said. I looked at her and didnt utter a word.
"Blake. Talk to us." Gabby said.
"You can tell us anything." Leah said and Jane agreed with them. I took a deep breath and looked at them.
"When I was nine, my dad got into an accident. He was brought to the hospital and into immediate surgery. It took about five hours and when the docters came out..." I stopped and I felt the tears running down my cheek.
"He died of blood loss." I said. I hid my face in my hands and started to cry.
The girls gave me a hug and comforted me.
"The last thing he told me was that he would always be there for me.
That day, for some reason I couldn't cry.
I was so depressed I shut out the opportunity to make friends. " I said
"Its ok." Celeste said. I hugged them back and it felt so good to get that off my chest. I felt lighter. Soon it started to get dark and we all just went to bed but I couldnt sleep.
I stared at the ceiling wishing for something to happen. Something to keep me busy so I don't have to worry about my mom. Or maybe I just need to stop worrying so much and just trust my mom when she said she will be fine.
