Chapter 5 /Edited

The next morning I wake up at three in the morning. I got up and got dressed in some comfortable clothing and tied my hair into a messy bun. I went outside and took a jog in the forest.

I felt so at peace here. It was calming quiet and there was no one but the creatures of the forest here. I took a rocky path for fun. I walked on the rocks keeping my balance.

I need to make sure I thank mom for making me take ballet lessons for five years. I ran along side a river and something ran into me. I fell to the ground hurting my ankle.

I looked up to see two wolves fighting. Wait it can't be wolves cause their the size of a car. They were fighting and didn't even notice me. They kept fighting and got closer to me.

The brown wolf was thrown across the field and I screamed. The grey wolf looked at me will its creepy brown eyes. Two other wolves came out of nowhere and attacked the grey wolf.

I got up and tried to run away. I ran back into the direction of the house but my ankle started getting worse. I pushed myself to keep running and finally found the house.

The sun was out and Celeste rushed outside with the others behind her. When they saw me they ran to me. "Blake are you ok?" Celeste asked me. Thats when reality hit me. The panic rushed to me and I couldnt speak.

"Blake what happened?" Leah asked. I finally got the courage to speak.

"Th-there we-were wolves the size of bears fight near a river. They came out of nowhere." I said. Gabby and Celeste took me inside while Leah and Jane stayed outside.

Gabby got me a glass of water and Celeste bandaged my ankle. It swelled up when I ran. They tried to calm me down but I was to shocked. I couldn't process what I just saw.

"Can someone tell me why those wolves were big?" I asked. Thats when a man that looked like an older version of Jason walked in.

"Is everyone alright?" He asked.

"Yeah dad but..." Celeste ran up to him and whispered something in his ear.

Then it looked like they were talking without speaking then looked at me. "Tell her." Mr Thompson said. Celeste just shook her head. Then a woman with beautiful blonde her walked in and sat next to me.

"Hello dear. Im Celeste mom." She said.

"Im Blake." She smiled and then her smile disappeared.

"Im gonna tell you something but, you need to keep an open mind about this." She said.

Celeste seemed scared and I was just confused. What was going on? "What you saw in the woods was our pack warriors." She said. I looked at her confused. "We arent normal people. We're werewolves." They said. I laughed.

"Right. I think Im gonna go outside for a little." I said. I went outside to see the grey wolf again. Leah was standing in front of it. It charged at Leah and she turned into a wolf.

More wolves came out of nowhere and helped her. What did I just witness? My heart was going faster by the minute. I looked at Celeste. She came closer to me and I backed up.

Even though I had a sore ankle I ran away from there. I ignored there shouts and just kept running. I dont know how long I ran but I made it to my house. I went inside and tried to breath.

I couldn't breathe. I was having a panic attack. I sat in the living room and opened all the windows. I thought it would help but it didnt. I fell to the floor. I heard the door open and footsteps coming closer.

I looked to see my mom. "BLAKE!" She screamed and ran to me. "Breathe Blake breathe." She said in a panic. Thats when Eric walked in.

"What happened?" He looked worried and tried to help.

"I don't know. I came home and found her like this." My mom said.

"Take off her top." Eric said. My mom looked at him like she was going to kill him. "It will help her." He said.

Eric helped my mom and my chest felt lighter. Eric walked into the kitchen and came back with some water. I drank the water and my breathing went back to normal.

They helped me sit on the couch and I felt better. "You ok?" Eric asked. I nodded a yes. My heart was still racing and like Eric knew, he took my hand and I calmed down abit. But thats when I thought, what if he could be like them too.

I pulled my hand away and he looked hurt. "Anyway. I have to go." Eric said. My mom thanked him for his help and he left. My mom asked me over and over what happened but I refused to tell her.

Soon it dark and I helped my mom with dinner. There was a knock on the door and my mom answered it. I took a peek to see Celeste and Jason. My mom closed the door and looked at me.

"If you had a fight with your friends you could've just said so. They brought your things." My mom handed me my bag. I sat to eat dinner with my mom then we went to our rooms.

I grabbed my towel and took a shower. I washed off all the stress and shock of today. I felt so relaxed. I dried off and put on my pajamas. Before I got into bed I heard a knock. I looked at my window to see Jason.

He opened my window and came into my room. "Can we talk?" He asked. I gestured for him to sit on my bed and we sat down. "We didn't want you to find out this way but-"

"But nothing. You had millions of opportunities to tell me about it. You and Celeste." I said. He looked heartbroken.

"You need to understand that it isn't easy for us." He said.

His once sad expression turned into a disgusted one. He walked around my room and picked up my top I wore today. "What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Was Eric here?" He asked.

"Yeah." I answered. I heard a low growl come from him and I was so confused.

"You can't trust him." He said. My mom then knocked on my door.

"Who you talking to Blake?" She asked

"Im on the phone." I said.

"Ok." She said and walked back to her room. Jason looked at me then walked to the window.

"Im serious Blake. Stay away from Eric." He said and left.

What is wrong with everyone? I fell on my bed and screamed into my pillow. Maybe I should go to a gym to get rid of some energy. I got under my blankets and fell asleep.

Its monday. I wasnt feeling so well. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and ran to the bathroom. Great! Im on my period! I hated this time of the month. I walked back to bed and didn't want to go to school.

Thats when my mom waked up. "Get up. Time for school." She said.

"No." I replied. She glared at me like I killed her hamster.

"Why not?" She asked.

"Im on my period and Im still tired." I said. She pulled my blanket off of my and tugged on my arm.

"Get the hell up. Your going to school." She said.

I rolled my eyes and got ready. I had to walk since my mom cant drive. I grabbed my bag and walked to school. When I got there I headed straight to class. I didn't want to talk to anyone.

Finally it was lunch time. I skipped breakfast cause I got up late. I grabbed some lunch and spotted Celeste and the others. They waved me over to sit with them.

I headed out the doors to the field ignoring them. I sat on the bleachers and read my book. If you curious to what Im reading, its called The Mark. I took a bite of my cheese sandwich and my book was snatched out of my hand.

I looked to see it was Celeste, Gabby, Jane and Jason, Liam, Derek and Shawn, Celeste boyfriend. "What do you want?" I asked not making any eye contact. They sat next to me.

"As much as we want to talk about yesterday, we need to talk about Eric." Celeste said. I was starting to get sick of this.

"God. That smell is awful. Blake are you on you period?" Shawn asked.

I didnt answer that. They all laughed at Shawn and I held back a smile. "Ok Shawn. Just ignore that." Jason said.

"What do you have against Eric?" What did he do?" I asked. I still felt uncomfortable around them.

"Ok first, we will never hurt you. Second, Eric is-"

"Im what?" We all turned to see Eric and I heard numerous growls come from all of them. "Blake come here." He said.

"Don't listen to him." Jane said. Eric's eyes turned black and I got scared. I think he sensed it cause his eyes went back to their beautiful emerald green.

"Blake. I need to talk to you." Eric said.

Jason and the boys stood in front of him blocking his path to get to me. "Out of my way." Eric said. Celeste and the girls tried to get me out of here but I didn't want to budge.

"Stay away from Blake." Liam said. Eric seemed to get angrier by the second.

"Get out of the way. She's mine." He growled. I jumped up and went inside with Celeste and the others.

I looked back at Eric and he looked hurt. I felt guilty for just leaving him. We walked into the school and I just went to my next class. I needed a break from all of this. Luckily the holidays were near.
