Chapter 9/Edited
Its been three days since I saw Eric. He said he had to go to vampire territory for a while on Tuesday and that was the last day I saw him. I missed him and I have been trying to keep him off my mind.
He told me not to worry but its hard not to. I have been at the gym half of the day and the other half I would go to the pack when Gabriel and Nate were on patrol. Since they were the only ones who knew I was their luna.
I kept myself distracted as much as I could but nothing was working. After I kisssd him, I felt this strong pull to him and I didn't want to leave his side. I read in the book that the mate bond brings mates closer. It makes them feel each others feelings.
I don't know if he felt how worried and anxious I was. I needed to see him but he wasn't home. I was currently at home making different desserts for the last eight hours. Now we had no eggs, milk and flour.
The fridge was full of tarts, meringue and there were different cakes, cupcakes, flap jacks and pancakes. There is a difference between pancakes and flap jacks. Just saying.
My mom had a lot of paperwork to do so she had to stay late. She would be so exhausted and I got worried that she might over work herself. That is why I had the perfect plan to distract me and give my mom some time off.
I asked my mom yesterday to asked for three days off and now I was just waiting for an answer. Day turned into night and I was still waiting for my mom to come home.
It was 9pm and I was still waiting but I was watching Lucifer. I was eating one of my cupcakes and had some tea to calm my nerves about Eric.
It is midnight and my mom still hasnt come home. I was about to go to her work place when she walked in by the door. She dropped her bag on the floor and I went to give her a hug.
"Mom, why are you home so late?" I asked.
"My boss at first didn't like the idea of me taking a few days off but since I always finish everything, he agreed." She said. I smiled and let her go to her room.
I heard her bedroom door shut and I went up to my room. I pulled out my laptop and searched for a relaxing place to go to. The name 'Daylights rest' popped up and it had all this things a spa would have. I booked for my mom and I then went to bed.
The next day, I woke up and let my mom sleep in. Our appointment was only at 10am so we had time. I also thought it would be a great time to bring up Eric. I haven't told her anything yet but I think I should.
Soon my mom woke up and I gave her a plate of pancakes and a cup of coffee. "So mom. I made a spa appointment at a place called Daylights rest. It at ten so once your done we can leave." I said. She smiled and drank her coffee.
"Thats so sweet of you Blake. You didn't have to do that." She said. She looked at me closely and I found that...weird. "Where did you get that necklace?" She asked. I opened my mouth but nothing came out.
"Thats a story for later. After the spa treatment." I said. I ran up the stairs to put something else on. I put on a blue tracksuit with my white nikes. I looked at the time and it was 9:30. Time moves fast when you have plans.
I went downstairs and my mom grabbed her purse. We went outside and got into the car. My mom drove us to the spa and we had ten minutes left. Man this place is far from our house.
We got out and went inside. I walked up to the receptionist and she looked at me. "How can I help you?" She asked with a smile.
"Hi. I made a booking yesterday. It should be under the name Carmine Parker." I said. She looked through a book then back at us.
"Yes. You are right on time. Go in over there a go to room five." She said.
"Thank you." My mom said. We walked to the locker room and put our towels on. We sat on the beds waiting for our masseuses to arrive. Once they did we lied down and they started to work their magic.
I felt so relaxed. "So. Do you want to tell me about your necklace." My mom said.
"Yeah about that. Do you remember Eric?" I asked her.
"The boy who helped you. Yes I remember him." She replied.
"Well he goes to my school and he is maybe trying to win my heart." I said.
"What?! If he wants to be your boyfriend then he can take you." My mom said. I was shocked at her reply. I didn't expect that.
"So your not mad or anything?" I asked.
"Of course not. You were such an introvert in the city but now that we moved here. It seems like your life changed." She said.
She was right about that. My life did change. I made friends with wolves, found out I was a wolf's mate and that I made friends without even trying to. It wasn't my life that just changed. I changed aswell. I liked the new me. So did my mom apparently.
After our day at the spa we went for ice cream then went home. Thats when my mom saw all the desserts I made. We had cake for lunch and watched Lucifer.
An hour later I got a message on my phone. I opened the message to see it was from Celeste and it said. You need to come over now. Eric is badly injured. I started to panic.
I didn't want to leave our mother daughter time but Eric was hurt. "Uhm mom. Is it ok if I go to Celeste." I asked.
"Sure. Get out of the house. I would love to spend some time alone and just relax." She said.
I gave her a hug then left. I didn't know how to drive so I ran. I ran as fast as I could until I was in the woods. I was out of breath but I had to keep going. Thats when a brown wolf walked up to me.
I backed up a bit but then I noticed something. The wolf had blue eyes like Jason. "Jason?" I asked. He nodded his head and went on the ground. He gestured with his snout that I should get on his back.
I was hesitant at first but I got on. I needed to see Eric. Once I was on, I held onto his fur and he ran off. We were moving fast and I didn't like it. I kept my head down as he ran past the trees.
In a few seconds we were at his house. I rushed inside and saw Celeste. "Where is he?" I asked.
"His this way. His awake and he told me not to tell you but Leah insisted." She explained.
I followed her to the second floor and into a recovery room. I went in and Eric didn't look happy to see me. "Who told her?" He asked them.
"I told Celeste to." Leah said. Celeste pulled Leah out and I walked to Eric.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked him. "Where were you? Why haven't you beeen answering my calls?" I asked. He held me tight in a hug and I hugged him back. I felt his breath on my neck then I broke the hug, waiting for answers.
"The vampires sent me to the mountains and left me there. I got back fast but then they started a fight. It was ten against one but Im fine Blake." He said. I felt the tears sting in my eyes and I held back my tears.
Just the thought of him getting hurt and almost killed. "Blake Im ok." He tried to reassure me when he winced in pain. I looked to see bandages rapped around his torso.
Im sure I was crying cause Eric wiped away one of my tears. "Dont cry Blake. It won't happen again." He said.
"It better not." I warned him. Even though I knew it might, I just wanted him to say it.
He pulled me in for another hug to calm me down. Mr Thompson walked in which made me hold Eric tighter. "That hurts Blake." Eric said and I let him go.
"Sorry." I apologized.
We looked at Mr Thompson. "Eric, the doctor said you could leave now but you have to stay in bed for atleast two days before you are completely healed." Mr Thompson said.
Eric nodded his head and got up. I walked him out and to the front door. Nate was there with a car, waiting for Eric. "I guess I will see you in two days then." I said. I helped him to the car. "I don't want the pack to get suspicious about me." I said.
Eric agreed with me and Nate took him back to their territory. I felt heartbroken. I couldn't go with him. I didn't know what to do. I sat on one of the steps and stared into the direction of Erics territory.
"Should we take you home?" I looked behind me to see Leah and Derek. Derek had his car key in his hand, ready to take me home. I nodded a yes and we went to his car. We got in and he drove me home.
