Nightingale of the Nightclub

Nala’s sister is dead, and her killer has disappeared into Xan Ravenwood’s hidden empire of excess in the Pacific Northwest.

The Aviary stays shut to outsiders until Varen Lake, a mysterious tech savant, offers Nala a way in if she will submit.

Nala takes the name Nightingale and must present herself as Varen’s devoted submissive while she searches for what really happened.

Varen’s touch steadily undermines the distance Nala meant to keep, and it is soon clear that Varen is guarding a private heartbreak as well.

Wanting her could destroy the investigation, yet pulling away from Varen may cost Nala the only cover she has.
