Leseldh
“I can’t get enough of you tonight,” he breathed against his Resonant’s skin and revelled in the way she shivered against him.
“I can tell.” She turned around in his embrace to face him. Her arms encircled his neck, and she pressed her body against his. Her knowing smile told him she could now feel his need pressing against her.
“Shall we head upstairs?” There was a playfulness to her voice, and although he wanted nothing more than to take her to his room and lay claim to her mind, body and soul, he’d given her the promise of time. He sincerely hoped that what he’d already given was enough.
“Are you sure that’s what you want?” He stared into her eyes of viridian and held his breath as he awaited her answer.
“I’m not sure.” Disappointment flooded Leseldh at the words, but it quickly drained when she added, “But I am certain.”
“That is the best thing I’ve heard all night.
” He hurried for the stairs, and as her pace matched his, it felt like a race.
He pushed open the door to his bedroom and she shut it behind them a heartbeat later.
Once inside, the pace changed, and the room seemed to crackle with electricity as she inched her way towards him.
Ivy lifted her hands to start working the buttons of his black shirt.
Leseldh breathed heavily as he watched her peel the shirt from his body, before she unbuttoned his trousers and pushed them to the floor.
He stepped out of them and reached behind her to unzip her dress.
She didn’t stop him as he coaxed it down her body and it formed a puddle on the floor.
She took a step back and his brow furrowed in confusion. A wicked smile came to life on her lips as her hands drifted upward to remove her black underwear, revealing flawless skin with a tan he knew would fade to a deathly pallor the longer she spent in Noctis.
He devoured her naked form with his eyes.
He was once again struck by just how much she looked like Malia.
Despite her curvier form, and her brilliant green eyes, when he looked at her, he saw his Resonant.
The need to touch her, taste her, and savour her became a living, breathing thing.
His voice was thick with desire when he spoke next.
“You are divine.”
A shy smile played on her lips as she replied, “I want to see you.”
He was hers to command, so he lowered his briefs and watched as her gaze dragged over his body. He’d never felt so vulnerable. He was nervous—he wanted this moment to go perfectly. When Ivy’s eyes returned to his, he discovered she looked nervous, too.
“This… doesn’t feel real. I can’t believe I found you.” Her gaze dropped, and he rushed forward to keep her tethered in the moment. He slid an arm around her waist as his other hand reached up to sweep her hair behind her ear.
“I’ve told you before, Ivy. It’s because you’re my Resonant. You belong to me. We were meant to find each other.” He spoke with conviction, her disbelief setting his passion ablaze. It seemed to infuse her with some courage.
After a moment of silence, she spoke softly, “I feel it, Leseldh. I feel connected to you.”
Her eyes glimmered with tears. He leaned in, kissing her fiercely, and she matched his enthusiasm. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and they edged towards the bed.
He broke the connection to lower her onto the mattress. She gazed up at him with a heavy-lidded stare, and Leseldh felt like he would combust. He crawled up her body, leaving a trail of kisses as he went. He tried to kiss her lips, but her words halted him.
“Will this… make… baby vampires?” Her breath hitched, and she broke out in a nervous smile. Leseldh chuckled at her phrasing.
“No, we only reproduce through our bite.” He used a reassuring tone, and he watched her face to gauge her reaction. He was surprised to see relief wash over her expression.
He leaned in again, and this time, the kiss was urgent and desperate.
He pressed his body against hers, groaning as he felt her grind against him.
Her hands pressed into his back, urging more from him.
It took everything he had to contain himself as he traced her curves with his hands while his tongue explored her mouth.
He broke the kiss and panted, “Is this what you want?”
He positioned himself to press against her entrance.
“Fuck yes,” she sighed in that breathy way that drove him wild, and her legs wrapped around him. It was all the confirmation he needed as he moved his hips slowly, eliciting an involuntary moan as her warmth enveloped him.
Leseldh set a steady pace and quickly found himself flooded by the sensations of the moment—the feel of their connected bodies, the intensity of her emerald-green gaze and the unrelenting desire he felt for the female who shared Malia’s face.
Shit, it’s been too long. He tried to stuff it all down, but the pleasure was too intense. The pressure within him built rapidly, and he couldn’t remember how to control it.
It ended almost as fast as it began, and his climax ripped through him forcefully.
He stilled while he caught his breath and stitched his scattered thoughts back together.
He pressed light kisses to her lips, and she dragged her fingers up and down his back, imitating the caresses he’d given her earlier that night. He pulled back to stare into her eyes.
“You are everything I’ve been searching for, Ivy.”
Ivy was silent, but he took the light press of her lips to his forehead as acknowledgement. He rolled to the side and shifted to lay on his back, as he did the last time they shared this bed together.
She cuddled into him and in moments, Leseldh fell into a deeper sleep than he’d experienced in decades.
