Chapter 12
“Oooh, fuck,” Kwinn whined as Melo stroked her slowly from the side.
There was only one thing lazy about their morning sex session, and it was Kwinn.
She simply laid there as Melo had his way with her.
Holding her close with a hand wrapped around her neck, his grip tightened simultaneously with her walls before he loosened it.
Soft kisses peppered her neck as Melo’s thickness made her body quiver.
“You gon’ stop reading them blogs like I told you to,” he insisted, pumping inside her.
Shaking her head, Kwinn mumbled, “But I want to.”
Hiking her leg higher, Melo stretched her out like the seventh inning, delivering deliberate deep strokes while rubbing her clit. She loved being his bad little bitch and acted as if she weren’t listening, but Melo knew better. She’d forever get rewarded.
“What the fuck did I say, huh?” Melo asserted, groaning in her ear.
He was trying his hardest not to fuck her roughly but was about to lose the battle. The way her pussy got wetter, Melo knew she loved the slow, deep strokes and aggressiveness. He was fucking her with so much passion, Kwinn had tears in her eyes and a clogged throat.
“Uuuuh, baby!” Her shrill of pleasure made his balls tighten.
“What… did… I… say?” Melo spoke through gritted teeth as he pounded into her.
Kwinn’s body shuddered as she struggled to get her words out. “To-to listen!”
“And that’s what you gon’ do.”
“Yes! Yeeees. I’ma listen, baby,” she cried, as her walls flexed around him.
Rubbing her clit and sucking on her neck, Melo fucked her harder through her climax and came shortly after. Content and wanting no other place to be, they lay there wrapped in one another’s arms as their heartbeats synced. Melo kissed her cheek while buried inside her, and Kwinn smiled.
“Chu’ smiling for?” he asked.
Kwinn rubbed his arm, absentmindedly caressing an old scar with her finger. “Because of you. Because of us. No one could have paid me to believe this is where I’d be months ago.”
Melo had to agree. “Yeah, me too, but shit… I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I know your ass feels the same way.”
Kwinn nodded and turned her head to look at him. “I do. I promise, I do. You came into my life so unexpectedly, but I wouldn’t change a moment we’ve spent together. And honestly, fuck the blogs. They can say what they want about us, but they’ll never be able to change how I feel about you.”
His dick twitched hearing her talk like that. “And they never will ‘cause I’ma always keep shit G with you. I’m glad you telling a nigga how you really feel, though.”
“Why?” Kwinn wondered.
“‘Cause we got a flight to catch in a few days, and I can’t have you way across the world halfway liking a nigga,” Melo joked.
Hopping off the dick for once, Kwinn rolled over. “Out of the country? Where in the world are you taking me?”
Snickering, Melo kissed her lips. “If I tell you, it wouldn’t be a surprise. Just know you gon’ love where we going.”
“Malone,” Kwinn fussed as he climbed out of the bed. “That’s not fair. I don’t even know what I should pack!”
“Your suitcase is already packed, luv. Ask Saiko,” he said, tossing her ringing phone onto the bed before walking into the bathroom.
Swiping her finger across the screen, Kwinn laid back down. “Hello.”
“Bitch, I got some dick so good this morning, I just know I’ma have the best day of my life,” Saiko said, not offering a greeting, but was smiling big on the other end.
Laughing, Kwinn felt the same. “Well, good morning to you, too, Sunshine. Care to share from whom?”
“Eh. I’d rather keep it on the low for now. Just know… that big dick ballin’ shit runs in the crew. Whew!” she exclaimed. “Make a bitch want to sing. Join a choir or something. Was this how you were feeling in the booth?”
Kwinn cackled loudly. “Please, shut the hell up.”
“I’m just saying,” Saiko tittered. “But for real. Good morning. Are you up and at ‘em? You leave in a few days and need to get that wig split. I mean, if it hasn’t already gotten split this morning.”
Kwinn smirked. “I’m laying her freshly fucked and honestly want to go back to sleep. But I’ma get up. I was wondering why Moo texted me, asking if I needed to come in today.”
Their stylist, Moo, was always booked, but they’d been her clients for years. It was nothing to pull up on her at the crib if it came down to it.
“Mhm. We have everything ready to go. I don’t know, sis. I’m really liking this nigga for you, but I’ma keep it cool just in case.”
They shared a laugh, knowing things may look differently days, weeks, or months from now.
Kwinn felt in her heart that they wouldn’t, though.
And despite the blogs with their messy asses, who’d been posting about her, Melo, and Jabari for weeks now, nothing was going to interfere with her happiness.
“Yeah, I’m liking him too. This man is shitting with my bathroom door open,” Kwinn whispered, eyeing the door. “You know I’m feeling him.”
“Girl, tell that nigga to close the door! Stankin’ ass!” Saiko yelled, laughing.
Kwinn chuckled. “He can’t hear you. But since you like this man for me so much, can you at least give me a hint of where he’s taking me?”
“Nope. I’m not ruining it with your nosy self. I’ll let you know once I see your location is at the airport,” Saiko said.
“Fine.” Kwinn huffed. “You better hope I bring you a gift back, heffa.”
“Oh. You gon’ bring me more than a gift, honey. It’ll be something much more than money can buy. Trust me.”
If Saiko would’ve told her she’d be catching a flight and waking up in Paris, Kwinn wouldn’t have believed her.
Not because the idea was far-fetched, but because a man…
her generous-ass man had planned and executed every detail of their trip.
From the flights to the hotel, and even down to the shopping spree she had at Chanel, Melo had orchestrated everything.
It didn’t hit Kwinn until she was sipping her glass of champagne that they didn’t visit the Chanel store while in California for a reason. Always with a trick up his sleeve, Melo wanted her to experience the first Chanel store to ever exist. There was truly nothing more romantic, so Kwinn thought.
“You wanna know something?” she asked as they rode to their next destination of the day.
They’d just eaten the most delicious breakfast, and Melo claimed to have another surprise for her.
He just didn’t stop, but Kwinn wasn’t complaining.
Sitting side by side with his arm around her waist, Melo rubbed her exposed thigh.
He loved the outfit she was wearing. The sleeveless cream-and-black pinstriped mini dress had a corset-like fit that accentuated her waist. Underneath, she wore a sheer white organza button-down with a few buttons undone to create a deep neckline.
Kwinn was having a Clueless moment, channeling her inner Alicia Silverstone.
“What’s that?” Melo asked.
“You promised to spoil me and haven’t let up since.”
He smirked and kissed her cheek. “I’m a man of my word.”
“I see that. I’m curious, does this trip have anything to do with that conversation we had a while back?” Kwinn asked.
While they were laid up at his home, the topic of what she wanted to grow The Taylor Collective into came up.
Of course, Kwinn gave him the extended version and what she could see for her business.
Melo was a great listener, but he preferred concrete actions over meaningful words.
If people meant something to him, he showed it, and that’s what he was doing for Kwinn.
“A lil’ bit, but you also needed a vacation. Your workload been crazy for weeks,” Melo expressed.
He wasn’t exaggerating. Kwinn had taken on so many projects and killed every single one.
Her work ethic was unparalleled, as were her designs.
But there had to be a balance. A reset and resting period to give her creativity room to breathe.
No one benefited if she was burned out, and if anyone understood that, Melo certainly did.
“It has, but I’m grateful. Truly. Even with how busy I’ve been, how busy we’ve both been, it hasn’t taken away from anything. Honestly, life has been pretty damn good since you weaseled your way into my heart.”
Melo pulled her closer and kissed her neck. “I made my way there, huh?”
Kwinn nodded. “Yep. So play safe here, or I’ma write a diss track about you and have Projex produce it.”
Melo sniggered. “I’ma be on my best behavior, my baby. I promise you.”
The Range Rover slowed in front of a large set of black-framed glass doors, and Kwinn immediately leaned forward to get a better look.
She’d spent the entire ride trying to figure out where Melo was taking her, but the sleek building in front of them offered no clues.
No flashy sign or anything gave away their destination.
Only a discreet plaque sat beside the entrance, and the doors looked more like a private residence than a place open for business.
“Where are we?” Kwinn asked as the driver put the truck in park.
“You bouta find out,” Melo said, pushing his door open.
He stepped out first and extended his hand to Kwinn.
She looked up at the building in wonderment while adjusting her purse on her shoulder.
When she was close enough to read the name on the sign, Kwinn could’ve passed out.
She pivoted so quickly on her heels to face Melo that she’d almost given herself whiplash.
“Are you freaking serious, Malone?” she asked with evident tears brimming in her eyes.
Melo smiled. “Yeah. You looking too pretty to cry, but this is all for you.”
Kwinn sniffled and rapidly blinked. “Ugh,” she groaned, tilting her head back for a quick second. “How do you even know about this place?”
“I did my research. Now come on. This place big as a mothafucka.” He chuckled.
