16. Chapter 13 #2

Valeria’s lips were gentle, but the fire in Caroline roared. Her hands moved to grip the lapels of Valeria’s dressing gown. This kiss couldn’t end. Not now, not ever. Valeria fell to her waist as she deepened the kiss.

They broke apart for a moment, breath heaving and a ghost of a smile decorating Valeria’s mouth as they stared into each other’s eyes. “How are you even sweeter than before?”

“How can you waste time speaking?”

Caroline dove for the other woman’s lips now, as incessant and forceful as she longed to be. The passion within her felt like it was going to explode. She felt like she would die if she didn’t get to kiss and touch Valeria.

The last time they had done this, they were young and inexperienced. Not that Caroline was experienced, but she did know some things. Mainly, she knew what felt good on her own body.

The collar of Valeria’s dressing gown loosened to reveal the barely there slip that drove Caroline absolutely mad.

Her hand moved until it cupped Valeria’s breast, and Caroline delicately squeezed.

Valeria rewarded her with a sinful swipe of her tongue, but the reaction was lackluster.

Caroline needed to work harder if she wanted to bring her to her knees.

Feeling bolder, Caroline instead caressed her breast, rubbing her thumb over her nipple until the brown bud peaked beneath her touch. Valeria shivered, her hands tightening their grip on Caroline’s waist. This time when they broke their kiss, her eyes burned so bright she looked nearly crazed.

“From the moment I saw you, I wanted you,” Valeria said, her hand slowly trailing down Caroline’s torso.

“Even though you were on that man’s arm, I wanted to flip your skirts up and make you scream.

To prove to both him and you that even though he got to marry you, he would never possess you as I would. ”

Her words were shocking, but Caroline felt heat pulse within her and knew Valeria would find her slick between her thighs once she finished her achingly slow lift of her skirts.

“Are you sure you can make me scream?”

“Quite.” Valeria slowed down, crumpling the silk dress in her hands as she lifted it. “This is some of the finest silk I’ve ever felt. It’s the kind of fabric that makes you ache to remove it.”

“Then remove it already.”

Valeria’s fingers brushed just above her knee as her hand finally made it beneath her skirt. Even that small bit of contact made her suck in a breath.

“Careful, you don’t want me to move too quickly, or I might rip your perfect dress.”

“You’d have to explain that to Madame Gavreau, and I’m not sure if she would be able to let go of such an offence.”

Valeria’s fingers traced little patterns up the inside of her thigh as she slowly made her way up to where Caroline wanted her to be more than anything, but her hand dropped away before she got close.

“But what would you do, cara?” Valeria ran her finger along the neckline of her dress, tracing the swell of her breast. “I want to shred this dress on you. The physical manifestation of your settling for someone else.”

“Don’t.”

She meant the word to sound forceful, but it came out breathy instead, and Valeria smirked.

“Though I do appreciate how low cut it is,” she said, plucking the neckline, stretching it more than she should, and Caroline’s hands flexed.

“It will be more appropriate once it has the lace trim.”

Valeria reached into her bodice and removed her breast from the confines of her wedding dress. Her nipple tightened beneath Valeria’s attention as she plumped her heavy breast.

“I think the one thing your fiancé and I would agree on is that it’s a crime to keep your pretty breasts covered.”

Her head dipped, and Valeria kept eye contact as she ran her tongue around her areola before sucking her nipple into her mouth.

Caroline’s knees knocked together, her hands shot out to grip Valeria so she didn’t fall. It was the most exquisite feeling, and she whimpered when Valeria removed her mouth with a pop.

“Tell me, how does that compare to your beloved Edgar? Don’t tell me he knows how to pleasure you better than me.”

“He’s never touched me,” Caroline said on an exhale as her face burned from the admission. “But even if he did, he could never make me feel like you do.”

A slow smile spread over her face that made Caroline’s breath catch.

Somehow she managed to become even more beautiful every time she looked at her.

Valeria grabbed her head and kissed her again, this time plunging her tongue into her mouth.

The pins in Caroline’s dress bit into her skin as Valeria pulled their bodies flush.

Caroline’s hands wandered, pushing the dowdy dressing gown from her shoulders until it landed in a heap on the floor.

Her hands returned to Valeria’s breasts, thumbs rubbing her nipples over the thinnest layer of chiffon that kept them separated.

It was an impractical choice of fabric for a shift, but it was also so unmistakably Valeria that she couldn’t help but love the flimsy garment that flustered her at the best of times.

Valeria’s breath hitched, a thrill shooting through Caroline that she was able to elicit such a reaction from her. The other woman was so sensual, so graceful, that she felt bumbling in comparison.

“Oh, my lovely girl,” Valeria murmured, breaking their kiss. “Do you like touching me?”

She nodded, eyes wide as she looked into Valeria’s dark brown eyes that seemed to glitter. Words were beyond her to answer any other way.

“If I were to reach beneath your pure, white skirts, would I find you slick?”

Her cheeks heated with embarrassment as she nodded again. Valeria maintained eye contact as she smugly lifted her skirts to hip level. Her bloomers were on, but she still felt exposed.

“Hold your skirts up, and don’t you dare let them fall, or else I will leave and call Madame Gavreau back to the room.”

Caroline nodded, taking her skirts from her and holding them at her waist. They were so voluminous she could no longer see Valeria, but she felt as the other woman slid her bloomers down her legs, truly exposing her to the room.

Part of her wanted to drop her skirts because no one had ever seen her there before and it felt wrong, but she desperately wanted to know what Valeria would do next.

“Good, cara. Keep your skirts up, I’ve got you.”

Caroline tensed as fingers that weren’t her own found her most intimate place through her delicate curls, but she didn’t push them away. “Oh, you are dripping for me,” Valeria purred.

Caroline squeaked; there was nothing for her to say as Valeria swiped her finger across her seam.

Any attempt at a denial was useless when Valeria could feel the truth.

She gasped as Valeria’s touch intensified over the bud between her thighs that she only touched late at night when she knew she was entirely alone.
