Chapter 33
Chapter Thirty-Three
ONYX
It’s weird walking into Laiken’s house without knocking. We’ve been moving between Laiken’s house and my house since Cash ran away from his parents’.
Okay, he didn’t run away like a rebellious teenager. He left. Left a hostile and unsafe environment. Yes, he physically ran, but that’s because he was just punched in the face.
Thinking about it still pisses me off.
I grab a few more things from his house every couple of days when his parents are at work. I’m not sure if he’s noticed, really. I drop things off between my house and Laiken’s. I think he enjoys staying at Laiken’s because Lie’s here and they always imagined living together.
Benson has been gone for ten days now. Ten whole days. It’s still surprisingly raw knowing that he’s not here anymore. He’ll never harass or bully Cash again. He’ll never lay a hand on him.
I hate how lost and messed up I feel about him leaving. I keep telling myself it’s because we’ve had no closure. In nine years, we’ve never learned what the fuck happened to turn this once sweet, thoughtful, loving boy into a fucking asshat to the biggest degree.
I want to know. For my own peace of mind, I need the answer. Accepting that I may never have the answer just doesn’t sit well.
Cash and I haven’t talked about Benson since watching the plane take off with him on it. Maybe we will one day. I’m sure it would help. Not just talking about it together, but maybe with a professional. There’s a lot to unpack. Far more than I imagine there is, I’m sure.
But right now, none of that matters. Today is a huge day. As seems to be my M.O., I’m nervous because it’s a big step that I’m about to take. If Cash agrees.
“Cash?” I call as I step into the house. It’s silent. No sound.
The familiar nervous energy grips my stomach, even knowing that there’s no one here to hurt him anymore. It’s going to take a long time to remember that Cash is safe now. Everywhere he goes, he’s safe. I don’t need to worry.
I’ve spent so long worrying and keeping tabs on both Ellis brothers that it’s going to be a difficult habit to break.
Shutting the door behind me, I walk down the hall and stop in the door to the dick shrine room. The one where our omega bed nest is. I’m only slightly more educated on what that means, but the bottom line is it’s a book thing. Not a real thing.
I find Cash in the room. He has his headphones on, and he’s cleaning the bookshelves—shifting all the cockerabelia to the desk and cleaning the shelf before dusting the items and placing them back where they were.
As he meticulously puts Lie’s collection back, I see a tube of lube standing up on the desk. Hmm. That seems out of place. That wasn’t on the shelves. There’s nothing dick-shaped about it. Maybe it’s called something that amused Lie…
When Cash finishes arranging the shelf he’s working on, the lube remains. I lower my head and watch him with curiosity. Paying more attention to little details. Like the way his face is flushed. How hard his dick is in his tight pants. Was that a… shiver?
I’m not sure what he’s listening to, but Cash is definitely turned on. My eyes flicker to the lube again, and I step further into the room, shutting the door behind me.
My movement makes Cash turn. The flush on his cheeks turns pink, and he pushes the headphones from his head. “Hi,” he squeaks.
I grin and cross the room to take him in my arms. Well, I can’t help myself. While I pull him close with one hand on his hip, my other strokes down his obvious erection.
“Is the dick shrine turning you on?”
He snorts. “No.” His eyes flicker to something on a shelf, and I think that’s only half true. “Do you… know what breeding is?”
A rush of heat washes over me as if we walked through a door and under a heater in our faces. “Yes,” I answer, voice sounding a bit deeper than normal.
“I kind of want to try it,” he says, honey brown eyes staring into mine.
My hand remains on his cock, gently rubbing him through his pants. I think a wet spot is forming.
“Okay, but first I want to take you somewhere.”
His eyebrows knit together. “Unless it’s to your house to breed me, it needs to wait. I ache.”
“You understand that breeding generally means no condoms, right?”
Cash narrows his eyes. “Yes, Daddy. I know. Now bend me over and breed me!”
“Jesus fuck,” I mutter.
He yelps when I spin him around and bend him over the desk. His gasp when I roughly yank the back of his pants down to expose his bare ass has me vibrating in anticipation. This is why the lube is here. Waiting for me.
Cash tends to get a little needy when he listens to Lie’s books. This feels like a next-level need. Like he’s borderline begging.
As I sloppily lube him up, I watch his hands slide across the desk, looking for somewhere to hold on to. He grips the edge and then the side, and then where his hips are tight against the edge. He grunts and moans, muttering in frustration when I’m taking too long.
I hesitate for just a minute as I line my bare cock up with his glistening hole.
“Are you sure… no condom?” I ask. This should be a longer conversation, shouldn’t it?
“I’ve only been with you,” Cash says with impatience. “Put your dick in me already. Breed me, Daddy. Please, just breed me!”
“I’ve been with other people,” I say as I press my cock against his hole with more pressure. Cash whimpers. It sounds almost like a sob. “I’ve always worn protection, but I haven’t been tested in a long time.”
“Onyx!” Cash whines. “Please! I need you to breed me.”
I think he could ask for my nuts served to him on a silver platter in that voice, and I’d agree. Which is the only reason I can think of explaining why I stop stalling and push inside his hot body. Cash gasps loudly. “Yes!” he half shouts. “Breed me, Daddy.”
Fuck. Daddy has never been my favorite thing, but the way he says it. The way it leaves his mouth. It grips my cock with such fierce pressure that I can’t breathe.
I’m usually far more careful when entering his body, but he doesn’t seem to care about gentleness right now. He keeps repeating his demand to breed him. His body jerks, his hiccupped cries dig into my chest and fill my head. Pushing me on. Controlling me like he has the remote.
It’s wild and rough. Sloppy and slick. I’m pretty sure there’s lube and cum all over the place as I fuck him with all the strength I dare in this position. With the edge of the desk digging into him.
He doesn’t seem to care or notice. His loud grunts, his high moans are music. Sensual. Erotic. Racy. They belong in one of his books. I’m a starving man chasing those sounds.
Cash comes when I dig my hand into his hair and pull. I gasp at how tightly his ass grips my dick in response. He’s a whore for his hair being pulled, something I’m growing addicted to seeing.
“Keep. Breeding. Me,” Cash demands between the breaths I force from his body with sharp, deep thrusts. “Fill. Me. Daddy.”
I do. I’m pretty sure I fill his body like a man who’s been holding his orgasm in for a month. No-Nut November. We’re not even there yet.
Catching my breath after feels like I’m trying to climb up Mount Pepper after sprinting across Makara at top speed. Holy fuck.
“That what you imagined?” I ask softly.
“Better,” he says. “You’re going to need to breed me again. And again and again and again. I want you to breed me so hard that I taste your cum when you fill me.”
“Fuck,” I grit and dig my teeth into the back of his shoulder.
“Yes! Do that too. Bite me. Leave your marks all over me, Onyx.”
“Is that your way of saying that you’re ready for everyone to know?”
I don’t need to elaborate on the subject. Know about us. Cash’s breath catches. A few rapid heartbeats later, he twists so he can look at me over his shoulder. “Yeah. I am.”
I stretch forward so I can kiss him, making us both gasp as my cock inside him strains us both in this position. I’m a little afraid of pulling out. We’re going to make a mess all over the place. At least there isn’t carpet on the floor.
“I like that,” I murmur against his mouth. “But first, I really need to take you somewhere.”
“Will you carry me? I’m feeling a little boneless right now.” The dopey, happy smile makes me grin.
“I’ll do whatever you want, Cash. Always.”
He sighs. Cash’s hand comes up, and he buries his fingers in my hair. Not to pull it. To keep me close. As close to an embrace as he can manage in this position.
“First, we’re going to need to catch all the cum I just unloaded into you.”
Cash giggles.
The ferry we take today only goes between Bane and Keone Reef. This one is strictly for residents to move between the two residential islands, so we’re allowed to have our electronics with us. It’s a separate dock that guests aren’t allowed on.
Cash doesn’t ask where we’re going. He rarely does. His absolute trust in me is humbling. I never forget how fortunate I am to have his trust.
He doesn’t sit. Probably because I fucked the life out of him just a handful of minutes ago. I’ve never considered breeding something I might be into, but I have a feeling we’re going to be exploring a whole lot now that Cash is listening to Lie’s dirty books. I’m here for it.
Keone Reef isn’t a particularly large island, but it’s longer than it is wide.
Most of the islands have cart transportation for convenience since there aren’t vehicles to speak of on the islands.
Generally speaking, I haven’t had much need for them over the years.
The Ellis house was twenty minutes from the dock.
Mine isn’t much farther, even though I’m walking from a different direction.
However, I make a mental note that this walk is quite a bit longer. Forty minutes to the destination. It’s smack in the middle of the island. One of the eight houses on all of Kala with a garage. Just like the Ellis house.
We walk up the driveway, and Cash looks at the house. “This is the Jamesons’?”
I nod. “Yep.”
“Are we babysitting? Because I might be a little too sore to be chasing their kids around today.”
“I tried to get you to come here first,” I remind him.
“Yes, well, totally worth it. If you volunteered us to babysit, you’re doing all the chasing.”
Chuckling, I bring him to the side of the garage and open the door. Six of the eight garages on Kala have been converted into apartments. It’s a small part to help combat the need for housing.
“Oh! Danny moved out? I’ve always wanted to see what one of the apartments looked like.”
He’s so fucking cute and hasn’t caught on yet. My sweet summer child.
The garage is cool. Maybe because of the cement floor.
It’s wide open, too. There’s a bathroom/laundry room combination that’s closed off, and the roof of the bathroom carries over the small galley kitchen.
Above this area is a loft with open stairs against the back wall.
I appreciate stairs instead of a ladder. Otherwise, the space is without walls.
“This is really cool,” Cash says.
“I’m thinking that area under the stairs is a good place for drums. Off in the corner, out of the way but still usable. This area here can be the living space, and over by the big door that opens can be set up for dining. Obviously, the loft is the bedroom.”
“If you set it up like that, the living room separates the dining from the kitchen,” Cash says.
“Yes, but it makes more sense to entertain around the table, no?”
He shrugs. “I mean, you could separate the long way instead.” He moves to where he references and runs his hands down the length on each side. “Then, when you open the door, you have both area extensions. But does the driveway belong to the garage? Is that their ‘outdoor space’?”
“Most of the driveway is, yes. The side yard that curls around the side of the house is also part of the apartment.”
“That’s cool.”
He’s peeking out the small window to the side yard now. “It’s a good-sized space. Someone set up a patio area. There’s a small garden too. I love the shade.”
I smile. He’s so fucking cute. And still oblivious.
When he turns away from the window, I pull him to my chest, and he smiles. I love the way his arms wrap around my neck as he gets close.
“You like this space?”
“Yes, it’s awesome.”
“Is it big enough for two people?”
Cash glances around again. “Lie and I always said we’d live together, but I think we’d need two spaces for beds. It would be a little awkward with him and Laiken, you know?”
Oh, for fuck’s sake.
“Can you see yourself living here?”
“Yeah, totally. Who’s moving in? Think we can convince them not to?”
“Cash, I swear. You’re so fucking cute when you’re being oblivious.”
His eyes narrow. “Oh, yeah?”
“I’m moving in,” I tell him, and his eyebrows jump into his hairline. “I want you to move in with me. Share this apartment with me.”
The audible sound of his sharp inhale almost has me laughing. Fuck’s sake. How did he not catch on?
“Really?”
“Yes, really. I signed the lease this morning.”
“That’s where you went?”
“That’s where I went,” I agree.
“You… want to live with me?”
“Cash,” I murmur and press my lips to his for a moment. “I want to spend every single moment of my life with you for as long as I live. Yes. Live with me. Please. If it’s not too soon for you.”
His eyes get glassy, and he shakes his head. “No. Well, maybe, but I don’t care if it’s too soon. I want to live with you. I want to have a home with you.”
He tucks himself into my arms and buries his face in my neck.
Thank fuck for that.
“I can’t wait to live with you,” he whispers. “Please don’t ever fall in love with someone else.”
I sigh and hold him tighter to me. “Never.”
